Anyone have a specific morning and night ritual that they go by every day?

Mine varies from the working days to the weekends. I don't have one on weekends, I just do whatever.

During the work week I'm up at 6:30am and only give myself an hour to get ready and out the door ready to start at 8am.

I wake up and have a shower straight away. I'll probably be in there for around 15 minutes, 25 if I want to wash my hair as well.

Then I'll get into my work uniform, and then take my work bag out to the kitchen and prepare my lunch.

Then I'll go back to the bathroom, brush my teeth and do my makeup which will take around 10 minutes.

Then I go back to the bedroom and put on my jewellery and reading glasses.

Then I'm done and ready to leave.

It really isn't a difficult routine. I'm too tired to be bothered with crazy hairdo's and perfect make up just to go to work in, so I do the bare minimum which I make sure is also presentable.

No breakfast for me. Can't stomach the stuff in the morning and I don't allow enough time for it either.

Then when I come home I put my bag back in my room, take out my lunch containers and such and put them by the sink.

I'll then go take off all my jewellery and then have a shower and put my workclothes in the laundry room.

That's as boring as it gets. Nothing weird or wonderful happens in my day to day routines.

Does anyone here have something they have to do every day during their morning/night rituals? Something that could be detrimental to your health if you didn't do it?

I know some people that will spend about an hour just doing their hair and makeup in the morning. No thanks, not for me. I can't stand make-up caked onto my face and my hair is too long to do anything fancy with in a hurry. <_<

Work days are usually ignore my alarm and set it to sleep for about an hour, then its pr4etty much always a case of diving out of bed, making sure the kids dressed brush my teeth have a wash leg it out the door and il brush my hair and eat my breakfast at work....

dont really have a night time ritual, i just brush my teeth before getting in bed

Right I don't really have a ritual on the weekends, it's a bit random in the morning and night.

Weekdays in the mornings I'll set an alarm at 5:45am, then sleep through it then wake up at the alarm at 6:20am. Then I will have a shower. Then I will go throw the dog out for a wee, then I turn on the laptop.... then I make a coffee and go and blow dry my hair while I wait for the kettle to boil.

Then I sit and drink my coffee and watch some morning tv for 10 minutes. Then I will blow my hair again because it is probably still a bit damp.

Then it is time to straighten the hair, then apply make up, then I go and brush my teeth because I must eat breakfast before I can brush them or it doesn't feel right. Then I get changed and then I catch the bus/drive to work.

Amazing  so interesting!!

Got some interesting topics popping up here at the moment :lew:

Anyways, in the morning I tend to follow a fairly predictable pattern: wake up, procrastinate about getting up (depending on the time), get dressed, wake myself up properly with some cold water, have breakfast, get on my laptop and do whatever needs doing, or kill time by watching anime. I tend to leave cleaning myself up in general - having a quick shower, cleaning my teeth, doing my hair, etc etc - until at least 9am, when other people are awake (weekends) or out of the house (weekdays). Slightly earlier if I need to go to University early, because it takes me at least fifteen minutes to do my hair as well. If I'm staying in, I'll probably have a mid-morning snack at around 10am as well. I'm VERY predictable in the morning.

I don't really have an evening ritual, though...normally I'll spend however long I feel like on my laptop, get myself ready for bed, and either go straight to sleep or watch an episode of whatever DVD boxset it is that I'm watching at the moment. I'm pretty much brain dead by 9pm.

I tend to wake up between 8:30 and 9 naturally, at which point I go downstairs and make myself a nice bowl of porridge with some cut up banana on top! I then watch a little TV, no more than an hour really.

In the evening, I tend to get tired pretty early, between 10 and 12. I'll do some reading around this time whilst cuddled up in bed then go to sleep around 11 (12 if the book grabs me).

My boyfriend is completely different! He gets up at 11 and goes to bed about 2am. I can't stay up that late; I find it impossible to lie in, so late nights leave me feeling drained and irritated. As soon as it's 9:30am (latest), hunger strikes and I need breakfast! ;) Breakfast is more important than lying in. :)

Weekdays i get up at 5.37am. I get up brush my teeth and get changed then im basically out the door 10 minutes later to get to work for 7. 5.37 sounds like a weird time but in the mornings every minute extra in bed makes a differnce D:
I dont shower as it would wake everyone up and im going into a workshop where il get dirty. Thats just daft.
I usually finish work at 3.30 but sometimes i work late til 5.30 and sometimes til 7pm (D=). When i get home il take off my socks first and foremost :wacky: Get rid of those stinkers then il do my weights. That makes me sweat alot so il grab a shower then sit down to some good food afterwards :ryan: Then the laptop turns on and i come visit fff. Ahhhh my weekdays are so exciting. This is why we live for the weekend.

Yes.

Morning: get up and be an arse to everybody in sight. Brush my teeth, eat some type of burned bread, get dressed, den we's be out yo.

Night: debate going to bed because that would require getting up, and I'm too lazy to do that. Go to bed and eventually fall asleep.

I'm just that simple.

The past year? Yes, mostly due to work.

Wake up at 3 a.m for work. Usually I'm off at 8 a.m, but every so often they'll ask me to stay until 9 a.m or 12 p.m. Nov-Jan is going to be a killer...workload will be doubled.

Get home, get breakfast ready, then stay home with the kids. Since school will start on Monday, I have to pick up my daughter from school in the afternoon...(usually I'll try to nap for an hour before then, if my 2 year-old son is napping as well). We go home, do homework, etc. I'll usually drop by here and check things around. If I have work the next morning, I try to be in bed around 7:30 p.m, but I don't actually hit sleep until 9 or 10 p.m...sometimes later. >.> Those days are really tough at work, haha.

Last week I only had two hours of sleep and then I had to get up for work. Zombie-me...

- Up at 5:30 am.

- Arrive at work around 6:30 am.

- Work until 3:00 pm most days, Monday - Friday (some Saturdays).

- Do some online work when I arrive home between 5:30 and 6 pm.

- Head to bed around 9 or 10 pm.

Balancing work, a business, and now school again soon is tough. It's rewarding though.

6:00am, alarm goes off. I snooze it and lie in till 6:15. Get up, let the dog out, make tea and feed the cats. Sit and drink tea, and read the morning paper (Facebook) til 6:45. I used to do some quick yoga stretches before going to wash my face but I got sick of it. Way too early and stiff. Wash my face, dress for work. I have an alarm that goes off at 7am, it's basically my emergency alarm in case I oversleep. It's called "You'd better be up!" :p
Dressing, hair and make-up usually takes me until 7:15. Make the bed, eat and pack lunch for work, to be ready to leave by 7:35.

Around 5:30 I'll feed the pets, bath or shower (depending on whether I need to wash my hair or not), and start making dinner at around 6. I live alone so this usually doesn't take long. Watch series or anime while eating dinner, then spend the rest of the evening till my 9:30/10pm bedtime playing games. Rinse and repeat until Friday.

Weekends tend to be a bit more flexible, and definitely more slow-paced. I only get out of bed at about 9 or 10 on a weekend. Sometimes 11 if I've been drinking heavily the night before.

Morning: I normally wake up and check my subs on youtube. See if there's anything to reply to or if anyone has questions on my videos. I also put a video on so I can wake up a bit before getting out of bed. I usually also chuck FFF on to see if anyone has mentioned/liked/etc.

I can't say I have a ritual otherwise. Do whatever I fancy, I guess.

Night: Blops is becoming a big thing that a few of us here do a lot of nights now, so I normally do that before bed. See how people are doing and all that. Otherwise, I'm a pretty spontaneous person, I think. Once again, do whatever I fancy :)

My life is a shamble in terms of some sort of routine since i've left uni. Hopefully that will change if/when I get a job sorted but at the moment I often find myself with a shifting sleeping pattern throughout the week. Sure, I might start going to bed at midnight and waking up at 9 which is fine but then on a Monday i'll find myself staying up till 4, which means I wake up at 1 or so and then I feel like i've wasted the day; what I try to do from there is stay awake until 10pm the next day so that i'll be tired at a 'normal' time and my sleep routine will be back to normal but I always end up giving in to the temptation of a nap at around 10-1pm and then the horror-show I call my life/sleeping pattern continues..

I'd like to give an update to this considering how terrible my first post is, and how much has changed since then.

I wake up at about 7:00 AM, usually avoid getting out of bed until about 7:10. Then, I go to the bathroom and do everything I need in there (I'm a total diva. I need to look good before I go out in public). Leave my room and then eat breakfast if I can (by that I mean, I usually get sick at the sight of food so early in the morning. Bleh). After that, I am off until 2PM.

Come home, eat whatever I can from the fridge. Then homework and such. I used to take a nap around this time, but that all changed in November ;). Dinner, shower, etc. Bother this place on my laptop a bit, and then after spending some time with mom, I go back to my room and either come back on here, play some Xbox, or watch some TV. By "TV", I mean Total Divas. I LOVE that show. <3

My day in a nutshell. I'm so exciting, aren't I? :lew:
