Hello, all. This is my first Final Fantasy game I'm really sitting down and playing (I started X, but couldn't get into it). I thoroughly enjoying it. One question, though:

I just finished my first Chocobo race, to get out of Corel Prison. Back in that room where the jockeys were, after I won, I was reading the letter when I noticed a summon materia in the room that I had missed earlier. I couldn't get it because after reading I found myself outside in a buggy. I tried re-entering Corel Prison, but wasn't successful because everywhere I went kept me in the desert or sent me back out into the overworld map. So I ran around through the Mako reactor and such to get back to Gold Saucer, and I can't seem to find the room where all of the jockeys were. Is it even possible to get back there for that materia?

Thanks.

Sadly not - getting that materia is a once in a lifetime opportunity  its only Titan anyway...a practically useless summon that you will never need to use ^_^ - if that softens the blow a little bit?

I belive the summon he missed is Rumah, not Titan. Titan is found at the Gongaga Reactor. Just a minor correction.

But yeah, its pointless summons anyway. The only summons worth using are the Bahamuts and KotR.

Thanks, Aeris. Your 2nd sig pic is awesome. ^_^

EDIT: Thank you for confirming, Avin. I know there seems to be very little that sets the summons apart from one another, but they all do respectable damage compared to other attacks, which is why I don't want to miss them.

Just a hint, if you were going to rely on summons, just get some Enemy Skills. They are much better and dont take 2 minutes to cast.

im sure i'v ben back in that room bfore, just go thorugh the jail again, never missed the materia though, lol, kinda hard to miss the shiny red thing on the ground, but it's worth a shot. and it's ifrit im pretty sure, titan you get from a mako reactor thats been exploded, lol.

Hye since this is a question I'm going to move this to the Help Booth for you. :) Welcome to the site too. If you have any mroe questions regarding FF games, post them here for as much help as you can get from our smart and helpful members.;)

There are no summons you miss. And the mateia is right inside a corner that doesn't even get close to the games focal point.

And I know it's Rumah, I missed it my first playthrough.

Oh cwap I didn't even see this forum. Thanks!

I would try to go through the prison again, but like I said, I can't seem to get back in there...

huh, alright, my mistake. on the point of the E-skill, it's the best materia in my opinion, took me three runs thorugh the game to finish it though, lol.

You can't. Once you have the Buggy and have already been released from Prison, theres no way to get back in. Unless GS, or some other hacking device is at your disposal.

Don't worry about it, focus on Enemy Skills. Mainly Beta, Trine and Aqualung, which you can get from the Chimera in the Prison's sands. Although you need to survive the attack to learn it, and then actually kill the Chimera after being attacked with it, its very worth it.

And when I say Prison's sands, I mean the sand that surrounds the prison, you can still drive over it with the buggy. And the Aqualung will do about 1000 to your party, equip stuff or junction your materia so that it will decrease that, or even heal you, if you have the right accesory.

I went and got myself Aqualung, White Wind, and Beta. :D Jeez, Aqualung is powerful.

A new question: can somebody fill me in on the different roles that stats play? For example: Luck. If I increase my Luck, what happens? (I have a Luck Source I'm trying to figure out what to do with.)

I don't know much on the subject, but I think one of the strongest enemy skills out there is magic breath isn't it? It does a considerable amount of damage, even though it does cost quite a hefty amount of MP..

And for the summon materia..

Don't you need all of them to obtain
The master summon materia? The only other way to get it is by beating Emerald Weapon isn't it? Then again, you have to master every summon, and when you have KotR and Bahamut Zero, that may take way too long.
