Careers end, it's inevitable, and this includes careers in the music industry. I'm sure you all know a band/artist who doesn't do what you know them for anymore. Name them here.

Gareth Gates
David Sneddon
S Club 7 (My all-time favourite, I'll never grow out of them)
Steps

The guys from At the Drive-In. At least three of them are in the Mars Volta (easily better, but not as fun). Sparta's a disappointment.

Busted, they rocked in the mid 00's. I still listen to them even now. Also, don't forget Take That, but they're back now.

Jim Morrison.....He was the lead singer of The Doors and he died in France because he was high and thought he could breath underwater and drown....It makes me mad that he died because I wanted to take my cousin to a Doors concert as a birthday present......Guess thats ruined:mad:

I would say Big and Pac, but they're still making albums...

I would like to say Jay Z, but he came out of retirement and dropped an album that was garbage.

So, I'll say I miss the good Jay Z.

Yeah I agree with you on that one.

Also I miss Linkin Park (I'm not usually into the Heavy Metal stuff, but Linkin Park is an exception).

Massive Attack aren't done yet, but they have been a little quite recently and would like to see them create some new gorgeous tracks.

Linkin Park are still around, unfortunatly. They are headlining Download festival this summer, with a new album in the works.

Definitly Pantera and the 'ol Dimebag. Aswell as Rage Against the Machine.

Well yeah they're still around, but I was just hoping for a new album or something - and what do you mean unfortunately????

Linkin Park's beats and studio work actually makes Heavy Metal bearable!

*Oh yeah - How come you can post if you are banned?

From what I've heard they have some new material, so maybe a new album is on its way. Unfortunatly being, I dont like them.

They dont make Metal bearable. They only have a few real good songs. Theres better Metal bands out there.

And I can post when im banned because I just can :P

at the gates were good , at least i dont hink they make music togethre anymore?

Freddie Mercury - Queen's my favorite band and Freddie was a genius.

Brad Nowell - I really think that Sublime had a lot of promise and it would've been really interesting to see how Sublime's music developed.

Smashing Pumpkins (original lineup) - Please, please, please have D'arcy and James in the lineup!!!

In terms of people who died far too early, Jeff Buckley and Ian Curtis warrant the most mention, both had a lot of great music still in them.

As fo rbands who have split up etc, in recent years I've been really annoyed by The Beta Band and The Delgados splitting, I loved both of them.

thing is ofc that LP was never metal... and never will be, their "new" music will lose power... less hard, thus resulting in shit Pop music i'm afraid... but i can't say much about it... i'll be find with it as long as Mike stays at rappin' and Chester stays at screamin'...

their music in first place was a mix of Hard-Rock and Hip-Hop, softer then metal, harder then rock, combined with Mike's rapping
