Any plans for Christmas? Family, friends get-together, anything?

What about Christmas shopping? Have you guys started? What would you like for Christmas, or any ideas for gifts you'd like to get for family and friends?

Get pissed, study for exams, get pissed, finish shopping next week, get more pissed.

I just really would prefer people just give me cash, if anything. I don't have anything I need- except money. 0.0

I'll probably bring my nephews to see Santa on Sunday, have a hopefully uneventful Christmas day, go out New Years Eve and spend the rest of the time studying.

Very fun!! :mokken:

Yup!

Here in the Netherlands we have 2 days of Christmas. I guess you could kinda see it like Christmas eve, but we have that too! First Christmas day (the official one everyone has) I'll be home. We're pulling out the fondue. Unsure if we'll have a tree this year, though. We have yet to put it up. Hoping we will, though, get the kittens used to it. They'll probably trash it.

Second day of Christmas, the 26th, I'll be going over to my cousin's house. We're doing a "surprise" (pronounced differently) this year. Basically what we do, is you grab a card from a hat and it has a person's name on it, usually, but considering her mom and my mom don't speak, I'll just be doing it with her and her mother, and then her and I will make something for both our mothers. My cousin and I will be making a surprise for each other. What it is you basically just think of something, let's say a... desktop. You make it out of a cardboard box (or any other material) and craft said item, then hide the gift you've bought for them in there.

We're not going all out. We've agreed to spend 5 euros on each other, and then 2.50 for our mothers. It's all in good fun, really.

I actually had a craft night for it the other day. -.- The mess. Cleaning up wasn't fun.

As far as actual gifts go, I'm not too bothered. I just hope the new year will be a lot less stressful and drama free if possible.

I have no plans for Christmas it's a bit early anyway. Last year we had loads of family round but it won't be like that this time, hopefully this year is relaxing, for me peace of mind is the best thing to have at Christmas. I need to get round to doing Christmas shopping, probably just ask people what they want there aren't many surprises in my house.

I'm not sure yet what I'm doing. I just started a new job and I'm going to be working on Boxing Day, so there's a good chance I wont get to go home for it this year. I'm working overnight on the 23rd so I've got Christmas Eve off, and if I get a later start on Boxing Day then I'll have time to be able to get back down so I'm hoping for that.

I've got a few of my presents planned, but haven't bought anything yet. I know what I'm getting my dad, nephew and my girlfriend. Just got to come up with ideas for my mum, sister and brother-in-law and then buy them all

As per usual, we'll be waking up around 5 a.m on Christmas. Kind of traditional thing by now. Breakfast at in-laws, then about three hours drive up north to visit my family. Since Christmas falls on a Thursday, that means no work for me the next day, so I'm pretty stoked about that. Depending whether my husband works that Friday, we might end up sleeping over at my aunt's.

I started my Christmas shopping last week. Knocked out per family gifts (photo frames, all we can really afford for them since I have a big family, and then there's my husband's side too). Few of my cousins are done as well, so hopefully I'll have everyone done by next week.

For my kids, their main present this year will be musical instruments. My son loves to jam on my guitar singing 'Let it Go' so I'm gonna have him let go of my guitar and give him his own little one. I've already purchased it last week, and it's not a toy either, but it does come with nylon strings so it should be much easier for his little fingers. For my daughter, she's a huge fan of Lindsey Stirling, so today I ordered her a 4/4 full-size violin (Cecilio CVN-300) on Amazon, along with Jade rosin and finger guide. Comes with a case, tuner, guide book, shoulder rest, two bows, and D'Addario strings, so I'm super excited for her. That's probably the biggest present she's ever received from us. My husband and I both wanna learn how to play the violin too, and after reading (and watching) reviews for the past couple weeks, this is the best deal for a beginner violin. Didn't wanna get something around $50-$70 only to have to upgrade accessories that may end up costing us more anyway. I'd like to really encourage my kids to play a musical instrument. I wish my parents really pushed for it when I was younger!

If it's anything like the past 21 years of my life it'll be my aunt and other cousins coming over to my mother's house in New Jersey. It'll be my mother, stepfather and aunt jointly cooking up a huge feast of both traditional and American foods; all of us exchanging gifts on Christmas morning bright and early with the backdrop of Christmas carols playing loudly. It'll hopefully be stress-free and just a whole bunch of merriment, laughter and love.

This year Christmas will be very different for me. :sad3:

Every Christmas I spend it with my family.. but because my family and my boyfriend don't get along anymore, I probably won't be seeing them. (well plus, they're pissed off at me)

My boyfriend grew up as a Jehovah Witness, so he never celebrated Christmas. Now that he's older he isn't under the religion anymore but he still isn't in the spirit like I am.

He promised me that he'd buy us a little tree and put up decorations because it's what I want; however I don't know if we'll have money to buy each other/family gifts.

You can say, I'm very sad about this years Christmas...

For the first time in several years, my wife and I won't be spending Christmas together. /cue sad violin. She'll be visiting her grandmother and other family in Texas, while I'll be up with my father-in-law and brother-in-law for Christmas. So yeah, bachelor Christmas. Should be fun.

On Christmas Eve we always go get a hot chocolate and go see lights in this neighborhood near us. And of course we watch the Christmas movies. How can you not? xD
We always try and get together on Christmas Day around 12pm or so, and we wind up spending damn near all day together :)

My birthday also happens to be on the 27th, so its a pretty exciting time for me and the family xD

going out for xmas dinner and thats about it lol. think my mate is coming round boxing day as he is going seeing his family and his mum is a massive (insert any rude word you want here) and I never want to lay eyes on her again. If she doesnt come round then i am eating, and gaming all day lol. The kid is off on holiday for the week so i am totally spending this christmas sat on my arse in my pjs doing not an awful lol
