I use a program called GIMP if you don't know. It is much like PS, but free!

WOW! Awesome work, I would usually comment on everything, but it could take me 20 minutes now, and I havent got much time due to exams, so Ill comment on them later.

Great stuff. Some of those backgrounds though, how'd you get them with GIMP?
 
i just downloaded GIMP....Im totally clueless..mind giving me some advice?

Yea, sure. Ask me what you want to do and I'll help you.

Well, you first have to learn the basic commands of GIMP. Read the instruction packet it has as an extra DL. After that, file --> New , 500 x 100 for a sig thing. Fill it with a color. Dialogs ---> layers is what you do on each layer. So, open that up and click the white piece of paper for a new layer. Now, each layer overrides the layer before it if you fill it with a color, that is why you need to make space and all. =D

I hope that helps. It's sort of complicated getting started. if it doesn't search for GIMP tutorials. I did at first, but then adapted to my own style.

I was never good with GIMP, I always use Photoshop, but it's so expensive, and Adobe could be evil sometimes XD
 
I'd have to say overall your stuff is really good. Though I dispise gimp, I say you did a good job using it.
 
I really like the Samurai Champloo sig in the first post. Try adding a couple of gradients and light source to it.

Most of your sigs leave a blank black space on the sides and such. Try either resizing the sig, or just cropping it off all together in paint. No one cares if your sig is 342x100 pixels.
