Most Gil

Okay,I've finished the storyline and I'm in the process of finishing hunts and all espers.All I have left is Behemoth King,Zodiark,Yiazmat and Omega Mark XII.I just beat Hell Wyrm last night.It took forever!Anyway,my gil is over 500,000.I remember scraping together loot just to upgrade armor,now I can aford anything.....too bad I have all I need!Except the Tournesol,of course.But I was wondering what everyone else's wealth was.Anyone top one million?

Gil is of no use to me now. I have well over 1,500,000.

i got (^had) about 450k until I bought the Canopic Jar. WTF is that thing for anyway?

Canopic Jar allows for certain rare drops for enemies. Also, I don't have much Gil left after making sure I had at least one of every weapon in the game.

Canopic Jar makes it more frequent for Arcana to be dropped by rare enemies. it can be a double edge sword sometimes though so be careful. Say you are trying to get the Ribbon to drop from rare enemy "Vishnu". You finally find him, defeat him, and he drops an...Arcana. Not cool. You wanted the Ribbon right? Sorry, try again. I'd wait to but the Jar until you've gotten most of the rare items to desire.

As for the top Gil for me, I've just scrathed the 2 million gil surface.

I just defeated Zodiark and Behemoth King,and with his 500,000 gil reward,I topped 1 mil!

My gosh, that's a lot of gils, you guys! The most I've gotten so far is 200,000...but I'm not done with the game yet, so... =P I'll make sure to go back to this thread and update when I finish the game though.

Im not that well at planing ahead... i topped out at about 300,000. but then i indulged a bit too much and well...ive dropped to about 60,000

most gil i've had is 1 million gil. spent it on weapons and armour. went very fast. i got it when my characters were like lvl 35. took forever because all i did was train for like 20 hours lol.
