For me, it's AC all the way. It looks so much better, IMO.

Meh, if the debate can't benefit the post count of the Club why go on? That's really why I enjoyed it so much, because we were both filling the club with nice hardy posts and discussion. PMs wouldn't really be enjoyable to me.

But there was already a confusion of me attacking you before and I'd hate for things to get personal or whatnot. Especially when I want more posters in the club not less and if the debate was causing problems then I'd rather avoid conflict >.> I don't really wanna scare anyone away either...

Since I think I can become a bit -- um, misunderstood in debates -- and I think I was back there, since you thought I was attacking you or wanted to force you to have a different opinion. Even though I really wasn't trying to do that.

Lets just avoid hurt feelings or soreness as best we can

I like both honestly, but I am more attracted to the Advent Children hair style, since its got realism to it. But I really like how his hair looks in KHI & KHII as well.

Guys... I don't think debating over something about Cloud's character/attributes should be able to make people angry. If you ask me, it's less problematic then people bringing up crap about Cloud being with Tifa/Aerith in anyway or posting pictures for C/T&C/A.

If it does cause drama, then I think we all need to take a step back. I'm actually enjoying you two going back and forth debating whether or not Dragon Mage is right in saying Cloud isn't a cold, enigmatic person or if Waitress Girl is right when she says Cloud IS a cold, stiff.

So, please, by all means if you two wish to, continue your discussion. If Dragon Mage doesn't want to continue the discussion, Waitress Girl, I'll gladly discuss it with you. After all, it's about Cloud and it has a lot of potential behind it for discussion.

That said, by all means guys. Everyone can step in that discussion.

I actually agree here too. The yellow and super spikiness was his signature, and it missed -- but Dissidia does kinda have the same style.

I totally agree, I like both too! But I really like Advent Children because of how realistic it is, it just looks like it got that way from riding his motorcycle all the time!

I loved that scene! They were both so quiet and somber it was sorta funny. And in AC that entire scene in the Forgotten Forest totally showed that they were just chillin.

But for me, it's a tie between Vincent and Barret. Barret has to be in there. He was there since the beginning, he convinced Cloud (and Tifa did too) to join Avalanche. And Cloud tells him he looks like a bear wearing a marshmellow.

Red XIII (Nanaki) and Cloud did have a nice friendly relationship, but I wouldn't say they were "bros".

I completely agree. That phone call in DoC and how much Vincent seems to get Cloud just proves to me the two are bromancers. The cape is a total sign of it, too.

Oh, easy. Vincent totally. Vincent seemed to be the only one alive that understood where Cloud was coming from with his guilt for the sins he committed. Also, Vincent knew exactly what Cloud was doing when he was hesitating on helping any further. To me, to see Vincent be the only one who really got what Cloud was doing and why, I just know the two are close. Bromance, as you put it.

It's just Cloud seeing Vincent as a dad-figure, which is what he is. So, yeah, I can actually see Cloud being reduced to a quirky awkward hug type when it comes to his best friend/father figure, aka Vincent.

Sometimes, just taking breaks in very long and involved conversations are a good thing too, and allows each party to come back to the situation with a fresh pair of eyes. So, just say, "DM, I'd like you to come back to this discussion a while back..." and I'll make a full quote and poke post.

I think Cloud gives SOME care to his appearance. I mean, he did have to kinda go a very teeny, little out of his way to get that wolf motif, right?

My suggestions are going to be really weird, but I can explain.

Technically, Vincent wasn't in AVALANCHE, so I'm confused as to this qualification of the question. So, I ignore it.

I do think that Cloud and Vincent have a lot in common, and Vincent is just that deep, introspective type of guy that provides a lot of good insight for Cloud -- witness the "sin" scene in AC. However, I think Vincent might intimidate Cloud a little -- the guy is a lot older, suffered even worse than Cloud did, is WAY more of an introvert and Cloud did say that Vincent was always so cold in the game. (Even if it's only that he comes off that way...)

So while I think those two would be awesome friends, I don't see a bromance happening. Cloud has girl problems? He asks Vincent. Cloud has social problems? He goes to Vincent. Cloud has self-esteem problems? ...Well okay, Tifa would probably smack those problems out of his spiky head (since she's quite close to the source, as it were, and thus within convenient smacking distance) but Vincent would be a sure go-to guy after her.

But I see the real dude-friendship between Cloud and Reno.

I'm a crazy bitch, I know, but hear me out. I ask you this: Who else, in the games, most matches Reno's personality?

I can totally see these two being like those two friends that are seemingly ALWAYS at odds and are annoying each other, but also just LOVE kibitzing and pranking each other. Cloud has a surprise birthday party? Reno would be the one to set a trip-wire in the door. Reno says Cloud's a bitch at Halo, to which a challenge is made, and the two end up with Reno beating Cloud over the head with a pillow so he doesn't get his ass blasted by the Spartan Laser.

Cloud would be enduringly patient while Reno would go crazy trying to trip Cloud's trigger. And when he DOES succeed, Cloud would swiftly put him back in his place by some briefly violent (but not fatal) means.

It makes me lol like made to think of those two warily eying each other, trying to gauge what to do next to get on the others' nerves. Even though the two started out as enemies, Reno simply does not have the effort or energy to put into holding a grudge, or even a suitable disguise of mistrust.


Other than that, though, it'd have to be Barret. Barret simply has a wonderful no-nonsense attitude that I don't think Cloud could avoid if he wanted to. Barret would just verbally haul Cloud into a conversation by his metaphorical nape. And though Barret is like a bulldozer at times, he did provide a lot of support and insight for Cloud during the game, forcing Cloud to go through shit in order to come to terms with his ordeal (like the time they went to the Forgotten City).


Okay guys, this is a serious question about Cloud, now. Consider this a very dire matter, okay? You cannot take this question lightly. Are you ready? Then....

I've always figured Cloud would be the one to sleep in a t-shirt and boxers as well. And I agree with ya, Cali -- look at the rest of his outfit. Tight-fitting clothing is NOT in the equation. It's all loosey-goosey. It only makes sense that the underclothes would be the same, no?

Anyway...

Technically Vincents not in Final Fantasy VII either; since he's optional that is, that's silly Vincent is totally a member of AVALANCHE, he has a ribbon in Advent Children too, just cause he acted cool and said he had his own cause doesn't mean he's not a part of their group.

In FFVII Vincent came back like all the rest of The Group, he goes and helps save the world in Advent Children; like the rest of The Group, he is wearing the ribbon; like the rest of The Group. He stays with them and fights Sephiroth; like the rest of The Group. He's totally a member of AVALANCHE.

I think even if Vincents a little intimidating that doesn't mean he and Cloud don't have a or could not have a Bromance; the have pretty much the same experiences in life; feel the same about a lot, and they are both cold guys...vincents just colder -- and while they aren't the same -- that doesn't stop them from being buds.

Just look at their conversation in Dirge of Cerberus; I think that right there was a pretty bromancy scene in and of itself. And if that doesn't change mean something; Cloud is wearing his cape in Kingdom Hearts as well. If anything Cloud also looks up to Vincent as well (I mean he imitated his outfit! How cute!)-- more drive for a bromance.

And actually I highly disagree Dragon Mage; in Advent Children Cloud has a problem and he ends up in the forgotten city talking to Vincent; Vincent smacked him out of his funk -- not Tifa, but she gave it a shot at least. In AC we clearly see Tifa force Cloud to go to Agito, yes; Cloud goes, Cloud fails, Cloud ends up saying; "See? I knew I'd be no help" Tifa's words had no lasting effect on Clouds 'self-esteem'.
Only after talking to Vincent does Cloud finally begin to make amends with his sins and admit to being able to "feel lighter".

But I digress....

The question was more like who Cloud ACTUALLY has a bromance with, not who COULD he have a bromance with and honestly I was going off things that indicate Vincent and Cloud actually having a sort of bromance in the actual story; basing my answer off of things we have seen canonly happen.

The only thing we saw Cloud ans Reno do together was A.) Cloud sent him to the hospital in the beginning of FFVII and B.) Cloud kicked a door in his face. After Reno says; "We're friends right?" or something similar. So, no. Cloud doesn't seem to have a tolerance for people like Reno.

B~uut I would have likes to see a friendship between Reno and Cloud too though. And while yeah Barret and Cloud are friends, good friends, I just don't see a bromance there, Barret's much too stern with Clouds arrogant attitude and cold ways. I just don't think he and Barret are "Bromance" kinda friends -- more like build stuff together kinda dudes maybe.

Anyway, you know you don't have to combat my answers on everything right? Jus' sayin

And no, Cloud gives less than two shits about his appearance. I mean, just look at his Clothes in FFVII. I don't think him having a liking for Wolves means he thought out everything he wore, who's to say he didn't just see them along the way and wear them.

He's wearing Biker Clothes, nothing says a guy couldn't care less more than biker Clothes.
