Macedonia is a region in Greece. The country you live is F.Y.R.O.M.(Former Yugoslavian republic of Macedonia).

By the way I am from Greece.

lol. Just don't start a war about who Alexander the Great belongs to guys. :D
Both... technically. Just a split land, thats all.

Irish.

Call me British and I WILL hurt you.

Especially seeing as I'm from Dublin, aka NOT a part of the UK. :elmo:

-Kills you;-

I hate it, seriously. Sure, I may live in England, but that doesn't make me British. My heritage defines my nationality.

Oh my god...didn't expect to see anything like that here.
I won't go out saying all the classic stuff i would normally say.
But bare in mind that Macedonians were Hellenics a.k.a Greeks.
Just that...
I would prefer to call your country Scopje though. Macedonia is just to Greek to give it's title to another country.

Well you all figured out where i'm from.

Let's not start a discussion about which country belongs to who and all that. The UN have peace keeping force for Cyprus and I don't have anything like their patience. So this is a warning to not say Greece owns Macedonia, or anything like that.

Oooh, I'm the first Asian to post in this thread here. I live in Singapore, am a Chinese and love Final Fantasy. Lols.

Don't bother about the disputes any longer, pals. This is a new age already,an age of freedom and acceptance. Simply accept everyone for who they are and life goes on! =D

Nope, I'll call you Irish. I've been to Dublin and its really nice. Great museums and an overall nice area. The Irish rock!

The classic Greek identity crisis. This is the problem when the same anscestral race of people get caught in the modern world of borders and nation states, and seperated, which is really only a very modern thing. There's hard feeling about areas western Turkey for the same reasons.

I'm from England, UK, not sure if I've posted it up here yet or not. It's ok. I'm proud of being British, sort of... But I'm not so much proud of how we are right now. :P But then again, thats how it works isn't it? No-one ever is. The human race is fascinating in its nostalgic thoughts, looking forwards by looking backwards.

What has this to do with the Hellenecity of Macedonia?
Turkey invaded Cyprus and occupied a part from the island. Then the UN instead of throwing the Turks away from the island went in the middle to make the Cypriots unable to fight for their country. They are not keeping the peace, they are protecting the Turks.
I really want to learn what they are teaching to you in the schools.

What I was saying, in a facetious way was for tools such as yorself to not stir up trouble. Nationality is a touchy subject for, some.
I would suggest that before you try to learn what I was tought at school, you should focus on the finer points of the English language.
Now as you seem to have a bee in your bonnet regarding Cyprus, make a thread about it in the debate section.
