Final Fantasy 9 has always been one of my favorites, if not the favorite, out of the series. However, sadly, I didn't get as many opportunities to sit down and enjoy it as much as the other installments (namely FF7, 8, 10 and so on) because I didn't own it until only a few years ago. Simply borrowing a full-length RPG from a friend isn't very appealing.

Well, recently I got the urge and started playing again. Only, I didn't just want to play it. I wanted to do everything-- do all the secret stuff, get all the missable items (except Excalibur II). All of it. And to top it all off... I want to write an FAQ for GameFAQs.

And so that's what I'm doing right now! However, I've hit a snag:

I'm at the stage where I'm just forming the "skeleton" of my guide, and I'd like to have a complete Beastiary finished before I start the guide proper. One vital part of any Beastiary, I think, would be listing the basic Elemental strengths and weaknesses of each monster. However, none of the GameFAQs guides have the information. The official Brady Games strategy guide doesn't have that either-- but they tell you it is out there, and that you have to go to PlayOnline to get it. Well... PlayOnline apparently got rid of it. The solution?

Apparently, it's this link:
http://www.square-enix-usa.com/strategy/FF9.

Too bad it doesn't work.

So my question is ...does anybody have this information, or know where I can find it? I'm really hurting for help, here.

Thanks in advance.

Moved to FF Nine Help Booth.

It seems to me the only way to do this is the exhaustive way...going through and scanning every individual enemy. If you can't find the information elsewhere, that's really the only other option.

Have you tried this site? I haven't gone through the entire thing but they appear to have the full list of monsters and all of the necessary information about them.

Nephry, in a single evening that site has become my bible-- making you the champion of my newfound religion.

And so begs the question: Want any holy offerings? I mean, I'm sure I've got a firstborn son or something lying around here somewhere.
