Hahaha! People breaking into houses like pinatas? Are you being serious? Dude, the impression I'm getting here is that you can only see two extremes. One in which a society has to be armed in order to defend itself. Or one in which a society lives in constant fear of burglars breaking into their homes. One thing I find funny is that both of those extremes have a very similar sense of paranoia.
I can't believe you actually think that the alternative to owning a gun is to be incredibly vulnerable and incapable of defending yourself. Sorry, but I find the prospect of hiding behind a gun to be very weak. From what I've read, you seem awfully dependant on being able to own a gun. It would actually be very interesting to see how other like-minded people would cope without firearms. I can imagine most people having a mental breakdown.
