Pokémon: Ashes of Dreams [OOC]

She could. You could even bring her into the RP proper if you were of a mind to~
...and I keep getting those two mixed up :rage:

I'm guessing you'll bring the Bell up in the meeting? Tobias would send you after that, since it's your discovery, and I'll have him order you to track down Suicune as well. The blockade could be prompted by your reporting Rose's suspicions after your conversation, which should take place when the starter trainers are en route to the city.

Martel I'll have my commander sit back for you if thats cool?
I'll let the other commander's go after the dogs.

lol So Shinya/Erza, I'm thinking maybe our Poke's go to frolic together and bring the three of us together, considering how else are 3 shy characters going to bond and group up? :monster:

Lol like a 'fated encounter' type scenario?

SO we start off apart but it's the pokemon that bring us together?

I like that idea lol it'll be be easier to start off like that for my character.

Hey Martel! What's all of the older people doing, since it'll be a pain for those of us near the end of the journey to just go home and wait.

So, what, you gonna give us special assignments?

Dark Paladin: You're going to need to edit your last RP post. The only commander that knows Tobias's true identity is Thoma, and even he never addresses Lord Invictus by his real name.

Yeah exactly. I'm gonna go ahead and post that charmander's dragging her off to that same corner, and then Erza can follow suit if he wants. Poor shy kids :sad3:

Was so hard trying to figure out what to write for seth :gonk:

Elite Four Member #2 – The Bug Brigadier.

Name: Grover Klein

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Hometown: Bleu City

Appearance:
normal_1e8c757bba985e2f39d7b66655cacc84.jpg

Personality: Grover is very spontaneous and brash, unlike his calm sister, Tryllia. Passionate, powerful, and outspoken, Grover rarely lets an issue he finds unjustified get out from under his radar. With a heated temper, he is relentless when it comes to arguments, and even more relentless when it comes to battles. However, he shares with his sister the compassion for Pokemon – even if he doesn’t always pick the more rational choices in battle, he still will never endanger his Pokemon. As such, he is much more active and tough when it comes to seeing Trainers who mistreat their Pokemon. He is also rarely scared of any Pokemon deemed “scary” – he actually loves Ghost and Bug Pokemon. He doesn’t go to the extent of calling them “cute”, like his sister…except, well, maybe with Bugs…

Bio: Born in a small farmhouse on the outskirts of Bleu City, Grover had nothing more to do with his days then learn and watch Pokemon. Although, that isn’t a surprise – he was a Gym Leader’s child. As parents both being the Leaders of the Bleu City Gym, he had grown an early love for Pokemon. His parents were what were considered Mediums – or, well, lovers/communicators of Ghost types. Most of his childhood was spent inside Bleu Forest communicating or helping out the various Ghost Pokemon, as well as any other types that needed help. While his sister’s love fell more with Ghosts, his moved more towards the Bug Pokemon inside of Bleu Forest.

On one such outing, he came across a Caterpie collapsed next to a tree. Weak from hunger, Grover assumed, he carried the Caterpie back to his farm house to attempt to nurse it back to health. With the combined effort of the Pokemon food that his parents kept large stocks of and his determination, the Caterpie became fully healthy. When Grover tried to release it back into the forest, it refused to leave his side – and thus marked Grover’s first communion with Bug types.

It soon became obvious that Grover would not carry on the Klein family name and succeed as the Gym Leader. While his sister was still young, and he was 14, he got into an argument with his parents. They disliked his growing interest in other types, and asserted that he had to be the one to take over the Gym. Since they were reaching the age to retire, it pushed even more of their buttons when Grover refused – and even worse when he told them he was leaving home to go travel the countryside. With his trusty Caterpie at his side, despite his parent’s ill consent, he set out from Bleu City.

Over the years to come, Grover became a master of Bug Pokemon. People underestimated him, and assumed that he was weak due to his type specialization. However, his relentless battle style and his strong bonds with his Pokemon left few able to overcome the severity of his assaults in battle, leaving him the victor. His name spread across the region as the man who proved Bug types weren’t useless – which, although he appreciated the compliment, pissed him off to know people thought of his companions in such a way – and continued his climb to power. Many considered him the “Bug Brigadier”, likening him to a General who rallies the weak troops into a strong, cohesive unit.
With time, he became a member of the Elite Four – mostly based on his outstanding skill with Bug Pokemon. Although not the strongest trainer in the Elite Four spectrum, he can still hold his own. And if any trainer insults his Bug Pokemon teammates, he shows them no mercy.

Elite Four Type Specialization: Bug

Pokemon species: Butterfree
Nickname: Agent Blue

Gender: Male

Level: 74

Ability: Compound Eyes

Personality: Sharing the exact same personality as his Trainer, this Butterfree is like the “general” of the six Pokemon. When they’re out training, it rallies the troops and keeps them in top form. Relentless, strong, and courageous, it breaks the mold of most Bug types. If you think this little butterfly is going to shy away from battle, you should think twice.

Brief history: The little Caterpie that Grover started out with has blossomed into a full-blown Butterfree.

Additional moves: TM29 – Psychic, TM85- Dream Eater, TM19 – Giga Drain, TM30 – Shadow Ball
Pokemon species: Scizor
Nickname: Agent Steel

Gender: Male

Level: 73

Ability: Technician

Personality: Very calm and serene in battle, he doesn’t just rush at his opponent in a fury. Instead, he circles the battlefield and makes tactical decisions based on environment. As such, he rarely shows any emotion and, when out and about roaming with Grover, is very solemn.

Brief history: Grover’s second pokemon found when he was a Scyther. He was caught normally while Grover was making his way through Bleu Forest at the beginning of his adventure.

Additional moves: HM04 – Strength, TM68 – Giga Impact, Move Tutor – Bug Bite, TM40 – Aerial Ace

Pokemon species: Forretress
Nickname: Agent Shield

Gender: Female

Level: 73

Ability: Sturdy

Personality: The “Mom” of the group, Grover’s Forretress is very overprotective of everyone, including Grover himself. As such, in battle she goes for swift and powerful strikes to try and incapacitate the enemy before it has a chance to harm herself or anyone else on the battlefield. Outside of battle, she tends to stay close and be very rude to anyone that she doesn’t know, Pokemon or human.

Additional moves: TM06 - Toxic, TM09 - Venoshock, TM91 - Flash Cannon, Move Tutor - Gravity

Pokemon species:
Armaldo

Nickname: Agent Stone

Gender: Male

Level: 72

Ability: Battle Armour

Personality: Despite its size and appearance, this Armaldo is very shy and reserved. It rarely likes to be seen outside of battle, and in battle can get flustered if watched by numerous people. Over the years he has become able to control himself during Elite Four challenges (since most times they are televised or watched by numerous people) but it takes a large amount of willpower. He usually tries to keep the opponent away from him. Outside of battle, he usually hides behind Grover – which is extremely ironic.

Additional moves: TM26 – Earthquake, TM37 – Sandstorm, TM71 – Stone Edge, TM91 – Flash Cannon
Pokemon species:
Ninjask

Nickname: Agent Smokescreen

Gender: Female

Level: 71

Ability: Speed Boost

Personality: Ninjask is very jittery and energetic, and rarely sits still. This works in battle since she becomes a hard target to hit – not counting her ability which constantly increases her speed the longer the battle wears on. She never can focus on one thing for a prolonged period of time, and often gets distracted in battle until Grover brings her back to reality.

Additional moves: TM30 – Shadow Ball, TM70 – Flash, Move Tutor – Ominous Wind, TM51 - Roost
Pokemon species:
Heracross

Nickname: Agent Horn

Gender: Female

Level: 70

Ability: Guts

Personality: The most balanced of the group, this Heracross doesn’t really have a large personality. It doesn’t bend towards any extremity of the emotional spectrum. However, she can get sad very easily at the slightest thing, which sometimes creates problems in battle. In the past, opponents have resorted to yelling insults at her (if they know of her personality) to try and weaker her morale. This, however, severely pisses off Grover..who will then relentlessly destroy his opponents until he is satisfied.

Additional moves: Move Tutor – Vacuum Wave, Move Tutor – Iron Defense, TM08 – Bulk Up, TM78 - Bulldoze

Well this is interesting...

Tell ya what, I'll join whichever party who faces me last. Gives me a chance to train my Pokemon up a bit.

A good question...did you have something in mind? At the pace this RP is going to go (if the massive post-a-thon that occured prior to that rant in here is any indicator) by that point people may be at the first gym. I can ban people from going any further than Route 1 until you get back though, which would allow you to catch up?
I don't want to hold everyone back on my account or anything.

EDIT: I was thinking about making Sammie get a little "lost" in the tall grass for a while along Route 1.

MM, you need to change that Volcarona, I said in an earlier post I wasn't going to allow that to be apped in the RP. Otherwise, it's looking good. Also, bear in mind you can only have two rare Pokemon, so be sure to pick something normal in exchange, since you already have Scizor and Heracross~

Addle: That could work. I'll keep everyone on Route 1 until you get back, though. If people get too far ahead, it'll be difficult to catch up, and I'd prefer to have people wait in the same area, rather than a Gym Badge ahead.

Also, Rose won't be giving Gym Leaders specific tasks and such until she's discovered Team Sol's involvement in world events. She's not exactly the type to give orders, especially when there is no reason to. If you want your Gym Leaders to get involved with Team Sol's Commanders when they're trying to catch Legendary Dogs though, that may give you something to do until I'm ready to have her take a more active involvement in things.

*shrug* Eh, Nida'll do that. He won't stand for being cooped up at home.

So, Nida shall be exploring. He'll encounter you guys every once and a while as you travel. Make sure to say hi!

Chan, I liked that idea too, just thought I'd get a post up so things can carry on moving forwards.

I'll go after Entei I think, fits in fairly well with the pokémon my Commander is already using.

Oh, you did? I didn't know you said we weren't allowed to app Volcarona. xD I didn't see it in the forbidden Pokemon so I assumed we were allowed to use it. :ness: Sorry. I may be changing around my team a bit then, since I need a Bug Pokemon that can fly...and Volcarona was the only one that could fly from what I saw. :/

I'm not sure I'm going to be able to make anymore posts after this one, so if I can't, could someone else from my group make a reference in their post to my character leaving the lab with them when the time comes? Once you guys get into the tall grass, you could sort of lose sight of her or something? XD
