New Resident Evil movie in production, to release in 2012

i'm pretty sure milla jovovich is contracted for a sixth as well, and i heard that an early draft of the script has already been written so i'd expect to see another.

only the first two films were good, the third was absolutely terrible and i didn't reduce myself to watching the fourth.

(^ Haters gonna hate :grumpy:)

Oh, nice to hear some bigger (not much though...) news about it. All I had known before was that Mila tweeted they were working with the costumes and sets, and that IMDB listed another. Nice to hear the next will be out rather soon (at least sooner than expected)!

Leon being it will be nice.

EDIT: Just read this on this site

Rain will return in Resident Evil: Retribution, along with One in a flashback sequence.

Carlos will return in the upcoming Resident Evil: Retribution
through a flashback sequence along with Rain Ocampo and James "One" Shade again played by Oded Fehr.
So Rain, a dead woman, will appear both in and out of a flashback? I guess its good...I liked Rain, not sure how I like it with the story though. :hmm:

I wondered where that airplane came from. It seemed to skip that part. =/

I was kinda disappointed when her powers were taken away. They were just getting good and then she's back to human again. =/
Me too.

Which airplane? In the latest movie, yes? If so, I'm sure she found it through her travels. Might be she found transportation in Japan and then switched halfway later.

I wondered what happened to her as well. The last we see of her is in that car at the end of the second movie. Musta got eaten by zombies. :sad3:
She might make an appearance in the new film along with Jill.

TBH I loved this series but I hope when they save/kill Jill that the series of movies end cause they killed wesker I mean all thats left if for them to destroy all the zombies and find survivors :/

They didn't kill Wesker, he's coming back, I heard. Also, at the end of the movie you can see a parachute fall down:

It looks more like a parachute if you watch it. xD

In its divine wisdom, Screen Gems has decided that it's not enough to give the world yet another Resident Evil movie by Paul W.S. Anderson, but that we would all be better off with a title that captures the true dynamic essence of a fifth entry in a quality series: Re5ident Evil: Retribution.
According to an interview on Collider.com, the new film will feature Las Plagas because that way the infected can "run around, ride motorbikes, and shoot machine guns." Leon Kennedy, Ada Wong, and Barry Burton will make an appearance due to popular request, and they are lifting some driving/turret sequence out of Resident Evil 5.
Expect more 3D metal objects to fly into your face on September 14, 2012, and check out the plot synopsis below if you dare.
Synopsis For ‘Re5ident Evil: Retribution’ Revealed [Latino Review] [Image]
The wildly successful film franchise adaptation that has grossed nearly $700 million worldwide to the popular video game series, Resident Evil, returns in its highly anticipated fifth installment, RE5IDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION in state-of-the art 3D.

The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, ALICE (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.

:cali:

I. Love. That. Man. :melody: I was soooo angry when he died. :gonk: I will def go and see his handsome face on the big screen. :inlove:

Oh, and the guy playing Leon is smexy :kinky:

It has a title now. Resident Evil: Retribution.

I'm looking forward to the movie. I'm a huge nerd when it comes to these movies and love them to pieces.

Alot of people complain about them, but I think that's mostly due to the fact they've played the actual games, whereas I have not. >.<

Milla Jovovich is my favourite actress so I love that they keep making these movies and keeping her on the screen. XD
This.

I--just in the last two weeks--got a chance to play my very first Resident Evil game with my veteran-player of a sister, and I can say I still loved the films. :hmmm: Heck, my sister has literally been playing Resident Evil games since she was seven years old, and she loves both the games and films. So, it's not cuz people have never played the games that they like the films. :ryan:

I thought they were different from the games but still had that RE feel. I think people wanted films of the VG characters as main characters as well as the plot lines from the games... but I think that would have come out like every other game-to-movie, and it would have been bad. So, I like the stance they took on the films, it's unique.

My only con of the film is that in the last one there was WAYYY too many slow-mo scenes. Threw off all the great action scenes. :C

Pro of the last film.... CHRIS REDFIELD :inlove:

Carlos will return in the upcoming Resident Evil: Retribution
through a flashback sequence along with Rain Ocampo and James "One" Shade again played by Oded Fehr.

I totally forgot Chris Redfield is played by Wentworth Miller :ffs:
All the ladies adored him in prison break, I laughed my ass off when ppl found out he was actually gay. :giggle:

I dont like Miller :ahmed:

Obviously they are going to make up a shit way to have Carlos involved but I like to think the spliff he lit before being blown up saved him somehow.

Enjoy! Just passing it by. I am looking forward to this movie. Even though they have gotten a bit strange, it's all good. Mila is a hotty.
