Well, I'll start this thing off openly: WHADDAYA THINK OF NANAKI!

Seriously, this critter is a great and wise kid (yes kid, in comparison to humans he's only 16).

Discuss: What do you like about Nanaki.

Honestly, way too few people appreciate the brilliance that is Nanaki.

Seriously, he's calm, brave, a loyal friend, deadly :P, and just an amazing person. What's not to like?
 
I thought that there already was a Red XIII fan club. Whatever, if there isn't I'll join this one Red XIII is awesome. He's my second favorite character in FF7.
 
Definitely. This place is a haven for all lovers of Nanaki. I was hoping there'd be more though...

Oh well, there's only like, 4 of us holding up the one on the other forums :P
 
more people have to love Nanaki than this! Come on! He's like, the single best character in FF history! xD
 
ARG! Double poster alert!!!

Anyway, yeah, gotta love the red dog with his tail on fire. I just loved him in the game, he was an awesome fighter, especially with his limit breaks.

I guess I have to join this club, for Red XIII is on the top for my fav ff characters

It's really sad that his whole race has been killed off though, I was really sad at Cosmo canyon with that scene

And anyway, he is a mod, he can do whatever he wants :lol:

Yay ^_^ New members! But the only reason I bumped it is because it's the only Nanaki fanclub out there (It's actually in the Directory), and people seem to have forgotten about it. Nobody should forget the howling feline, nobody! :P

And no, I can't do whatever I want. The ony reason...well, I'll just repeat myself if I say why I bumped it. Either way, if I'd made a new thread, we would've had to merge it with this one, so really, I saved our other mod a lot of trouble ^_^.

So, Nanaki topics...let's talk about his father, Seto.
 
Shadow, Rachel or Shadowfaith...there's already hear who goes by faith so I don't want to steel :P

All I can say about that is that things were harsh for him. I mean yeah, he was turned to stone and never got to see his family again, but for Nanaki to go through life thinking that his father was a traitor was a bit cruel. He should have been told from the start what his father had done in my opinion. It would have been great to see other versions of Nanaki's species running around in the Canyon, but of course this does give his species extra back up story for the mind to work out.
 
I'm thinking they should've put in an AMV sequence during the Cosmo Canyon trip, it would've made it much more interesting. You know, instead of just Bugenhagen telling us what happened, give us an AMV with his narrative ^_^ Imagine Nanaki as a cub!

Deffinantly, an AMV of Nanaki howling at the moon would have been amazing too I think. Part of the reason I would want a remake of the game for PS3 is to see that particular scene with top notch graphics, that would be completely amazing.
 
God, I'd love to see what Nanaki looked like as a kid! Maybe a few scenes of his battles, you know, when he got whatever scars he had?

He's one fuck of a tough cookie :wacky:

But seriously, what would you guys like to see SE do for Nanaki if they make a remake? One at a time, PLEASE! FOR MINE SANITY :wacky:

More of a back story? Like you said, would have been nice to see where he got his scars from and such. How he got caught by Hojo and the likes. Would be nice to see appart of the battle of Cosmo Canyon and how seto ended up like he did, y'know ^_^
 
Backstory would be really nice. There is little enough emphasis on him as it is, he has a very minor part after his story in Cosmo Canyon. The biggest thing that he said was that little Meteor shtick at the end of the game.
 
Yup, its annoying that they put all the best characters to the side really. They did it with all of my favourite characters really lol. Thankfully in more recent RPG's they give every chracter a decent part. But back then all Nanaki really had to call his own was in Cosmo Canyon, the Shin-ra building and...yeah ;-; And don't get me started on Advent Children ¬_¬
