Was a fan of the first and this game looks good. I can't wait to try out the beta (multiplayer) next month. hopefully should be just as fun as the main game itself.

Wow, I had not seen most of those trailers and gameplay videos. I've been relying on PSN for my trailers and such for this game, and that has only yielded me 3 trailers. :ness:

Thanks for posting these.

About the game, I wasa HUGE fan of the first game. It was right up my street. It played a lot like Tomb Raider, but in my opinion with better characters, plot and overall feel and experience.

I love the characters in the first game, and I'm glad to see the main ones will be returning in this one.

This one certainly looks promising. I was worried that the story wouldn't be as good, as the first game was very personal to Drake (following in his ancestors footsteps) and that played a huge part in the first game. I was worried that with that gone the story of a sequel would not be as good. However from what I have seen so far, it looks to hit the spot yet again.

I'm a sucker for archaeological /treasure hunting / action / adventure / platformer style games (what do you call them?).

The environments also look stunning so far. They are also a lot more diverse than the ones in the first game.

It looks fantastic.

I can't believe it is coming out as early as October. I was expecting a much longer wait.

I can't wait for this game to come out! I wish it would come out for Xbox, but its exclusive *crys*

The game has stunning graphics and awesome gameplay. I played a demo for the first game at a store and loved it. Too bad I don't own a PS3.

Just been playing the beta and i have to say it is very good. for all those who didn't get the beta goes public on the 30th sept.

As a PSN download demo?

Or would I need to do something weird to get access to the beta?

it will be a demo on the 30th but i pre-ordered it from Play.com andd they gave me a beta code. For NA region you would have to pre-order it from Gamestop i think and they would have given you a beta code.

But not to worry if you haven't pre-ordered 30th sept it not long away from now

IGN were giving free Uncharted 2 Beta's out today for Europe, they got rid of 14,000 in 6 hours at least /lame.
I'll have to hope I get the MAG beta instead 8D

I've been playing the beta recently as they were legendary enough to put out publicly to everyone with PSN a few days ago.

I've only been able to get a few games because it is finding it difficult to connect to people and find games with them, despite it saying 1000's are online. :ness:

The game I have played have been AMAZING though. It looks to be one of the best online experiences I've ever played. I'm going to find it hard to go back to playing online on simple FPS's after playing games like this, Red Faction and Ghostbusters which for me have brought online gaming to a new level of fun.

I like the teamwork that can be involved in this, and how smoothly it appears to run. The co-operative objectives game mode in particular has mini-cutscenes blend in with the actual gameplay and they set it up so it feels like you're part of the story. Working together through that is brilliant.

I also love being able to climb and such online. I think it is brilliant.

I just wish I could connect to more players without having to wait half an hour for it to find players. :brooding:

well i hope they fix the connection problems before games is released or sometime in the near future.

Yeah.. It's become quite a problem. I'm glad I had the brilliant idea of bringingmy PSP downstairs with me. It means I can play Dissidia while I wait for it to connect. It's getting quite silly with how long it can take to find people on there, when there are suppossedly 10k + people online at any given time.

It's a shame there isn't a "find any game" option. I keep trying one for half an hour, then moving on to another game type. I've not experienced a Death Match yet, but I've played quite a few of the other game types.

Totally on a different point now. The trailer that came with the beta looks fantastic too. The game looks like it is going to give us a load of new awesome characters. I'm very glad Sully returned, as he was ace in the first game, and I'm quite glad to see Elena back as well.

I'm interested in the other treasure hunter characters too... That Chloe seems to have a history with Drake, and I a new love interest more likely seeing as they are kissing in the trailer. There is also a British guy who says "it's time to put the odds back in our favour". Uncharted wikia states that he is a friend of Drake's... But nothing else is revealed.

They all seem to be pretty solid personalities yet again, which is what made the first game so good. All looks set up to be another mind blowing game. :D

They'll probably fix the connection issues, I presume that's what the beta is for anyway :wacky: and even if they don't fix it straight away, I think the story itself is more of an attraction and focus than online. All being said, considering Uncharted 2 is now #1 on my priority list I've yet to download the online beta thing :wacky:

Well i don't have a PSP cos i seem to manage to break them, i've had 2 so far and i broke them. But to combat this problem i go on my PC instead and come to the greatest forum or surf the net.

well that is true and this is what the Beta for.

Just discovered this:

uncharted-2-fortune-hunter-edition-collectors.jpg

That is a BADASS collectors edition of Uncharted 2... The Fortune Hunters edition.

Sadly it seems to be US only... And only a limited number (200) are being given out (you have to win them I think)... So essentially few people will get them.

But it looks so awesome, and the people who get them must be the luckiest Uncharted fans out there.

Includes the game, an exact replica of the Phurba dagger artifact, collectable artbook, collectors case signed by Naughty Dog and a load of downloads.

Lucky gits whoever gets one. :D

It's an actual knife though isn't it? I'm sure I read somewhere that as well as being a replica, it's a real knife :wacky:

Anyways, it's quite disappointing that a) it's limited to the US and b) limited to competition. However, GAME still has limited editions of Uncharted with multiplayer skins, PS3 theme, post cards and 2 gold weapons :wacky:

Yeah. Apparantly it is an exact replica of the one seen in the game. So it probably is an actual knife as well. :D That might be why it is in a competition only... Otherwise people might be buying weapons in game stores which would probably be a controversial first.. At least over here. :wacky:

Wait... Gold weapons as in weapons made of gold in real life? (unlikely, just checking :D) Or weapons that happen to be gold that you can download for the game?

Sounds like a good edition, but sadly I'm not gonna be getting Uncharted 2 on release because I'll not have much time for it. I'm gonna see if I can get it over Christmas and then I can enjoy the story stress-free. Other games I could sort of cope with in between pockets of stress... But I really like to get into the Ucharted story and so I'd rather enjoy it to the most.. So I'll wait until the Christmas break. :D

Can't wait. Gah. Everything I breathe has a particle of Uncharted in it lately. DAMN YOU BETA AND TRAILERS! :brooding:

They're real life guns, though they're most likely painted gold. I'm not sure whether they're replica size though I doubt it since you'll have half the stores in the street being robbed the day Uncharted 2 is released :wacky:

One day left !!!!!

anybody here plan to play this online ???

if you please feel free to add me.

PSN ID Excalibur-king.

I do plan to play it online!

I'll not have it for a while though as I'll wait for a time when I can play it and enjoy it better. It'll probably be in a month or so.

I'll add you though, as it would be good to have lots of Uncharted buddies to play with online.

It's a shame the beta ran out today. I was gutted as I was really enjoying it. :sad2:

I've just about finished the game, I'm up to fighting the final boss.
In terms of hours it's not a particularly long game, although I do have it on easy so that I could beat it over the weekend. It's a good game with a good story, and in almost all ways it's better than Uncharted. However the camera angles at times can be really horrible, and jumping isn't as fun/easy.
And I think they've fixed the problems with the online play, when I played online it took about a minute to connect to each game.
All in all, it's a very good game.
