How good are you at it?

I can pretty much do two - four things at once, although it tends to stress me out a bit to the point where I feel my heart beating fast. I can be here on FFF posting, cooking, doing laundry, working out, chatting with my daughter, watching t.v., and cleaning the living room whenever I see a mess that my siblings and daughter make, all at the same time (give or take a few). Yeah I'm pretty much everywhere, running here and there, never really sitting in one place for more than half-an-hour. Sometimes I feel my head spin and have to force myself to sit down and take it easy. But yes, although multi-tasking is not easy, I find it necessary just to make my day more productive.

I think I deserve a medal for my multi-taskng abilities.

I mean, I can post, download a file, watch T.V, listen to music, talk to people over MSN, annnd relax, all at the one time, I'm just great that way :neomon:

Nah, I'm horrible when it comes to multi-tasking, especially when it comes to doing assingments. I'll be doing assingments and talking to people on MSN, but, alas, MSN will reign over the assingment, and I get side-tracked, and then all of these factors result in a rushed assingment :neomon:

I can play PS2 and listen to music, or eat and watch TV.
Although I can talk, write and listen at the same time.

I'm terribly lazy, so I can't be bothered doing one thing, let alone more than one.
So perhaps I could be good at multi-tasking, I just lack the desire to try.
I doubt it though, I'd probably be pretty useless

talk to people over MSN

Oh yes, add MSN to my list. xD I'm usually always chatting with someone on MSN when I'm on my laptop as well, and making signatures on Photoshop. And then there's my PSP. Earlier I was playing on my PSP, while keeping an eye for new posts/threads here on FFF (and new messages on MSN) and having my book ready on my side (just in case I get bored with Crisis Core). All the while I was coaching my daughter her coloring skills. xD Multi-tasking is G-R-E-A-T sometimes!

I guess I'm okay at it. As I type this message, I'm listening to music, watching television, and responding to what my brother is saying on the side.

I don't know how well I multi-task. However, I can write with both hands at the same time.

Unfortunately, I've never gone beyond writing two different words at the same time on the same topic.

However, I can write with both hands at the same time.

Ambidextrous bastard

I'm pretty good at multitasking when it comes to menial stuff. Usually I'm posting on here, talking on MSN, playing PS2 and trying to keep my cat entertained all at the same time. But if I have to throw school stuff into the mix everything just goes to hell and I get so absent minded. Or pizza. Because I always forget to turn the oven off -__-

Ah, see that would be what I'm lacking, patience.

I really do need to work on my concentration level when it comes to multitasking important things though, I just seem to forget important things >_<

It's hard to concentrate when you multitask though. Whatever amount of concentration you have gets split up into all the various things you try to do all at once. So if you try to do something that requires lots of concentration, it doesn't work particularly well.

However, it wouldn't be difficult to multi-task lots of things that don't require much concentration.

I can eat, talk over MSN and whore the SB if that counts :wacky:
...or watch TV while playing on the PS3 and being on the phone...women talk for agggggeeeeeeeees :gasp:

Whatever works best :monster:

I am often posting on here, observing/responding on the SB, having numerous convos over msn, playing on my ps2/ps3, listening to music and talking to people irl.

I suppose that's me. :monster:

I can do afew things at once, but it doesn't always turn out right. I can be playing on my PS2, chat on MSN & post away on here, unfortunatley though I tend to get side tracked and die lots....I also blame my so called multi tasking on losing bids on ebay because I get distracted

I can't multi task when I cook at all. Things get burnt EVERYTIME. I remember trying to make up bottles when El was still a baby and alos trying to make chilli at the same time. Chilli got burnt -__-

I'm quite good at it, but I can't do anything special, like write with both hands. I get frustrated with people who can't multitask sometimes. Like when someone is typing or writing something, and they just don't respond to you.

That tends to be more with older people though.

I'm not really that good at multitasking. I probably don't do it enough, though I work in my school's library second hour, so I'm always multitasking then. I have to answer the phone, checkout books, organize books, reserve classes for rooms on the computer, grab stuff for students, and answer questions most of the time at the same time. These events happen in short bursts though, so I can usually deal with them.

I also have to multitask in the morning when I'm running late. It's really hard to brush your teeth and get dressed at the same time. v_v

I whole-heartedly believe that males cannot multi-task. I don't count listening to music as a task really, because it's barely a taxing thing to do. I can't even use an ATM while I'm on the phone because I'll end up shouting my PIN number down the phone. >>

I can read and listen to the radio, eavesdrops on someone while listening to another person. Type while watching Star Wars and not look at the keyboard.

Actually, I would think that it's just some guys that aren't good at multitasking, because guys are usually either really stupid or really smart--very few of them are moderate. The ones that are really smart probably multitask their thoughts.

If you've ever seen a proof made by Gauss, you'll see what I mean--he consistently refers back to concepts that have been used at the beginning of the proof, and for other people to devise such a proof would require them to consistently keep that concept on their minds while thinking about something else.

These people can even think of thousands of numbers simultaneously.

Multi-tasking? I can: eat, listen to music, watch TV, play PSP, talk on MSN, talk in RL, pay attention to FFF and many other such forums and other sites, do homework, download files, etc... usually all at the same time.

... I feel like i'm wasting time when I'm not multitasking, of course, except when I'm stressed, which is not as often as I'm bored.
