For anyone like me who's decided to take some time out of the story to repeat some missions as other members of the Organization - do you find that no one else in the entire group even holds a candle to Roxas, in terms of fighting skill? None of them do even a fraction of the damage that Roxas does and they all seem to die a lot faster than he does. Is this just me, or is there a mechanical difference between them, trying to show Roxas's importance in the Organization?

It's the case with any 'guest' character that'll accompany you in a game - they have their uses but they're not designed to do the fighting for you. In regards to KH there's probably some emphasis on the keyblade being more effective against Heartless than, say, Larxene's daggers, but the original point still stands. It was the same with Donald and Goofy - they're just support; supplementary damage that'll surmount to something by the end of the fight.

Oh, I knew that. What I meant was when you choose to enter Mission Mode at the title screen and repeat previous missions, but playing as other members of the Organization. For example, when I play as Xaldin, he doesn't hold a candle to what Roxas can do. I don't mean when they're guests, I mean when you play as them in missions.

Yeah i think you're right!
Roxas is the strongest of the organization, because of the keyblade i guess ;x
And the rest of Nobody's don't stand a chance in compare of Roxas :)

:ohoho: My bad.

I found this feature to be terribly disappointing. I'd expect lower damage on hit, but didn't anticipate the dramatic decrease in comparative effectiveness. But referring back to my earlier point it probably is pertinent to the role of the Keyblade to carry out Heartless-slaying duties, as opposed to your typical hammer or sword - even if they are as big as you are. :pacman:

I don't know why they did that in the game. Maybe it was due to the fact that Dual Wielding Roxas was meant to be used in the final stages of the game, thus they made him more powerful In-game than many of the other members. But then again, he was in actuality stronger than most of them, as he beat Saix, who could have been contested to be the second strongest in the Organization under Xemnas.

And Axel, without even knowing his own strength.

Even Xion's crap! I never played on to obtain Sora but I'm assuming he's the same.

I've never used Roxas on the Mission Mode - maybe it's because the missions are technically Challenges and they're supposed to be several times more difficult to complete than the original mission?

Oh dear. I've not actually played it all the way through so I wouldn't know, but that's quite surprising. Another deterrent from the game imo. :mokken:

It really depends on how you play, Riku and Mickey are real good as well.
Personally, I like to play as Axel, i can dish out some real damage with him
Never, and I mean never play as Demix, he can't attack for shit.
But Mickey, Riku, Axel, and Roxas all seem to do the same damage to me. But it really all depends on how you play.

For some reason or another, they reduced the damage every character does in Mission Mode. It is a tad disappointing. :sad3: Especially considering how powerful these guys were made out to be in KH2 and CoM.

I haven't been able to bring myself to playing Mission Mode once I experienced playing them all. Srsly, I only done one mission per character for the sake of playing as them all :rage:

The mission mode is the biggest God damn let down ever, especially since Dual Keyblade Roxas becomes THE single shittiest character in the game. Only Riku & Mickey really redeem it.

I think it's just bad design, not trying to hint at anything. Roxas is mostly just so useful because his stats are perfectly balanced. He can't get screwed over by defense or attack & his combos are better designed than a lot of characters. Like Xigbar.

I started to type up a list of the Organization, in terms of power, with reasons why I felt that way, but it was way too long, so I abandoned it. Suffice it to say that I think Xemnas & Marluxia are more powerful, but Roxas has the Keyblades, & is probably about 3rd.
