No, please, let us rip apart AC for giving Nanaki 1 FUCKING LINE IN THE WHOLE DAMN MOVIE!

WTF was that, anyways? Just because his fur is difficult to animate? ARGH!

Thats no excuse, really it isn't. I wouldn't have cared if it took longer to be released, just as long as they would have BOTHERED to give him more than one line. I mean they animated him in the fight scenes, they could have given him a few lines there and when Cait was talking ext. Instead right at the end they give him one poxy line! Blah and WTF with Cait riding around on him!? Oh...the moogle was too hard to animate!? WTF, your animators! Be bothered for fuck sake!

I would assume either by pure strength or by some sort of magical capabilities that his headdress has? Thats how I always thought of it to be honest with you. When he has double cut, I can under stand how his backwards flip attack can harm the enemy with a powerful hind kick.
 
Basically, in-game, he somersaults and either rakes his teeth across his foe, or he does a headbutt or hind-kick in mid-flip. That's how I've viewed it anyways. Each headdress has a significant symbolism to him, boosting his confidence, consequentially his stats.
 
Makes sense, I suppose there was never any official telling of what Nanaki did to harm his foes. But there you go, leaves more to imagination I guess XP
 
That it does, but what's the bet that it was unintentional? Those fools at SE don't know how to properly include anybody but the main characters. Oh sure, they give all the 'minor' characters a little section which kind o placates the fans for a while, but they pretty much leave them out unless it directly relates to the main character. I don't like that -_-
 
Nah, nor me. For example the ending without Vincent and Yuffie. Didn't they say that they were trying to make it so that it looked as if Vincent was busy saving Elena and Tseng? I bet they weren't even contimplating making Advent Children at that point XP
 
...Remember, Vincent and Yuffie were 'secret' characters. They excluded them so that the storyline wouldn't have too much of a plothole.

I'm just grateful Nanaki wasn't a bonus character. Can you imagine how pissy that would've made me?

Yeah...but they could have done alt endings, y'know. But saying that, was the firs PS1 FF game XP...but still, would have been nice o.o

They could have done alt. endings, but SE is lazy. They don't like to do work, just look how they copped out on Nanaki's fur.

But imagine, for a moment, if Nanaki had been a secret character. I think that would have made him more lovable. I mean, it's somewhat like that with Yuffie and Vincent; they were secret, so they have to be special. I'm not saying they aren't great characters (I loved Vincent), but their...secrecy makes them so much more desirable. That which is forbidden is always that which we strive for.
 
Red XIII rocks! the best in FFVII in my opinion! he def in my top 5 fav FF characters ever with balthier, zidane,rikku and zell...o yuffie is great too!!!
 
Red XIII/Nanaki is my favourite Final Fantasy character, period. He's just a really cool character, always had him in my party whenever I could.

It'd be alright if I joined, right? The more the marrier.

And, you live in Nova Scotia too? That's neat, didn't think someone here would live anywhere near where I do, there's actually someone on FFF that's got the same Time Zone as I do. XD

Anyways, glad to be a member of the club, I should add it to my list of clubs I have joined, which is currently none, so I must add this without further delay, just wanted to wait until you posted in this thread after me to accept my request to join the club.

Anywhos who thinks it would be a good idea for SE to bring out a FF7 spin off with Red XIII/Nanaki as the main character?
Seeing as the did it with Vincent Valentine and that was a fairly good game, but still I missed Red XIII whilst playing DoC
 
In theory, it would be awesome, but SE is too fecking lazy to animate his fur properly -__- That's the ONLY reason that they gave him such minimal parts in both AC and DC -__-

He was seen at the very end of DC, just before end credits, I think.
