(I actually think that first one might be a horse...)

These two things scare the crap out of me, I am consistently reminded of said fear say - when my sister watches national geo and I see Monkeys every where on the TV, or when we drive pass a farm or when the cows are released right behind our house! :gasp:

I say this because I watched Arachnophobia the other day and said to myself why isn't there a movie about Maimouphobia or Bovinophobia? These are much more rational fears than the first :rage:

Where are THEIR movies?!?

Aww Monkeys are well adorable! Though the one in that picture does look pretty damn frigging scary. Also, Arachnophobia is one of the most common fears of the human race. This is because the survival relevance of the fear of spiders is considerably high as we have evolved to be fearful of things that are possible harmful to us.

I love spiders and I release them anytime I see 'em, I never kill 'em

...now cows...they can charge you down, and monkey's have that disease from their bite :thehell:

Well I haven't encountered very many monkeys in person, but I don't blame you for your fear of cows :gonk: When I went to visit Scotland a few years back, I was in search of a particular ancient stone circle that lay in a farmer's field, and after asking local people for directions, the farmer who owned the farm was very nice and gave me directions to get to it, by going over the fence in one of the pastures. Well, after finding the stone circle and taking pictures and hanging out at it for a bit to admire it, I started heading back towards the fence to get out of the pasture. Well...after turning my head to look behind me at one point, I found that I was being followed by a huge herd of about 30 large cows :gonk: And they were all staring at me, and they kept following me, so I kind of just walked very fast away from them as fast as I could and climbed over the fence out of there. It was probably the most traumatizing experience I've ever had with a farm animal O_O Cows can be devious, if they're given the chance to be :mokken:

While I love cows and monkeys and can't understand a constant fear of them, I can see where the fear comes from if someone has a traumatic experience.

Cows can be very scary when (like Gamingway said) they march, or even break into a quick trot in their massive herds towards you. Cows are pretty huge creatures and you do not want to be standing there when they charge. If you see them moving towards you in large numbers then you really need to get out of that field. I've had it happen to me before and we were chased pretty much right up to and over the fence.

Would I say I'm afraid of cows? No. The majority of the time they are fine, and appearance wise I see nothing to fear.

As for monkeys... I'm very much a monkey fan, so I struggle to be afraid of something I want to feed a milk bottle, dress up in an Elvis costume and carry on my back.

Now if I was to be attacked by a gang of monkeys? I might be scared for that moment, as monkeys in general are very devious creatures and can be quite the violent pest.
