Like the game was never made, what will happen to you and will you love another Final Fantasy or still love Final Fantasy 7?

me I would like Final Fantasy 12 more then Final Fantasy 7 then if DoC was not made

If none of you get this, then don't post

Well, if DoC: FFVII was never made I would have been seriously bored wating for FFXII and would probably have resorted to completing KHII for the gazillionth time :P

I really wouldn't care honestly. Sure it was a cool filler game in the Compilation, but it wasn't needed.

I enjoyed the background of Vincent, Hojo, Lucrecia, and Grimoire more than anything. The gameplay wasn't really suiting to my style, but the plot gave it an extra kick.

yeah the plot was good in DoC but it was lacking in the game play department there was very little you could do beside jump around shooting and casting magic and using your limit after a while its just stupid and monotonous with the same repetitious levels over and over and over i mean in advent children they made Vincent seem like a kick a** motha being able to disappear from one place and appear in the other but the game let his character down he seemed to easy to kill for a guy of his stature

they could have made him more manouverable since in the fmvs he can dodge a missile that is inches from him and jump through the blast unharmed but in the game you can't do jack shit about a missile other than run for it or deflect it

lol well, SE isn't exactly know for their action/shooter games, so I never expected much >_O

The FMV's were fantastic, because that's what SE is exceptionally good at, same thing with (most of) the story line.

And yeah, that's about what Adam Sesseler(sp?) from X-play said, Vincent is 10x more badass in the FMV's than he is in the actual game, cause SE doesn't know what the fuck it's doing when it comes to this type of gameplay.

se should just stick to what they know rpgs it is what they know and what they can make successful unlike shooters which they fail at really the story was rather dull at points but the aspect of discovering more about vincents past was a highlight so the gameplay sucked but storyline as expected is awesome

Well I dont know how other people interpret it but my interpretation of levels means not that you can take more bullets in the chest (realistically a bullet in the heart will kill you regardless of how much you can benchpress) so instead the way I see it is the higher HP represents the fact that vincent can dodge bullets more and minimize the damage, so instead of taking the bullet to the chest he twists or something and gets hit in lets say the thigh. It's not really realistic to expect SE to be able to produce that kind of visuals so you gotta just imagine it. Part of roleplaying is in the imagination, in a roleplaying game if something is missing all you gotta do is juice it up yourself in your imagination and its the same thing.

but in one cutscene vincent does not dodge bullets but instead uses his gauntlet as a shield

*Looks around* I thought it was awsome... and i loved the gameplay.

*Waits to be beaten up*

I still love final fantasy 7, even more so now that DoC was made. I mean, everyone thinks all these spinoffs are a bad thing, but they're not... I mean, they're digging further into the background stories and giving more info on what will happen next.

but would you keep saying that once they make spin offs of cid and tifa and cloud and sephiroth and zack and cait sith/reeve and yuffie and barret i mean wouldnt that bore you?

I didn't have much problem with DoC. Like a few people on here, I read the reviews, knew S-E wasn't known for shooters, so I knew what I was getting into. As far as a shooter, it's not a great game by any means. But the story, new characters and FMVs are enough to make me glad the game is out there.

i thought it was a good change from the usual parties and turns. got a bit of getting used to but it was fun. i think its fun for what it is and theres always gonna be critisium and praise from making a sequel or a prequel. its a gamble to open something up and play with it again like that when the original is well known and loved. if it wasn't made i guess i wouldnt be as into ff7 since i have never played it since i can't get my hands on a copy. this is getting people to play final fantasy on different levels and seeing what they can do and getting more fans to replace the ones that are getting tired of waiting lol.
