My xbox 360 broke! D: ROD

Well i got the red ring of death after spending 24 hours playing the game
Now everytime i urn on my xbox red rings go on the thing and it doesint work and i gotta unplug it
if i dont play it for a while, will it work again?
What should i do if i ever wanna play final fantasy again?
plus my big brothers are gunna get mad,cuz its there xbox

Calm down. I'd advise you tell your brothers.

It was always gonna happen, its an xbox

They'll probably have the receipt and Microsoft provide warranty (least they could do).

They'll get it fixed and you'll be without it for a while, but they send delivery to and from your home so the only chore will be finding a box.

(you cant use the original box to send it. that'll cause mass confusion among their staff )

No i have had this xbox for about 3 years and the warrenty is expired
and if i tell my brothers they will hit me

there are a few things to do...
1. turn it on and off a few times and if it still gets a red ring after about 3 tries it wont go away
2. if it doesnt turn back on and still gets a red ring you have to mail it to microsoft and they'll send a new one for free with all of your memory still there. it just takes a few weeks.

so in the long run, it can work again. just gotta be patient. and no one person can cause a red ring. it's completely based on the console and most of them eventually get it. mine had a 3/4 ring and i just turned it on and off a few times and it started to work again. but just call microsoft and mail it in for a new one. they mail it back with all your data still in tact

I'd take harlequin's advice.

I've never played on a 360, so I have no idea what to do. xD Hopefully, you'll get it fixed. And I'm sure your brothers aren't gonna be too upset. After all, it's the RRoD. It happens in about 1/3 of all 360s at some point, or so I've heard.

it doesnt matter if the warranty expired or not, mail it back to microsoft and they'll still fix it

Another potentially humourous alternative would be to turn the xbox off and wait for one of them to turn it on and discover it.

You'll have to pull one hell of an acting job if they try and blame you though..

You'd also need a good reason to have stopped playing it after such a marathon...

Glad you got it working again. Steve and I had this problem and we had to send it off to get fixed. >.<
