Need help with the enemy skill materia

I used enemy skill and fought midgar zolom but after he used beta it sayd i got the ability but then when i chek i dont have it on my enemyskill it did the same with chocobuckle.

Well yeah but if it was that than how come it did the same with chocobuckle

maybe you got mixed up with enemy skills?
if you equipped 2 of them and it used chocobuckle on the other enemy skill one and you fogot to check the other one?

i only have one im in the starting of the game i just came out of midgard

i wonder does the level matter when learning skills?

are you sure it said enemy skill learned: chocobuckle?

yeah when a chocobo gets 3 mimet green and you use lv4 suicide he uses chocobuckel on the caster and it did say that i learned it so i dont really understand maybe its because i ran away.

how am i suposed to learn beta if i keep dying

oh lol yeah it may be cause you run away
well if you have the guy with enemy skill materia equipping a fire absorbing item then beta wont affect him
alternatively you could wait till you get more hp?

or maybe its because im playing it on my psp and the game has some glitches.

well even if it is on your psp it should still work, i'm getting it on my psp soon, but it should still work

It doesn't matter if the character dies or not, as long as you actually win the battle and not run you should have been able to keep the skill youve been trying to learn.

I wouldn't try getting Beta this early tho, because Midgar Zolom is rather strong. I tend to wait till I have the Tiny Bronco at the earliest and maybe some Fire protecting set-ups before attempting it.

You should've have got the fire ring at this point, if you have then you might be able to beat it.

In case you were wondering, yes, it is possible to play FFVII on a PSP.
I have it on mine.

And about learning Beta from the Midgar Zolom,
- Make sure your character aren't -that- weak.
- Set one of your characters as a healer, and another a backup healer.
- When Midgar Zolom casts Beta, and when your character learns it, START RUNNING AWAY (unless you think you can beat it).
