most badass lead character

who do you think is the most badass lead character and why.

for me it has got to be squall. with that scar across his face he looks fierce!

Squall may have LOOKED bad ass, but personality wise, I thought he was anything but.

I'd have to say Zack. He was cheerful and all, but...he WAS a bad ass.

He's a lecherous loveable guy who can still get serious and kick ass when need be.

By far the straightest male of the PS-Era FF leads and that gives him points in my book.

Saying that the game is shit isn't exactly a valid reason for not including it. If that were the case then I could say that Vaan does not count.

Also Cecil is pretty badass...but I dunno that Paladin garb didn't really convince me, it made me think of him more as a pretty boy prince.

I used to feel exactly the same way, but then I played CC and I gained a ton of respect for the guy. I mean he was experimented on and got sick from it, he couldn't even walk! When he came to he found his friend dying and telling him to basically take over for him.

Is it his fault that he took him literally?

Anyway, most bad ass lead for me goes to Rudy Roughnight... hehe.

But seriously if spin-offs count Zack hands down. And if not - Zidane.

You're joking, right? Tidus was a whiny little mama's boy, and even when he finally grew out of it, he still wasn't a badass. Actually there were no badasses in X.

Its not that he couldn't reach the class he was afraid of rejection and didn't try. He didn't pretend to be SOLDIER, he was fully capable of being one, was infused with Jenova cells and thus had the glowing eyes of a SOLDIER and to top it off he killed sephiroth in a grunts outfit and woke up in a SOLDIER outfit holding Zack's sword.

CC tells you the parts Cloud wasn't mentally checked in for, thats not so horrible is it?

Yes he did....he pretended to be a SOLDIER so Tifa and everyone else back at home would think he'd made something of himself.

Actually, no. Sephiroth killed himself during the incident at the reactor. Clearly displayed in Final Fantasy VII: Last Order.
