Hmm the video didn't really pull me in that much. Can't say I'll be interested in this particular game, but they did a fine job at scaring me with those freaky looking monster thingies. :gasp:

I've never actually heard of this game till now.

Is it completely new or a continuation from another game?

I think it's a completely new game, I'll end up buying it anyways :wacky:
My only problem is that, from what I've read, is that both versions of Nier are different on the 360 and PS3, so if they link together you may have to have both to be able to get the whole picture of the story >.>

/stupid money schemes >.>

Ah ummmm what. You need bothe versions to get the whole picture of the story? Ah why? Why can they just be the same exact game but with different araeas or something. All I know is that it looks good. This trailer is awesome. Btw Kandy you dont like this do you? Hahahh. Anyway thanks for the trailer Ryan.

That monster with the funny face looks great. Other than that it is hard to tell. It does look pretty good and might appeal to me more than most SE games at the moment, but it is hard to tell from just seeing that and knowing nothing else about the game.

I'll keep an eye out. :monster:

Oh yeah... It would suck if you needed to buy an Xbox just to see the full story. Then again I would just read the story on the internet for the other game if it does happen to be done that way. Their silly games won't work on me. :ness:

Why would I buy a 360 just for this? :ness:

i think i'll get it.i mean i don't like the fact that it will written in blood but other then that it looks like a fun game to play.i can't wait till it comes out.

Ugh, the trailer didn't seems all that gory and I think I can handle those monsters (?) appearances (which has a bit of a Tim Burton vibe, or is that just me? >_>), but only if it's as far as that. Any higher, and I'll be too freaked out >.<

But it looks pretty enough in terms of the characters. The blind-folded person piques my interest and the gameplay looks kewl. Is it an RPG? O.O

The promo lines made me laugh a bit. It was just so...blunt. No ambiguous hook to lure people in. "He's not fighting for justice" got me all "oooh O.O" but then the follow up of "he's fighting for his sister" just deflated the suspense for me xD

Although I'm loving stories based around more than romance. Friendship and familial ties ftw!

It's one of the reasons why I want to get The Last Remnant, since the hero tries to save the heroine: his sister.

That's actually exactly what was running through my head.

I thought the monster thing looked quite a bit like a mixture between Barrel (the trick-or-treater) and Behemoth from Nightmare Before Christmas (http://images.fanpop.com/images/image_uploads/Behemoth-nightmare-before-christmas-226642_715_543.jpg).

But it does look quite Burtonesque in general. That's what pulled me in the trailer really. I'm fine with dark if it is quirky-dark, if that makes sense.

I'll keep an eye out on this / will wait for Ryan's next thread etc. :gasp:

:D

I was aniticpating something a little more dramatic than that too.

I saw this and thought Devil May Cry. (Which is good.) I'm interested for now. As for the 360 and PS3 having different versions, I'm not too worried about it. I have a few friends with 360s, so one of them can get it and I can check it out for myself. Even if they don't, I'll figure out what happens in the other game somehow.
