I think its a great idea :D and it gives me something to look forward to in november :)

However, i might be picky here but how come Shions a veteran member when she doesn't have over 1000 posts? i mean i can understand that she is like member number 2 but i thought the criteria was one year and 1000 posts or more?

Also, It's suppose to be a rare sorta induction it seems. Like many of you are saying that not many will be a part of it because the site's not "so old" yet, but if we include EVERYONE in it...what's the point? It would sorta lose it's exclusitivity.

Also, ~SapphireStar~ would be the next person added to this if this works out correctly. I fixed the Shion error as well.

Hmmm ....

So far I have 1,496 Posts (until the moment when this post was made), and I am among the first 1000 members who have joined the FFF, more specifically I am member #703.

Since Aeris Gainsburough is Member #1,763.....and if he will be a veteran in November then that means that I should become a Veteran way before him, right?

Muahahahahaha *evil laughter fills the air*

It's recognition for showing dedication to these boards. Just like a veteran in the real world is a person who fought for their country and showed dedication to it over a period of time. And just as it doesn't mean he was a fantastic shot, neither does this recognition really signify that they are great posters. Just dedicated to these boards... and that's all they need to be welcome here.
Yes, veteran implies a long period of time. One year is not a long period of time, therefore the arguement against said subject. To me, a forum veteran would have to have been about for at least two years, and have made more posts.

How about removing the Veteran class, and replacing it with Senior Member, and all current Senior Members are put to whatever class is below that? Therefore, they still have their recognition for their efforts.

The only class below Senior member is full member :/ so they'd have to invent a whole new Rank...

Or just leave people as Full Members. What benefits do you have as a Senior Member anyway?
I doubt that this will go through, seeing as the majority seem to be happy so I suppose my arguement is futile.

Not only is a senior member a title of recognition, we get some partial benefits as well, not like it's just a class or anything, but we get some usual 'quirks' so to speak when we navigate around the forums --- mainly aesthethical ;)

Cool ^_^ i never noticed you could edit your own usernotes
Do veteran members get any extra stuff?

Kudos for this new rank.

It's very hard to start a board and stay with it. I don't think a lot of people realize this cause they usually enter at the boards peak or decline. But the start is the hardest. And anyone who has stayed with board since the beginning should definitely get some recognition.

Pooley, you say 1 year is not worthy of Veteran status. Think about what a forum is like when there are very few members, not as much activity, and when you are a very integral part whether or not the forum succeeds or dies. Like I said before, if you were here near the start and stuck with it for this long, they definitely deserve the recognition.

I also do not see why you are so against the Senior Member rank. Its not like it's broken or anything. Its just another rank that recognizes the people that keep the non-spam boards alive so they should get their recognition too.

And I dont think people with 100+ posts want to be looked at as junior members. So, as it stands imo, the ranks are a pretty great system as is.

....omg, its going to be a long time till either Senior or Veteran!!! ;__;

I think this is great, im a slow poster so by the time im get there, it will be like 3 years from now.

Naw you'll be there by next year if you keep it up. ^^

And MR, I don't think that Pooley is "Against" the idea, but it just seems funny and strange.

I'm in no way 'against' the class, I just don't think it's really necessary. The word veteran implies a long stretch of time in service, and I know that in relation to the lifespan of FFF, those people are veterans but is one year really that long?
It's a pointless arguement anyway, because obviously it's not going to change.

So people that have not been here a year....Say I have been here since December or 06, once December 07 comes around, and I have over 1000 posts, then I'll have this Veteran Member also??
