FORT SMITH, Ark. -- Police have arrested a pizza parlor manager on charges alleging he sold marijuana out of his drive-through window in Fort Smith, Ark.
Authorities said Monday that state and local investigators acting on a tip went to the Pizza Hut restaurant and found six ounces of marijuana and a set of digital scales in the manager's office.
Police said they arrested 28-year-old manager Aaron Massey on Friday on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Massey has been released on $3,500 bail.

Well thats interesting. A "smart" deal as far as stoners go, I suppose. Thoughts?

'Stoners'?

People who smoke aren't stupid as you may like to believe. I've got no problem with the sale of weed.

I can't really see the point of this.

Yes, stoners. People who smoke weed. Nowhere did I say they were stupid. Some of my friends smoke, and they're some of the smartest people I know. There isn't a point, it's just an interesting article.

People are dumb, real smart to do it so publicly where you will get caught.

Most losers out there who smoke weed always have bullcrap excuses for the reason why they do it in the first place. Fact is the reason it's never been legalized in the states is because the negatives of THC far out weigh the benefits.

Chances are he'll get probation and nothing more. Pretty sad.

And as for someone who also lives in Las Vegas, I have to hear ridiculous reasons for people doing stupid things. But ignorant people can never admit they're wrong. Talk about humble, aye?

Right. Now, smokers can have stupid REASONS for doing it, and most just make up excuses so that they can try and justify why they are in the first place.

And that isn't implying that they are stupid, or lacking in intelligence?

It's bad for your health, so is tobacco and alcohol. The reason it isn't legal is because it's perceived as this nasty bad thing, which it isn't. So it's highly unlikely that it will be legalised because politicians don't want to lose votes.

Also it's normally the people who don't smoke that are the losers, but I supposed that's their prerogative.

You're just passing it off because the simple fact other things are bad for you too? Well there is a big difference. Cigarettes and Alcohol do not contain hallucinogenic substances that destroy brain cells. Now it is proven that cigarettes and alcohol CAN cause liver, lung, and pancreatic cancers.

But cannabis has been proven not to only destroy brain cells, decrease memory, decrease motor skills, and cause lung and pancreatic cancers. THC is the chemical in cannabis that causes the euphoric sensations you feel when smoking it. Most people don't know this but cannabis leaves tend to differ in levels of THC. Low levels of THC can not make you high, but are enough to cause pain tolerant type euphorias.

As for high levels of THC, it kills brain cells, causing them to misfire and you can not heal brain cells or gain them back. Not only aside that but the chemicals most druggies put into cannabis to further strengthen its "high", are extremely toxic to the body, most find in embalming fluids.

You can pass off like "Well people drink and smoke cigarettes and they're fine, so I'll be fine." Facts are cigarettes do not always cause people to get cancer, and alcohol doesn't always give you liver dieases. But THC DOES kill brain cells, and has the same effects to the lungs, cigarettes do. So not only are you killing your lungs, you are killing your brain.

Facts are facts, and THC is not healthy for the human body.

I've never said cannabis or THC weren't bad for the body. I was pointing out that alcohol and cigarettes also have negative externalities and no positive ones.

I drink and I smoke and I'm in good health. To me the benefits of smoking and drinking are worth the damage they are doing to me. If they weren't I wouldn't be doing them.

Considering that we all die, it doesn't bother me.

Well that's a life choice, but the fact is you can't be healthy from smoking and drinking lol. It's just not possible. Your body is just as frail as every other humans. I'm not bashing ya or anything, what you do is your own business. But if I had a kid and someone came up to him saying "Oh I smoke and drink, and I'm just fine!" I would go ape shit.

Facts are facts, and you are not as in good health as you would like to believe. If you wanna die young, so be it. But please try to realize some people may interpret your habits in the way you speak of them as being, healthy, which they aren't lol.

I hope you stay well and everything mate, but facts are facts you everytime you smoke and drink you increase your heart disease risks and cancer risks. And believe me you say you're fine with it now while you're well. But when faced with the problems when they come around, you tend to regret doing these things in the first place.

But hey, if it makes you happy, good, but please don't pass off your habits as being "good" or "not unhealthy", they really are extremely dangerous for your health.

You say you drink and smoke and yet you're still in good health - according to your age on here, you're only eighteen. Of course you're going to be in good health still. Chances are that you haven't been doing your lovely habits for long. However, if you stay consistent, I'd love to see how you compare next to a clean person in, say, forty to fifty years?

Also, this piqued my curiosity. You say that the "benefits" outweigh the damage. Can you explain what benefits there actually are to drinking and smoking?

ololololol. You don't think alcohol can destroy brain cells? I have some interesting news for you: it sure can. In fact, my grandfather developed dementia due to his alcoholism.

I'd argue that alcohol is worse for your health and more dangerous than pot. You can OD on alcohol. Alcohol also really wrecks your liver. It's also a widely known fact that alcoholics are a hell of a lot less pleasant people than potheads. :neomon: And given the choice, I'd rather encounter a driver who is high than a driver who is drunk. If you're high, you're more likely to drive really slowly and not necessarily weave all over the place like a drunk driver.

And please. Let's not be naive. The reason that pot was illegalized in the United States was not because ITZ SO BADZ 4 U!! It was due to racism and political and economic reasons. Let's take a look at what the man who helped illegalize marijuana had to say about it, shall we?

"There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos, and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz, and swing, result from marijuana use. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers, and any others."

Hmmm. Interesting. That is a completely rational reason for outlawing marijuana. To be quite honest, when I was, like, fifteen I believed all the anti-pot government propaganda. Then I stepped back and took a look at it. It's just so unscientific and ridiculous. I saw one ad making a claim that using marijuana (even once!) increases your risks for mental illness. Orly? I can think of several things wrong with a declaration like that. First off, you can't scientifically measure that. And say that people who smoke pot have more mental illnesses. That doesn't necessarily mean it was the pot that caused it. It could be that those with mental illnesses are drawn to pot.

But anyway. Unless it's an every day thing, I don't think that pot smoking noticeably impacts your health. Oh no, it has chemicals in it! It might give you cancer! Please. Everything these days causes cancer. Also, depending on what scientific study you choose to believe, scientists have found no link between smoking pot and lung cancer.

Please educate yourself about the issue before you get all indignant and uppity. The government likes to push a lot of propaganda and misinformation. God knows why. If they legalized pot and put a tax on it, they'd be rolling in money.

Getting high and being drunk. Sure it's bad for me, and if I continue to do so my health will decline. Believe it or not, I am capable of predicting what the excesses will do to me in the future.

However, this isn't about me.

EDIT:

If they legalized pot and put a tax on it, they'd be rolling in money.
I'h thought about that, but it wouldn't look good for the government to be saying it's okay to smoke weed.
But they would make lots of money, also it would help to reduce crime.

Sure it can, but not as a rapid rate as THC can. THC can remain in your body for over a month, ask mixed martial artist Nick Diaz. And Alcohol does not. Far more damage comes from THC, then alcohol. But I get your point.

And I have done my research, did you know cannabis that drug dealers sell has 7 times more tar in it than a one cigarette. I've seen brains of people who smoked cannabis on a frequent basis, it looks like swiss cheese from dead brain cells.

And don't you find it a little hypocritical you tell me to do my research when I support my theories with hard evidence, not just going "everything can give you cancer". Sun can give you cancer, matter of fact at age 65+ everyone's risk for skin cancer goes to 100%. People always want to pretend nothing bad will happen to them, or compare the small levels of pesticides on fruits to high levels of toxins in weed =/.

It's not being uppity, it's being truthful. I just don't want people spreading propagandis crap that doing things like this won't kill you. Talk to a MD with a P.hD.

And to add this, racism plays zero roles in the illegalization of weed. It's as simple as basing the facts of what the drug does to you health wise, good and bad. Bad outweighing the good by a mile. I think making accusations like that is also quite outrageous to be honest. Cannabis has nothing to do with politics, it has to do with your health.

Then where did this come from?
It means that I live my life without being negeatively effected to a degree in which it seriously effects my standard of living.

Please try to actually form an arguement, rather than just quoting me and getting me to explain myself to you. As fun as it may be, it's not really productive is it dear?

Oh god. The ignorance is choking me. First off, MDs don't have PhDs, lol. K? And I can cite a bunch of scientific studies (one: Donald Tashkin, M.D., Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in Los Angeles) that found absolutely no link between cancer and smoking pot. What doctors HAVE found, actually, is that smoking pot is beneficial for those with cancer, glaucoma, and (still being investigated) Alzheimers.

Awww, are you having fun lying? Because you obviously have never seen brains from people who have smoked cannabis. First off, there is NO drug (no, not even ecstasy) that actually makes holes in your brain. Secondly, marijuana does not kill brain cells. There is actually NO scientific study that supports that claim. There is, however, a scientific study that debunks that myth. I'm lazy, so I'll just copy it:

"...Researchers found no evidence of brain abnormality in monkeys that were forced to inhale the equivalent of four to five marijuana cigarettes every day for a year. The claim that marijuana kills brain cells is based on a speculative report dating back a quarter of a century that has never been supported by any scientific study."

You have just been owned. Have a nice day and stop pretending you know what you're talking about :neomon:

Yeah I'm really pretending

http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/evidence99/marijuana/Health_1.html

Don't make this into a personal attack, honestly calling people ignorant makes you a keyboard warrior. It's really annoying.

And I would say with all today's advancements in technology, you'd think harvard MD's would know what they're talking about.

And I do know what I'm talking about, just because you quote a few things doesn't mean you infact, do. I think once again, you are being a hypocrite lol.

But won't it eventually effect your living standards? You can't just be able to smoke and drink without it having negative effects.

Did I say this? ever?
The answer is no, infact I even said it would have negative efffects:gasp:
INOERITE
I don't go around chain smoking weed and knocking back bottles of stoly every day. I smoke and drink in moderation, not to excess

Okay, that said, how much is "in moderation?" Is it based on how much you drink or smoke, or an average person?
