Paradigm Shift

Nice, I was wondering how other people have been doing this. Once I could choose my party, its been Lightning, Fang, and Vanille all the way. I find myself using the only a few Paradigms with regular mobs:
Party: L/F/V situationally I will control Fang. Generally when I want to fire giant balls of death with Bahamut.

Unless its a boss Im starting with: Relentless Assault: Rav/Com/Rav
If need be Ill jump into: Diversity: Rav/Com/Med
And thats generally all I need, but just in case I always have:

Combat Clinic: Med/Sen/Med (for those times you just wanna live)
Dirty Fighting: Com/Sen/Sab (bosses or tougher enemies)
Solidarity: Com/Sen/Med (use this a lot when Im fighting stuff I probably shouldnt)
I think its Scouting Party: Com/Sab/Med (bosses or tougher enemies)

Now, I know I could use Hope and I guess it might be more effective, but I like the extra HP Vanille has. And lets face it, he is really winey and he pisses me off. Ive been meaning to try out Alexander, but that will the most I do with him.

Now that I've beaten the game, I have a better idea of what I like to shoot for in setups. I find that a Sentinel is a must, just in case you have a large group of enemies or for that hard hitting enemy that you need to buy some time to heal against. I like Synergists for the big boss battles, and maybe a select few enemies, but it's not a necessity to have. Same goes for Saboteur, but slightly less useful than Synergists in my opinion. Being the offensive person I am, Commando's and Ravager's get worn out. And the Medic is needed to heal them (just one, only need two or three for a really nasty battle).

So I shoot for these setups:
Com, Rav, Rav
Com, Rav, Med
Com, Sen, Rav
Com, Sen, Med (or Med, Sen, Med)
Rav, Rav, Rav (when I'm not using Fang)
Com, Sen, Syn/Sab (or Med, Sen, Syn/Sab)

I like to have at least one party member inflicting damage, even if it's not much. So I like to have a Commando to keep the chain up when buffing, debuffing or healing. For those nasty groups of like 8 enemies that won't fall easily, the 3rd setup will help take care of them while the Sentinel gets the attention, then simply switch it up to the 4th when they need healing. The last setup is for buffing/debuffing and using the Sentinel to keep the enemies at bay while the actions take place, otherwise the other party members will take a big hit. But if the party may still take some damage, swap the Commando for a Medic, if possible.

Later in the game you'll find yourself doing a lot of experimenting with paradigm setups, especially for bosses and tough enemies like juggernauts and adamanchelids
