Oldschool or Future

I love both of them in general whether it comes to games, books, movies or anything else. I play with medieval type FFs, but I can't wait to try the futuristic ones, too! I also love when these two types are mixed. ^^
 
For me personally it relies mostly on the world the game is set in. With a well constructed world and sufficient world history behind the characters, then either old school or more futuristic works well. My personal preference is a good mix of both (such as XIII & XIII-2) though I'm not much for the guns that seem to be replacing the more traditional weapons and magic in the newer games.
