New FFVII:CC Info

No, so far all we know is that it'll be released in Japan sometime this year. And that's pretty much it for the release date. I suppose it's safe to say that late next Q2 next year for a US release and either a Q4 next year or Q1 in '09 for the European release though. Of course if you can't wait for the European release (if you're from there) the PSP is region-free which will allow an American import to play fine

Ummm I think it's going to be out earlier in the US then next year. It'll probably be out in the US Late Summer/Early Fall THIS year is what I've heard. It doesn't usually take that long for the US to get a game after it's released in Japan, but this is what I've heard so, I dunno *shrugs* I don't think it's going to be next year though.

Sometime in Spring this year is the supposed Japanese release, but that's still TBC isn't it? Also, Advent Children was released in America a long time after it was in Japan, so CC may follow the same trend.
Hopefully it will be this year in America, because I'm going to get the import of it. I'm sick of waiting

Yeah, but we're talking about a full fledged movie here. This is a game. When was Kingdom Hearts 2 released in Japan and when was it released in the US? I didn't think the timelines were that far apart, but I dunno *shrugs* I could be wrong. These are PSP games after all and I'm sure they're not quite as complex as making a full CG movie where it needs voice overs consistently or a PS 2 or PS 3 game.

More informations:

The upcoming May issue of Gamaga, to be released on Friday, includes some information on Crisis Core, most of which seems to be along the lines of the other recent magazine articles, and as such, there isn't much new information.

- Development is said to be 75% complete.

- There is also some information on the trailer that will be shown at Square-Enix Party; it will include a lot of completely new content, and some of the other scenes will have been changed completely. It will also be the longest Crisis Core trailer so far.

- Genesis is a character who specializes in magic, and fights with a sword that has a red blade. He uses a combination of magic and sword skill to fight.

- The Turk's designs are the same as their designs in Before Crisis. Reno doesn't have his ponytail, and Rude doesn't have any facial hair, and has fewer piercings.

- At the time of Crisis Core, SOLDIER was organized differently, and was seperate from the army that Heidegger controls.

- There will be a wide variety of materia. Materia can be both found and synthesized (as in Before Crisis), though the synthization method wasn't explained.

- After you've obtained enough experience and exceeded the specific value for leveling up, you will level up via the reel system.

Some news about the new trailer in SE Party. This was posted by Suzaku of AC.Net

Originally Bespoken by Suzaku:

Some new bits of information I'm running through. I'm still trying to figure out the implications of what's going on.

First, something simple. They show an extended version of the opening CGI scene, in which shortly after landing on the train, Zack comes under machine gun fire and then quickly takes out several Wutai soldiers.

This stuff is apparantly from the Bahamut scenario... And may be quite off. So, uh, keep that in mind for now.

Zack is progressing along a highway defeating enemies. There are a lot of enemies caled "G Assault", which have single black wings. On the way, Angeal flies down and speaks to Zack. They seem to not understand exactly what is going on, but they will fight the enemies of the planet. Zack says he'll lend his strength, and Angeal picks him up and flies him up to Shinra HQ. When they arrive, they go in by breaking a window. Inside, Sephiroth is fighting.

There is apparantly also a new character inside, a professor named Hollander who was rejected from the Department of Scientific Research and holds a grudge against Hojo. It seems he was either involved with or behind Project G, and Genesis, as it turns out, was a huge failure. Hollander wants to use Genesis to get revenge on Hojo. Sephiroth goes to the lower floor to fight off the Genesis Copies.

Hojo calls Genesis a "degenerated monster", and Genesis appears. He reads from chapter four of Loveless, which is about a hero having to duel his best friend. He then grabs Zack and flies off, with Angeal in pursuit. He eventually drops Zack and leaves Bahamut to deal with him, and Angeal and Genesis begin to fight in midair. Zack recieves a call from Aerith, but says he has a guest (Bahamut) to take care of.
And BC Shuriken Turk have an official name. Her name is Shizune.
