Music of FFX: Your opinions?

Not my fave OST. It had some nice songs, but it didn't make me go wow, with some songs I just didn't like the instruments they used.
Some of my fave songs are To Zanerkand, hurry, battle theme, Sending, Auron's theme, People of the North pole, Suteki da ne, Seymour last battle and the ending song.

So many great tracks in the Final Fantasy soundtrack, really powerful music throughout the game, each song sets a particular mood/theme perfectly.

My favourite song from the OST is "To Zanarkand", it's beautiful and makes me feel quite sad when listening to it because it just reminds me of the ending where Tidus, ya know....
dissapers
. Still, it's a really powerful emotional song that fits perfectly.

Another favourite is "Suteki Da Ni", it's my second favourite song from the entire OST, the singing is beautiful, the violins are fantastic, and I fell in love with Rikki's voice as soon as I heard it.

The soundtrack has lot's of beautiful sounding songs and those two are definitely my favourites.

On a more different style, I really like "Otherworld" because it's just so angry sounding, and sets the opening scene where Tidus is playing Blitzball perfectly, really energetic and full of life, which reflects that scene in general.

Final Fantasy X's soundtrack is absolutely amazing, most definitely one of the best soundtracks not just in the Final Fantasy series, but in video-games OST's in general. Good job Nobuo!

Nobuo Uematsu seriously outdid himself with X. Listen to the Zanarkand theme in the beginning, nuff' said about how original the compositions were. Bloody incredible, probably the best sound track in a game yet, although VII and VIII had some good music too.

The music in this game just added to the overall epicness and awesomeness of the game. The first time that i played this game just by listening to the opening scene with to Zanarkand, i knew this game was going to be something special. When Tidus found out about Yuna, that had to be the best despair music that ive ever heard. Overall best music in the series.

being the first game where the OST wasn't entirely composed by Uematsu I had a lower expection of it, but it was good overall. People of the North Pole and Zanarkand being my particular favourites, though I did feel Zanarkand and its variations were slightly overused. Fight with Seymour was another good one.

i still prefer the soudtracks of IV, V, VI and VIII though, but that's not saying X's was a bad one.

I loved the soundtrack. To Zanarkand was voted Uematsu's best piece ever. Ahh how i love that song. But anyways, my personal favorite besides the obvious would be Aurons theme. It does him justice.
Auron:"This, is your would now"
Tidus:"umm... no its not, did you listen to a single word i just said".

definately a thumbs up on the Final Fantasy X soundtrack. i like how each (or most) of the songs are based on the same key and melody but in a completely different tone. for instance "To Zanarkand" and "Spira Unplugged", same melody, but different in piano and acoustic guitar haha. I'm a musician, and i'm personally more inspired with nobuo uematsu than anyone.

It seems that a lot of people favor "Auron's Theme". Maybe because Auron is such a well-respected character? I think it's because he's pretty awesome. His theme just gives you a feeling of someone calm, cool, and collected (much like Auron!). So I think his theme was a wonderful fit to his personality. But I'd like to know what draws everyone to "The Sending". What is it about the track that inspires you? I'm personally a huge fan of the "Hymn of the Fayth".

I loved this whole damn OST. This has got to be IMO the best I have ever heard off of a game. My favorite though from X(even though its a very tough decision because I love all) is the Seymour boss battle. This song makes me want to dance when I hear it, it just has that beat to it that gets your leg bouncing when you're sitting down. Lmao.
Next would be the Besaid theme. It's just so calm and soothing, it's truly a badass theme.

Like I said though, these 2 are just random picked because virtually every song I love.

This game did have some good music like To Zanarkand and the music when fighting Jecht, those are my personal favorites, but there wasn't that much great music like Final Fantasy VIII or Final Fantasy IX had.

The OSTs to this, as well as its sequel were aaaabsolutely beauutiful ❤ I fell in love with it. I can't compare it to albums in the other FF series though, FFX is the only OST I own and have heard in its entirety.

It's hard to pick a few favorite songs, seeing as I have many. That and I don't remember the names of the songs (it's in my other laptop).

Because I loved the OSTs to the FFX series, I bought the vocal collection for FFX and the piano collections for X-2.

I quite like the soundtrack to FFX, although not as much as soundtracks to VII and VI.

Favourites so far from FFX soundtrack would be (not in any particular order):
Battle theme (for something you've got to listen to repeatedly it's a pretty great track)
Someday the Dream will End (upon reaching Zanarkand, absolutely beautiful)
To Zanarkand (the beginning theme, very emotional)
Revealed Truth (when
Tidus finds out that Yuna goes on pilgrimage to get sacrificed
and when
the party discuss the Final Summoning with Lady Yunalesca
; IMO this is a better remix of "To Zanarkand", it feels a bit more epic)
People of North Pole (Mt Gagazet theme, love it)
Calm before the Storm (Kilika forest and a few other places)
Between Ordeals (The Cloister theme)
