Huge update time! I've just hit a total brick wall with sig making lately. Like, I just can't make anything, or end up giving up halfway through >< So I'm having a pretty slow time with photoshop lately. But, here's the stuff I have been sorta happy with.

Sora signature for a callout with B -

SOTW 102 entry. I'm quite happy with this one >_> -

Rehashed an old signature that I really liked and made this -

Tried new stuff with this one, quite like it, hate the text -

TT Banner Contest. I tried to be funny xD -

I got all inspired by these photos for the Alice in Wonderland film thing, particularly the photo of the Red Queen -

Aaand, just wanted to try and get over this photoshop-block I've had, so used my favourite Stevie picture to try and make something half-decent -

Sorry I've not been in here much to comment mate. I've been real lazy. =/

Very cute and simple. I like the simple white glowing lines covering the left of Sora.

The lighting is very well done and the darkness closing in looks great.

I love the font you used for 'Keyblade' Very nice. Though I think the opacity is a little too light.

Great work on this one.

My gosh I didn't even suspect that it was you who created this. =0 I was rather intrigued by it! The colours situated only around Voldemort and the dark background looks brilliant!

The focal point is nailed superbly here!

The font I think could have been better but still suitable and made this signature look great overall!

I like the sharpness of this one.

The colours flow beautifully together and the lighting is gorgeous. The image is well lit, the text well done and the effects are subtle but well done.

I do however, think that a border was not needed for this particular signature. I think the overall look would be better without one.

I like the vibrancy of red in this signature.

The detail on the right looks very nice and the lighting focuses more on the girl which is good considering she's the main subject of interest here.

The little sparkles in the background look cute and the font is okay but I think the opacity is once again a little too light.

LOL at this one.

The background in the centre surrounding the image looks very soft and has a nice glow about it. the buildings on either side look a bit too much in my opinion though. I think there needs to be some blending. The signature just feels a bit too full at the moment.

Nice background. Very smooth and the colours rich. Lovely lighting and the blending looks great.

Though I think that the image of the queen looks a bit too low to the bottom of the signature.

I think she needs to be moved higher so it doesn't look like she's slipping down or whatever. XD

The font used is very nice and well suited to the theme though!

Oooh I think this is my favourite of Stevie from you yet!

The colours used and the lighting is simply beautiful! A lovely shade of purple-red is apparent and looks simply stunning.

The effects in the background are gorgeousa nd the image is blended in so well!

Lovely situation of the text and the font is gorgeous.

Awesome work on this one Mark. It's simply stunning!

Thank you for the comments Kandy ^^

Here's something new. I tried to make this one different from my usual stuff -

:gasp: PERSONA 3!!!! ♥ I Love it. its awesomeness to the extreme. the effects and text are DIVINE. ♥♥♥♥

Love the Voldy one too. I voted for it :monster:

Wow I love the texture of the character in this one!

The background is simply stunning and the lighting is excellent! I love the shading on the character's face too. It's an awesome image to have chosen.

The blending is superb and I love the text. It's placed well and the font is well chosen.

Keep up the brilliant work Mark!

I prefer the colour version! But that's just me being me. XD I love colours! XD

I love how you've darkened the edges so that it makes the character stand out more.

I love the effects you have happening behind home. It looks great! Especially that blue lightening strike you have surrounding him.

The blending is done really well as always and the text is done brilliantly!

I love that line you have underlining the text and then how the text fades out a little as it goes to the right.

The image looks sharp and vibrant and looks brilliant overall! =)

This ones hot. Uv did a great job with the lighting and blending him into the c4d. I like the wire frame to the right aswell, i need to get myself some of them. Text is positioned well i like the wee faded line under it. I think a full 1px border wold would look better but i prefer all borders like that more or less.

35kv7nn.jpg

I like what u did here with the colours around him, its a great effect i think the render ruins the tag though. Around his head and fingers its really edgy feathering that away would make it look tonnes better. Also the render of voldemort has an obvious light source hitting him but the light isnt incorporated into the tag. Adding the light source would make it look far more ''real''.

5a14o.jpg

This is one i like. You make a good job of working with these old photos, there not the best of quality something which makes tag making a lot harder.
I like pretty much everything in this. The c4d and the blending with the c4d the brushing(?) to the left. The text in particular i really like those fonts are great and they go with the theme youv given the tag.
Good work =)

I'm totally obsessed with Persona 3 right now, and so I've made a Mitsuru signature. I really like it, for some reason, and it started off totally different to how it ended up xD

2och0.jpg

ooooh. I really like the Mitsuru siggie ♥ and Vegeta too?!?! YOU DID MY 2 FAVE CHARAS EVER :gasp: I prefer the colored version of the Vegeta sig. The effects around him are amazing, and something about the colors just looks great, like they were saturated or something... I love it :D

Lovely work on this one!

The character is blended in rather well with the background and the smudging around him looks great!

I like the colour theme you went for and the effects in the background look really good.

The angle of the text looks awesome and flows nicely with the signature.

Though I think a little more light is needed on the character's face. It looks a tad too dark and he's almost getting lost amongst the background.

Keep up the great work Mark!

This has a nice color tone overall. Sig is quite awesome and the text is pretty good. Clean and simple, very effective. I have to say that it could be a lot better though if you had somehow added the same color tone on her so that she doesn't stick out too much. A perfect example is this:

2eg90ms.jpg

Everything about that is quite perfect, in my opinion. From blending, to color blending, to lighting, and smooth look...it's just grand. That's probably one of the best signatures I've seen from you. I would probably change the text though since something about the font seems a bit odd...perhaps lowering the opacity would work or move the text layer below your list of other layers and see if you get better outcomes. Other than that, can't really find any fault in this.

You've been getting sooo much better, so keep it up, buddy! ;)

Update time.

SOTW entry -

Trying to do something different here -

2jtvle.jpg

Here I tried making four different signatures in one :gonk: I don't really like it though >_>

b4yskk.jpg

And, I'm getting really frustrated with photoshop, so I made a Stevie Nicks one for the hell of it, and because I like working with these old photos >_>

33mlcvn.jpg

This one looks fantastic!

I love the colours and the amazing effects you have going on in the background.

The colours look gorgeous and Zidane is blended in there rather well.

The darker sides bring the attention towards the middle more and the text looks great!

Well done on this one!

Oooh this one is rather naughty. XD

I like those effects swimming around her and the colours work beautifully with the character.

The lighting is focused on her well too.

The font is a bit ordinary. I think something a little more out there is needed for this signature.

I think this one looks rather cool. XD

The characters all look lovely and stand out in their own individual section and it looks rather excellent to be honest.

The colours are vibrant and the lighting works well.

Can't really said that I have much I don't like about it. =)

This one is beautiful.

The simplicity of it catches your attention right away, as there aren't too many effects and Stevie seems to be the only real thing to look at.

I love what you did with her image. The colouring and the effects coming off her body look great!

It's simply stunning.

The text is a bit plain but still well done. =)

Hah, Mitsuki showed me how to get Topaz clean, so I've used it to spruce up an old tag -

Before -

33mlcvn.jpg

After -

2gsk1mh.jpg

I think it looks much cooler once topaz has been applied, and I think it blends better too. Just my opinion though, please tell me if the before is better than the after :gonk:

Also, I have a new tag, that I'm quite fond of, I think it's quite different to most of my stuff, and I do like the colours, although I have the text >_> -

o52gy8.jpg

I decided to use topaz clean on that too, just to see how it would turn out xD -

2akgq36.jpg

Have to do the obligatory caution thing though, Mark...don't overdo it or the image will look a bit unreal. That being said, Topaz is a cool little filter that definitely spices up images. I just had to get the opinion out that sometimes it's better to apply it with lighter settings on other sigs.

For example...I like the second image better without Topaz because the effects aren't all simplified. I like what you did with the nice lighting effects and the smudge clouds around the stock as is because I thought it was really energetic and dynamic. Topaz seemed to have sheared that sense off a bit. =\

On the whole, since you're starting out with Topaz still, I thought it would be appropriate to toss that little caveat out now to encourage you to fiddle around with the settings a bit and see what looks great with Topaz or what looks too unreal to use Topaz for. :gonk:

But in the end if you find that this is your style, by all means have at it. :monster:

I tried working with different colours here, and using more filters. I'm aware the left hand side of the Valkyrie is a bit dodgy, and I'll look into fixing that later, but for now -

Edit, also, my entry for SOTW 106, I quite like it xD -

Don't over use the Topaz, it just makes your work look a bit messy.
I suggest cleaning around the focal a little and also around the effects.
I don't like the text that much, it just unbalances it.
The blending is okay but a bit off around.
The lighting is way off as well.
There's actually a flaw in getting your lighting right, you just have to look at the sides of the focal.

I like the color scheme. New colors? It's similar to the one you used for SoTW. xD

I like what you did with the C4D render as it gives the tag some action and a bit of shininess to it. Yeah, true, the background is a bit dodgy, but it's nothing that isn't easily solvable.

The text could use some work but I think it's fine as is. I don't think it competes with anything from the stock, which is good, but it doesn't stand out at the same time in terms of visual impact. I mean, it looks nice there with the blending color, but I feel there should be something else to it.

I like the lighting. I think you were going for the 'engulfed in diffuse light' thing and I think it looks really nice here. Nothing quite out of place.

Overall I think the dark background, as usual, brought out the drama of the tag. One of the strengths of dark backgrounds is that it gives the tag a sense of awesome depth and also gives the stock a LOT more character than if it was set in a cluttered background. I think you compose these really well and it does, to an extent, give off that kind of feeling.

That being said, to help out the depth, I think some of the areas of the C4D up top need a bit of light erasing just to give the feeling that the thing is receding into the background. Don't know if you'd prefer to do that or not as the tag looks really nice already.

:monster:

Good job, Mark.

Topaz does make this look a lot more sharp and smooth looking in some areas though I noticed that her hand on the mic in the topaz version kind of turned into liquid. :gasp:

Though the rest of it looks awesome. XD

I honestly prefer the original. I think topaz made the second one look a bit tacky/fake. Maybe tone it done a little and only apply in certain areas.

Her hair just looks a bit too perfect.

I think the topaz looks great in this signature!

Her hair looks gorgeous and because it;s already blended in so well with the background, it's makes it look more real.

The specks on the left hand side looks great and a lot more attractive in my opinion.

Topaz kind of gave the text a cool looking effect too. =)

Oh my gosh.

This is freakin' gorgeous!

The lighting and the colours make it look as though it's on fire! :gasp:

I love the clean look and the blending is gorgeous.

The text is well done and the font fits in wonderfully!

I love that red haze of light going over the right hand side of the character!

Well done!

This one looks cool, though I think the only thing that stuck out to me was the sudden cut off of the light down the middle. The black space on the left just seems too cut off.

I think that if you blended the background on the right into the darkness a bit more it would look fantastic!

Lovely effects around Jean and the lighting looks great!

You've blended her in quite well and the texture of the background looks lovely.

I would suggest maybe erasing that line that comes up from the bottom and then curves up the the top within the darker side of the signature.

It looks like it's trying to cut the signature in half.

Other than that great work as always!
