Yeah, I just got done with reading through a bunch of threads, and I quickly realized something: there's a lot of British people on here. So, I'm making a poll: what nationality are you? Of course, I'm American.

This poll does not close. Just to get the general idea of the nationalities of the Forums members.

And since the questions are pretty general, please specify in your post what exact country you're from.
See ya later! :monster:

I'm from Scotland, so that would make my nationality "Scottish", not "British" or "European"...just to make that one clear, Britain is more than one nation; it's not that I have anything against the English, Welsh and them folks from Ulster, but to call yourself British is to ignore part of your identity, whether you're a brilliant Scot, an arrogant Englishman, an ever so lovely singing Welshy or one of them folk from Ulster.

Trust me, these things are important. :wacky:

[EDIT] Having just noticed a typical mistake of many foreigners (which is understandable as I don't believe any other nation within Britain has such a bad reputation) the United Kingdom of Great Britain actually includes Scotland, Wales and that top part of Ireland; it's not just another name for England.

there are no islands that aren't "affiliated" with any mainland - every country is part of a continent. You also missed South American off the list, and what if someone is from New Zealand?

Anyway, I'm English.

And Jim beat me to the point there. >>

*MOD EDIT*

LETS TRY TO BE A LITTLE MORE RESPECTFUL IN OUR POSTS. JUST BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE DON'T KNOW DOESN'T MEAN THEY DESERVE TO BE INSULTED.

and what if someone is from New Zealand?
I do happen to be from New Zealand, and I'd like to point out that Australia is not a continent. It is a country. The continent is called Australasia, or Oceania. But not Australia, just thought I'd make that clear;)

I come from the most western European country, Portugal. ^_^

Enough of the insults please. She might not actually know that GB is the same as England/Scotland/Wales/Ireland as I'm sure a fair few people are the same and most people don't have a clue what countries are Eastern European, therefore, say Eastern European...what she said is just her way of saying it. So enough of the geography lessons and focus on the main point of the thread...and if your country isn't specified then just use 'Other' as a general option. Thank you.

Back to the topic.

I'm from England, it's not particularly great, but it'll do I suppose.

I'm from Scotland, and I generally refer to myself as Scottish as opposed to British because people always seem to associate Britain with England. -_-

From Macedonia, nationality Macedonian. It's in the South-eastern part of Europe, the Balkan.

I'm North American... Which isn't really a particular race. I was born here, my parents were born here, and my grandparents were born here. Beyond that, I'm part Native American, Canadian French, English, Italian, German, Dutch, and possibly Irish and Scottish.

Is there a particular reason why the majority of the forum members are from Britain? (And on ACF and Encyclopedia Dramatica as well)

I is from good ol' England, peice of rainy crap that it is......I wouldn't have it any other way though >_>

Lawlz. FFF members are on ED? And, as far as I knew, Lisa (Judge Rulia) and Angelus are our only members from ACF :wacky:

Anyhoo, I come from Britain. My whole family comes from Britain too, so I'm not part Spanish, Italian, French or whatever. Just British. Boring D=

Mars ftw!

Nah... I apologise for potentially messing up the poll.

I am actually from Great Britain.

It's an ok place... In some parts... Or at least it has the potential to be. It just needs a bit more Britishing up... and fewer yobs... and better music playing in its streets. And playparks with actual children playing in them and not a group of teenage, yobish, alcoholic, drug-fuelled, knife wielding monkey-heads. :P

i'm American, born and raised. however im not sure that if after the last 8 years thats something to be proud of.

but based on my ancestors:
i hail from:
Isreal
France
Germany
the Netherlands
Russia
Italy
Native America.

i think that answers the question sufficiently. lol.

Born in the Philippines, but raised here in the U.S. So that makes me a Filipina. I also have a bit of Irish from my mom's side of the family, but very very little. A lot of people mistake for me for a Chinese, Korean, Mexican, etc. It's quite funny having them guess what my nationality is. The responses they come up with, I swear.
