Playstation Official Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Thread

I beat the freaking thing. :rage:

One thing I have to say: final battle SUCKS. Took me about 5 times total to do it...in a span of 2 days. 8F I got so pissed after losing the 4th time, I quit that night. Went back in last night, beat it in one try. :awesome:

Yeah, he can be a bit sneaky. He blew me up with the amber a few times, and I fell to my death once or twice as he was shooting me.

I'll definately play through the game again. I want to see if I can do hard mode and crushing mode eventually, though I can't see this being for a while.

I have strategy guide though, which I'm going to use for my second and third times through so that I can get all of the treasures... With the first game I really tried to avoid using any guides and just searched hard for the treasures in the hope of finding them... This time? Stuff that, there are a hundred of them! Also, I actually looked hard for them while playing through the game the first time, and checked every corner of every room I could see, and I only just got over 50 of them... I think on the whole the treasures are a lot trickier in this game to locate. A lot more of them require you to shoot them to get them to somewhere you can pick them up.

On an unrelated note, has anyone ever read through Drake's journal in-game? It's awesome, and it updates the further you are through the game. It has references to the last game (such as Eddy Raja's contact details being crossed out, and a quote of Eddy Raja next to an angry head sculpture) and also lots of fun things to do with either the story, or the relationships Drake has with the characters. The Sully pages in particular are great. :D

There's also a page where he keeps names and place to meet certain people, including Chloe, Elena and Rika Raja, but also many unknown characters that perhaps might enter the game one day (I think one or two of them are mentioned in dialogue between Sully and Drake as they're walking about), or perhaps they are just filler.

I think the journal was great to have in the game. I'm really glad they added it.

So, I've been playing this on my laptop since yesterday because I just got tired of waiting on my TV. Currently I'm playing on hard, and I think I'm doing very well considering how little a screen it is. I just beat chapter 15...Exactly how close am I to beating this? :hmmm:

Just over half way through. There are 26 chapters I believe, so you should have 11 of them left.

I didn't think you could play on hard mode before completing normal. :O Damn I could have made shortcuts in that case.

Yeah, it seems to be set up just like the first. The 3 basics are there, just gotta beat hard to unlock crushing. :gasp:

Crushing will die next!

i managed to complete the game on crushing difficulty, i only struggled on those big blue dudes and the last boss :/

On hard, I can't say I've really struggled. The first blue dude was kinda tough, but once I got my hands on his crossbow, it was over for them. >.> That thing owns. Plus it's silent :pockets:

Uncharted 2 is awesome! I recently finished hard mode and I already struggled on that one. >.< those blue dudes and the end fight killed me many times.

Multiplayer was also hella addictive. Especially deathmatch and survival!

I'm completely addicted on online mode too, but i'm a bit sad that they released trophies for the multiplier mode which are locked and i cannot get, and also those new maps which you have to pay...i was not happy about that.

Now i can't get 100% trophies, and i worked really hard to gain all the treasures and stuff like that:( But because of the new trophies i only have like 51% of the trophies.

Anyway i'm really happy with this game, my favourite move while playing online is grabbing the shotgun and stand on top of a building and as he passes bellow i jump right behind him and shoot him, it's amazing that on multiplier mode you can act like spider man and give such large jumps, i find it funny:)

Ill say that its a brilliant game. I played multiplayer a long time today so now im just taking a break since I got it today :gasp: Its really fun and tommorow I shall start the campaign :ryan: I already know what happens till chapter 4 because I played campaign at a friend's. But still very fun playing with some fellow FFF ers

with these cheap kills you all must have pissed off all the players you were versus, from the looks of the online play, its not hard at all. This game gave me the true opinion between the 360 and ps3,some ps3 games like this one really own 360 games.

Can't really see it, but Stang and Dan killed Ryan, and then did the pump taunt over him. Then I come in. xP

I can remember laughing a lot at that at the time. Me and Stang were going crazy with that taunt but then you shot him, and I was too busy pumping into the air that I couldn't get to my gun to even attempt to shoot back and you got me too. What was also great is that as you were doing it to us both you were also shot from behind. :D

UC2 does allow for some great and humourous kills.

EDIT - I'm not sure if I have misunderstood the video thread or not. Are discussions of the videos allowed in this thread as well as UC2 general discussion? Or UC2 general discussion only and that we were directed here to stop talking about UC2 in that video thread?

That double grenade kill you fell victim to was fucking epic. xD

I love seeing things like that on this game. Will have a look through my cinema see if I find anything worth uploading.

Still giggling bout that grenade. xD

You know, I do recall the neck snap that Ari did to me. I had just killed Corner, then I crouched behind the wall, then I was about to move out and there's Ari behind me. :lew: Then she pump taunted me after that. :hmph:

And also, poor Kaylee. :lew:

:lew: Loving this game.

I'm a horrible shooter. Always despised shooter games, and avoided them like nothing else. -.- 1st person shooters are my biggest enemy, but I must admit that this 3rd person that's build in to Uncharted is actually growing on me. The controls are nice, and easy to get used to.

I'm still horrible with my aim, however, I suppose shooters aren't for me. :lew:

You see me flailing the fist fight around - which obviously makes you an easy target, 'cause people with good aim shoot you. -.- I wish they put a bit more in the hand to hand combat, however, for the sucky shooters under us... *ahem*

But I'm having a lot of fun with this game. ^^

If there's one thing i dislike while playing online it's that turbo which allows you to know the location of your enemies, so annoying...i'll never reach level 50 so i can buy evasion.

I'm level 45 currently, it's taking so long to level up:(

I totally agree, situational awareness is quite possibly the single most irritating thing about UC2, what makes it worse is the people that use it are generally smack talkers, quite funny when you do get the jump on them despite xd

That is why you unlock Evasion at level 50. Immune to situational awareness.

I am level 50. It took a while ya. But Situational awareness isnt that annoying. I mean you can pretty much still be better without it :lew:

of course, in many respects its just like those that play normal mode on MW1 opposed to hardcore, they get that used to playing with a radar telling them where to go, they struggle.
