Due to the recent lack in Original Role Plays, I have decided to make a thread so that people who can't put words into a thread for an ORPG they have in mind can put some ideas here and hope someone will think of a good story and help them with making the Role Play.

Please try and submit as many ideas as possible :D

I don't know how to explain it.Well satyrical is a way to make something to look funny for an example ''Scary movie''is a satyrical movie.
 
Oh, well I can't say because im not a Moderator but if i had to geuss as long as it was kept "clean" to a certain extent that it would be allowed, but i don't really get what the point of an rpg like that would be, most people like to play in semi-serious rp's XD My suggestion would be to leave more info on the rp and then the moderators will tell you weather ot not it is acceptable.
 
I think you mean satirical. Satyrical would imply the need for goat legged pan-pipe players drinking wine and raping women. :D

Though I'm sure that satirical probably stemmed from Satyrs anyway.
 
We have no problems with this at all :) So long as it's kept within the limit of the rules then it would be fine, also we have a sticky thread for this kind of thread so I'll move it over to there :)
 
okay i got a couple rp ideas, but as im unable to post regularly (damn my bros) and aren't a great rper imo ill put them here... first off if anyones read either of the darren shan sagas i think they would make rather good rp's for those who haven't there are two a vampire saga, and a demon saga.

first the vampire saga... for an rp id suggest mid-war of the scars era, which would mean three sides, human, vampire and vampaneze (who are blood-cousins of vampires)
more details:
humans are obvious so not much here, just a couple of suggestions, one any human could be dragged into the war on any side, vampires or vampaneze or they could be hunting both sides down

vampires: most myths about vampires are untrue, holy water/garlic/crosses dont hurt them, they can't transform, and although a steak through the heart will kill them so will a well placed bullet. they don't kill a person when they kill, they take enough blood to survive and leave. the spit of a full vampire can heal, and they can breath knock-out gas. they can enter a house without being invited and they can move at super-fast speeds (known as flitting) the vampire base is a mountain in a remote area of the world known (suprisingly enough) as vampire mountain. they are led by the vampire princes

vampaneze:
almost exactly the same as vampires, they are a splinter group who split off severall hundred years ago, they belive it was un-beffiting for a vampire to feed like a leach and so when they kill they drain the blood of their victim, they never kill a human at home (hence the myth a vampire must be invited into a house) the other main differance is, due to the amounts of blood they consume they have purple skin, and red hair nails lips and eyes.they have no set base and are led by the dreaded vampaneze lord

as i suggested if i were leading this i'd start mid-war of the scars, which is basically vampires vs vampaneze vs humans in a huge free for all, some humans work with either sides, but most are against both, and i would also suggest no-one playing as the vampaneze lord or any of the 5 vampire princes as this would ruin the rp in my oppinion but they're just suggestions.

next off there's the demonata saga

this would also make a good rp, much easier to describe too, humans live in this universe, demons ( true name demonata) live in one parallel to it, magic is weak in our universe and strong in theirs, it is possable for each side to cross to the other, however while we can spend indeffinate periods of time in their universe they can't survive in ours for verry long without the aid of a loadstone (imagine a stone from stone-henge and charge it with magic)

three sides again:
humans again obvious the humans could be normal till a run-in with demonata when their magical potential is unlocked, or they could be soldiers in the middle of an invasion. or they could be an evil mage trying to summon demons

disciples: humans who have had their potential unlocked already and trained by another mage, they follow their mysterious leader beranabus

demon/demon master: id suggest only letting expirenced rpers be masters as it takes alot of imagination and ability to think on your feet.

as for when its set, anytime, demons have been crossing through to our universe for millenia, and will be long after humans have fallen.
 
Man I haven't actually RP'd in ages, but having some time off from school and having nothing else to do, makes me really want to get into it again :P

I just finished reading Consider Phlebas by Ian M. Banks and was toying with the idea of doing a sci-fi/space opera RPG. I haven't fully developed (though I have some ideas) but to give you some ideas, think Ian M. Banks' Culture novels, Isaac Asimov's Foundation novels, and even popular TV shows like Star Trek, Babylon 5, Far Scape, and Battlestar Galactica. Something with an incredibly large scale world and space ships and heroes and villains a plenty!
 
I do have this little idea that I'm currently working out into phases, and make sure it does sound good as an rp.

WEll, basically think Assassin's Creed setting, but with different settings of histroical events and such. But, like I said, the idea is still into phases. However, it is going to revolve around some middle-age era time-period.

Thoughts?
