I'm kinda curious what people round here do for fun (apart from compuer games I mean).

Do you play a sport or are you involved in a club or society or anything?

I'm personally just back from scuba-diving, when I stumbled across these forums for the first time lol! :D

Anyway, what do you guys do for fun?
 
I read. I get extremely bored and irritable if I don't have a book to read when I feel like it. Reading is my favourite pasttime, and I do it at least as much as I do play video games.

Oh, and if I'm in town, or can muster up the energy to get there, I'll go shopping. Even if its just window shopping. I usually end up buying something, and I can have some pretty good conversations with the staff of GAME, Gamestation or Waterstones.

I know, I don't do much outside of games and the internet. But I'm actually quite a shy (read: loser) in real life. xD

Artwork now takes up quite a bit of my pastime now. That includes drawing various things and getting to grips with graphics. I have my on-off days where I can create something spectacular in one day and then something abysmal in another that can throw me off doing anymore artwork for a few days. Creative writing is also up there though I really haven't written much lately. I've kind of lost a bit of my interest in literature for some reason so it's hindered my imagination and motivation.

I do occasionally go out and about providing it doesn't kill my wallet as I tend to just do shopping. It may sound strange, but I'm starting to purchase a lot of political articles and journals from newsagents lately. I'm just the type of politically-minded person who enjoys keeping up to date with current events. :3
 
Ebaying is a favourite pastime for me.

Whether I'm buying or selling it's always exciting. XD

DVD's definitely! I am always watching some boxset or movie every night. I used to love reading, but I kinda got lazy and converted to T.V instead. It's so much more relaxing just watching what's going on rather than reading for me. =)

Partying is always on the top of my list before anything though. I love a good night out having drinks with friends and having good fun. =) It's always refreshing after a long week at work!

id say playing my guitar is my probadly my favourite past time along with photoshop art, when im in the mood i can sit there and do them for hours on end without thinking about anything else. I like watching dvds aswell and like Kandy said partying is top priority. Even though im on a sober kick for a few weeks that doesnt stop me :ryan:
 
Meh there isnt much to do, Usually it is going out which is a pastime. I read sometimes but not all the time. It is mostly if I can not find anything else to do. I can also be forced to read if it is school subject related which sometimes sucks cause I am not really the journal type of person. Watching movies usually is a pastime for me but I havent done so in a bit. I need a good one I can enjoy quietly. Yes I do enjoy shopping sometimes. Be it be shopping at a video game store or anything exciting. But it is usually the internet more than everything xD
 
Reading is something I've always been very big on, a few years back I had a huge multi-tier bookshelf, and the whole thing collapsed because I simply couldn't stack anymore books on any of the shelves xD

I like to go out with my friends too, I go to the gym a lot, I'll go swimming, or go to the cinema or whatever. It's always fun to get totally shit-faced too, especially when the banter is good.

I'm a sucker for shopping too. I don't let myself go on ebay much, cause I nearly always end up buying something xD
 
Watching sports and generally doing something creative like drawing or working on Photoshop for me. Generally, I'd really love to just travel around the area but gas prices are high and I have no money, so that's really not a very good option. :hmmm:
 
One of my favorites is reading. I love to read, especially horror and scifi books, and techno thrillers. I'm not big into the murder mystery kind though.

I also like to take my dogs out to the park and run them. They really enjoy it and I enjoy watching them

I like to shop even though I don't always buy something. Just strolling through the shops and looking is enough for me
 
Well aside from procrastinating in the internet? Well I love to read, especially Popular Mechanics though I have missed a few of the recent issues by now. I also write poetry when I feel like letting out some steam. We can also add my growing fondness for sweets, especially pies, chocolate, caramel, you name it, I'll eat.

Alright what else? Ah yes, I like to walk, alone, to give myself a chance to admire my surroundings while trying to view the world from an "out-of-the-box" perspective.

I love to shop, especially clothes, music, and food. My kind of music? Good old classic rock, Bon Jovi, Journey, Aerosmith, Kansas, to name a few.

Staring at the sky during the night while drinking something smooth is another thing I do. I could also add I love learning new stuff, might get on learning how to broaden my experiences in cooking.
 
I usually draw and read before bedtime after Im finished with all of my homework and what not. At night, I play with my PSP, but I mostly draw since I've been practicing more with with my rp character's appearances and profile. I'm always on the creative side of my mind when I have free time.

I'm a tech fellow, would love to say I lean more towards sports, but if I'm not playing them, I usually get bored quick. So I like the build stuff usually, whether it be computers or networking. I used to hold LAN parties back when I was in Nashville, and also helped out at an internet gaming lounge. You can ask me any day of the week if I love hardware more than software, and I'll say hardware, because let's face it coding can be down right boring.

I play soccer, and run marathons on the side as well. I drink occasionally whether it be 2-3 times a month now. I have a passion for Cookouts, and what I mean by that is, I love cooking mass amounts of food for folks and trying out new marinades and what not.

I try to read, but that usually falls through sense I tend to either focus on something else to an absurd degree (whatever xbox game at the moment). Though when I get a book I love I finish it in near a day =\, the focusing part.
 
I like to do a lot of writing. I'm a very creative person and love writing, so I tend to do that a lot of my time.

I have other pastimes such as reading. I don't read too much anymore because I'm either too busy or too tired. When things start calming down in my second year of Uni, I'll get bac to whatever I was reading.

I also like to go out with my friends, watch films at the cinema, go out to eat and so on.
 
I love watching classic wrestling on VHS and DVDs. It's always a treat for me. This is my main one. I still have hundreds of hours of wrestling footage I haven't even seen yet! I'm doing my best to learn and watch every bit of wrestling possible.

I also like to do creative writing. I love getting my random story in my head on paper. I'm never satisfied with them, even though most people love them. I mostly love doing storylines for WWE superstars. Which I can then try to create in WWE13.

That's it really. I don't read or play sports. I do the two mentioned above, internet and games. That's all.
 
my 2 most favouritest things is horse riding and fox hunting (which also involves riding a horse). i also quite enjoy constantly replaying finaru fantaji oneru in order to convince myself that the old games are the best.

i quite like playing guitar, i especially like trying to play jazz but i'm quite shit at it. i had a go at the ukulele but i don't think i'm cut out for it. i would like a bamboo saxophone.

Teaching, reading, drawing, GFX, cycling, walking, skiing (in the winter!), playing the piano, writing (when I feel motivated) and I am going to join a zumba class this week! ^_^

I have so many hobbies. :lew: I used to video edit a lot too, but my PC has stopped working. :sad3:
