Playing the older Final Fantasies

The early Final Fantasies were great.. Back in the days where Final Fantasys had more fantasy, humour, great characters and magic.

Of particular note of awesomeness...

FF4... You get to travel to the moon in the technology-infused skeleton of a whale!

FF5... Great job system and you meet Gilgamesh, a great recurring character with an awesome theme tune.

FF6... You get to fight a talking purple octopus called Ultros! Also boasts, in my opinion, the greatest FF villain of all time, Kefka.
 
I own FFI for the PSP, and I also own FFOrigins for the PS1, so today I actually started playing FFII again. Like mentioned earlier, it is hard, and the "leveling" system is weird, as there are no levels. I enjoy it though because it makes it more realistic. The more your character gets hit, the more his/her endurance will raise or their HP will go up. Attack with a weapon 100 times and that skill will increase. So on and so forth. The game is tricky because if you do walk too far to the north or west in the beginning of the game, you will get dismantled. But I love it.
 
wel i belive tht if you like ff for how good it is and not just how bad graphics there is, if you love playing the games you will enjoy playing them. i went bk from finishes 12 to play 6 and i loved it cause i forgot the story line and i found things differnt and good to play
