My first full-length album

wow.

weird and wonderful. do you have a drummer/percussionist or are you using a drum machine? also your acoustic guitar sounds very nice. what is it?

anyway, well done :gasp:

That is some seriously nice work dude.

I used to dream about ancient civilizations
Fighting interstellar aliens and gods
But now I dream about washing their tables
And it's bringing me down
Oh, it's bringing me down
I love this line.

Thanks. I mostly use Fruity Loops to program drums. Sometimes I record my own sounds to loop, sometimes I just use the presets. My acoustic guitar is an Alvarez cutaway.

SaShman, glad you liked that part. It's based on a dream I had, which I typed up a long time ago:
I had a dream that I was a busboy at a restaurant in the ancient Mayan civilization. All of the tables were made from big trees and they were hard to clean off because of splinters. There had just been a war with some other nearby civilization, and we had beaten off their attacks for the time being. After cleaning up a little, I left the restaurant and strolled out of the town into this really vast green field with a lot of rolling hills, only it was cloudy and murky. From the west through a gate in this expansive painted mud wall started pouring all of these troops from the other civilization, only they turned out to look exactly like us with the same facepaint and bodily ornamentations. They rode through on these bronze horses and were just making everyone vanish from existence with a point of their scepters. I interpreted this in the dream as them being an alien civilization from another galaxy who were stealing our genetic information by pretending to be other cultures and then miming us. Finally I was the target of elimination, and when I was eliminated I suddenly popped into the body of someone watching the events of my dream unfold on a TV screen as a movie.
The dream about recording music with Odin:
I had a really confusing dream last night. Mainly because it took place between two parallel universes. It started in the normal world in a small town where I was attending school and working on recording music. I was living with my parents. Suddenly everyone disappeared except my family and a few friends, and we were in this other dimension/universe where time seemed all wonky or stopped. There was some interdimensional being who was attempting to take over the planet somehow, which caused the rift that I was caught in. He was actually quite similar to Odin and rode a horse similar to Sleipnir, only he was definitely an evil dude. He had a great big army of shadows that were impossible to fight. I wasn't the hero in this dream, my dad was. He went off to find their headquarters and fight them off, so I only saw some action from far away. In the meantime I was still recording some music and trying to share it with my friends, but they were fading into the other universe and I couldn't reliably communicate with anyone. Then it struck me that the parallel worlds were like different hard drives. My dad defeated the evil guy and I was put back into the original world, but I was upset because I'd lost all of my recording work on the other world/hard drive, and I had to start all over.
The dream about the universe imploding, I've written out so many times, but I can't find it. Oh well, here goes:

I was in this large space station/colony that the human race sent out freely floating through outer space. Something had happened that caused us to flee from the planet, and I think we may have been the only colony of humans left. Anyway, things were going fine, there was some insignificant drama or exploration of the space station, but I finally ended up in my small, sterile room. There was a CRT television propped up in the corner, and a news report interrupted whatever might have been on beforehand. The anchor removed his glasses and announced in a very grave manner that our scientists had just discovered that the entire universe was imploding immediately, and that we only had about five minutes left of total existence. I suppose this was inspired by David Bowie's "Five Years." Most people didn't really know how to feel about it, including me. A lot of people went around declaring their true loves. Finally, I took my last breath, and everything went black. I don't know if I was technically conscious, but I'm sure that I was no longer a body or mind. But even in total nonexistence, everything felt calm and warm. It was very reassuring.

Experiencing that dream made me stop fearing death. I later took a course in Hindu Philosophy, and was reminded of my dream by the idea that Brahman is the underlying infinite existence/consciousness that lies underneath and superior to physical mind/body existence.

Some nice work you got there dude ;D keep up the work... i might have to download a couple of the songs later... the song that i like best out of them is The Cathode Commission very good song loved it from the word go..... the people in that song has very good voices as well :)

I really like your voice. It reminds me ALOT of Death Cab for Cutie, but more raw, and natural. You really have a special gift methinks. I have to say that the three parts of Sleep Paralysis are my favorites. Idk why, but I've always been attracted to instrumental pieces, and you did excellent with that one. ^_^

Though, I gotta say that the lyrics in "Hymn of the Busser" are very good. :)
