Pokémon: Ashes of Dreams [RP]

Seth looked over at the trainer that wanted to battle him, then looked back to his companions, then to Snivy.

"U-umm... On second thought, considering we're pressed for time... i'll skip the battle and we'll have to meet some other day... let's go.." He said softly, with a gentle smile on his face.

Seth looked over at the trainers one last time, before walking out the front sliding doors, together with his new companions, into a brand new world, with his dreams to become a Pokemon Champion, and to discover his brothers passions.

"Ok then, looks like it's time to head off."

Looking up from his Chikorita he noticed that Seth had started heading out of the doors already, and realised what this meant.

"Quickly Chikorita, it's time for us to leave, we're going to become Champions!"

And with that, Will turned to face the doors hitched his bag up onto his shoulders and chased the other member of his new little group out of the automatic doors.

"Hey wait up! Where are we planning on going first?" He had sort of assumed that route one would be a good place to start since there were all sorts of pokémon there, something for everyone really, and it was a good way to start heading towards both the first town on their long journey. But more importantly, it also lead him closer to the first gym...

Rena released her hold on Charmander to look up in time and catch the boys leaving the lab. It was a relief though that Seth decided about putting the battle off for now, she wasn’t sure how much longer she could just stand around like that.

Doing a once over her equipment; Pokedex, check, Pokeballs, check, Pokegear, check, Charmander, check.. She got to her feet and hurried after them through the large doors.

As soon as they got outside, there were a few Pokebattles going on… one among other trainers, and one coming to a close between Champion and Gym Leaders. She stopped to take it all in. It was almost intoxicating; the swift breeze caused by quick attacks and tackles, the dust kicked up as Pokemon crashed into the ground from a missed target, the determination on the trainers’ faces…

And yet she felt nothing.

Battling like that wasn’t for her. She glanced down to Charmander who no doubt would make an avid companion along her journey, and surely the two would be engrossed in battle when trying to catch a Pokemon or two… but to battle like that and make sport of it, it wasn’t for them.

She looked head and noticed the two boys were already close to the edge of Amber Town, waiting at the start of the Route for the three of them to start together. She quickstepped ahead, eager to meet them and start their journey.

"Oh no!!" Cameron gasped "Reggie, becareful!!" but it was too late, Reggie put one foot down into the slippery mud as he charged at Pip and he tripped. He was running so fast that instead of falling on the spot he went tumbling, and tumbling, and tumbling until he smacked his head into a tree.

"Di-ile...." the pokemon groaned. His eyes almost looking as though they were swirling...like you'd see in a cartoon.

"Reggie?" Cameron called from a distance. But it was over, the Totodile fell backwards in defeat. Cameron ran over to him and picked him up. "Oh Reggie..." she smiled "I'm sorry, we'll train harder" She then looked to Stephan. "Well Done!" She put her hand out and shaked the boys "Next time you wont win so easily."

"Well anyway, I need to get a potion to heal him so he is ready to go out into the world with us. Do you want to round up Faythe and Sammie?" Cameron gave a big smile and walked off towards the pokemart. But when no one was looking that big grin turned into a frown and a few sniffles. She knew she'd be no good at pokemon battles.

"Little reggie fought like a champion already" Faythe said having stood and watched their battle carefully, "and piplup was amazing" she added with a giggle. She looked to chimchar who was sat on her right shoulder now "I dont think that we couldve lasted that long against a water type pokemon" She said thoughtfully "Looks like we wil have to train hard eh Blaize?" she said to her chimchar who replied with a determined sounding "Char"

"Looks like everyones heading off on their own adventure" Faythe said stretching "I think we should too but i have to say bye to my mum" she thought aloud "That is if you guys want me to travel with you?"

Seth stood at the edge of town, waiting for Rena, thinking of how by the end of his journey, that he will be able to challenge the pokemon league and eventually, Rose: The Pokemon Champion.

He then looked ahead, with Snivy on his shoulder and waved at Rena with a smile on his face.

"We're over here!" Seth shouted, eager to set foot into the tall grass ahead, hoping to catch his first new pokemon, and have his first real battle.

as Totodile slipped on the mud and rocketed into a tree Stephen looked amazed "wow, that actually worked" he muttered to himself, amazed at what had just happened, and more amazed by the Totodile unable to get up, he looked to his piplup who's body was covered in wet mud and giggled to himself as the small penguin glared at him "Sorry pip, you look adorable covered in mud" Stephen told him as the piplups glare turned into a smile, and it released a loud "pipluuuuuup"

Stephen crouched down hugged the piplup, making him muddy to "ahhh darn it" Stephen muttered smirking. looking to Cameron as she went to find a potion "you did well Cameron" Stephen shouted after her before looking to Faythe "do you have any idea where Sammie is?" he shouted to her

As Shace stared off into the open water and the big sky on route one, he heard voices from somewhere, he looked and saw small kids from Amber town.
'That time of year huh...new pokemon trainer's...' Shace wondered how many of them would be against Team Sol when the time arrived..
Shace continued to sit down, as the voices were getting closer and closer. Shace whistled quietly for Arcanine and waited for Arcanine to return to him.

[OOC: Drained at the moment, and was not aware it was my turn to post. Will set events in motion for Rose and whoever is going with her next post I make. Sorry for the slight delay. xD]

Rose nodded to herself in satisfaction as Dragonite suddenly plummeted, a green aura telling her that Gallade was moving as well. An aerial assault. Not a bad plan. However, they hadn't really thought it through, and had revealed their positions in executing it. That would cost them the match.

"Alright, time to wrap this up. Empoleon, use Blizzard on Dragonite! Scizor, use Feint on Gallade, and follow it up with Giga Impact!"

Empoleon shot out of the mists to her right, unleashing it's attack directly in Dragonite's flight path, giving it no time to stop and pull-up. Meanwhile, the green light of Gallade's Protect flickered and then went out, as Scizor smashed into it, following the falling Pokemon down cloaked in waves of pink-tinged orange energy that briefly cast an eerie light over the scene before impact. The detonation that followed was thunderous, winds sweeping away the mists. It did not last, however.

Unsurprisingly, both of her opponent's Pokemon were out cold. Her Empoleon was looking slightly exhausted, however - it had taken the severest beating from the opening salvos. Blocking with Steel Wing could only negate so much damage. Scizor, however, looked absolutely fine. Rose allowed her Pokemon to savour their triumph for a moment, and then recalled them, replacing their Pokeballs on her belt.

"Not bad, boys. It was a good plan, but you didn't really think it through. Although considering those two weren't your Pokemon, and this was your first double battle, you did a pretty good job! I was going easy on you, though." she winked, and then started as the Pokegear in her back pocket began to ring. Frowning - she could have sworn she had turned the things off - she pulled it out, flipping it open, waving apologetically at them, "Sorry, duty calls. It was fun, though - here's hoping we meet in battle again!"

Orion groaned as Dragonite was blasted and hit the ground. Damnit, he had thought it would work! Then his disappointment disappeared as he rushed over to Dragonite, dropping the pokeball in the process.

Nida chuckled as Orion kneeled down next to Dragonite, making sure he wasn't seriously injured, and walked over, picking up the pokeball. Nida returned the pokemon, catching Orion's attention. Nida spoke up.

"The winner is Rose! Good job to the two of you though. It was very nice for your first double battle, and with pokemon that weren't yours. I would continue to congratulate you, but you have big enough egos as is."

Then Nida, laughing, skipped back a step as Orion swung at him. Nida shook his head.

"Now now, then, Orion, you need to be nice to your elders. Besides, I think you should get better acquainted with your traveling partners, no?"

Orion, muttering under his breath about how Nida wasn't that much older then him, walked over to Robert, Fury bouncing on his head. Orion tilted his head at Robert.

"We gave it our best shot. Rose isn't the champion for nothing, I guess. You want to travel together with me? It might be easier since we've already fought together."

Robert & Simon Masters

"Gallade, are you alright?" Robert said as he ran up to the fainted psychic warrior. Gallade sat himself up and gave a nod to Robert's question before then standing himself back up and teleporting to Simon's side.

"Good job Gallade, you did everything Robert asked of you." Simon spoke to his psychic companion. Simon then headed over to his little brother and placed a hand upon the boy's shoulder. "Not a bad start. However, you're going to need to develop your own style if you're going to beat me or the champion at our best. Other than that, you did very well for your first real tag-team battle." Simon spoke. "Now then, while our champion's taking her phone call, why don't you go and talk to Jennifer and I'll head back inside and see what I can find concerning the Soul Dew." Simon spoke before he walked back into the lab.

Robert gave a nod to his brother's words. "I will. And next time you and I battle, I'll be the one victorious." Robert jested to his brother. He then turned and headed over to Jennifer. "So, are you getting along with your new friend?" he asked with a smile, referring to her Bulbasaur. He then looked at Orion. "Sure. Why don't the three of us travel together?" Robert suggested.

Cameron Wandered about the pokemart, it was only a few blocks away from the lab. It would only take her a second to buy a few potions.
She was really down about the battle... she also wondered if maybe Reggie didn't like her very much and didn't want to fight for her?

Sighing she grabbed 5 Potions, two for herself, and one for each of her new friends.
Five minutes later she was back with the others. "Hey guys" She said with her usual smile. "Seeing as we're going to be traveling buddies now, I uhm... I bought you all something!" She pulled out the potions from her satchel and handed one to Stephen and one to Faythe. "I have one for Sammie too! I'll give it to her when I see her..." Cam had no idea where that eccentric girl had run off to.

She then released Totodile from his little orbed home and knelt down besides him "Here... this will make you feel better" she said to her beat up little friend. She then proceeded to spray the medicine on him.
Straight away Reggie looked healthy.

"Dile, Dile!!" He cheered.

"Haha, you look great!"
The girl said, before standing up and looking to her friends. "So what now?" she grinned. "Are we going to start our adventure now?"

Faythe had been wandering absent-mindedly and only really snapped out of it when cameron came back from the mart. "Thanks cam" Faythe said testing the waters with the nicknames she liked giving people, as cameron passed her a potion. "Ill be right back then im all set" Faythe said running into her house to tell her mum the good news. Several minutes later she came beck out with her bag and her hat. and she was sporting some wicked new running shoes "Well im all ready if you guys are, poke-buddies" she laughed slightly, a cheery smile on her face and joy in her eyes, finally she had friends and she was going to go on an adventure

Stephen smiled and accepted the potion from Cameron "I'll return the favour someday" he informed her with a smile, it was at this point that Faythe materialized out of nowhere "WOAH" Stephen announced flinching back a bit "you should focus on dark and ghost pokemon Faythe, your like a damn ninja" he jested before crouching down to Piplups level "hey lil buddy" he spokke gently "were probably going to roll out of here soon, do yo want to ride on my head or in your dive ball?" Stephen asked with a smile.

the little piplup thought for a moment and then burst out with a "PIPLUUUUUUP" Before climbing atop Stephens shoulder and staying there "I thought you might say that" Stephen joked as he slid the Dive ball into the Pouch he was going to use for his full pokeballs.

Looking to Cameron and then Faythe "so anyone have any idea where Sammie is?" he asked before his eagerness caught hold of him "And are we going to wait for her or have her catch up to us?" he asked trying to sound as polite as possible, a "Lup" comming from his shoulder showing piplup agreeing with his new trainer.

Faythe listened to what stephen had to say and said "Dark and ghost type... you sure? dont the ninjas usually have poison pokemon?" she thought more carefully "And maybe your right maybe i should go for them i mean i always did like the look of houndoom" When the other two mentioned sammie Faythe looked around too, "She was here a minute ago, does that mean shes ran off ahead of us or gone home?" she said "Its up to you guys if we wait for her or not im sure blaize doesnt mind as long as he sits on my hat right boy?" "CHAR!" came the ecstatic shout form the fire chimp

Thoughts raced through Will's mind. I can't belive it, I'm finally heading off on my own pokemon adventure. I mean I'm ACTUALLY going to go out into the world, capture pokémon and challenge the gyms, and maybe even the Elite Four.

Will looked up, and noticed that the other two had were also prepared to head along route one.

Barely able to contain his excitement, Will looked at the other two in turn. "Let's go already! Come on guys, we've been waiting for this day for years. Let's get catching!"

Without waiting for a reply from either of the others, Will headed off down route one, holding his bag by one of it's straps to make sure it didn't fall off his back. He was ready to start building a team to challenge the Elite four, and he had only just begun.

"Talk to me, Emmy." Rose said, pressing the Pokegear to her ear with one hand, absently twirling the green lock of her hair with the other. Emerald - or Emmy, as Rose referred to her - was a friend she had made only recently; a researcher who spent much of her time up at Mistheld Loch, studying the Pokemon species that lived up there. She usually called once or twice a week, but never this early in the morning: Emmy was a very heavy sleeper.

"Rose, you need to get up here, NOW. The entire Loch is frozen over!" her voice came through, buzzing with static, torn between excitement and anxiety.

She frowned. "Frozen over? At this time of year? How?"

"I have absolutely no idea, but it's getting pretty crazy up here; the temperature has dropped seven degrees in the last half hour, and I keep hearing these unearthly cries. Whatever is making them is big, and I've never seen its like before."

"I'll be there as quick as I can; half an hour, max. Just don't do anything reckless." Rose flipped her Pokegear shut, pulling out another Pokeball as she did so, waving across to Nida, "Nida! You up for a road trip? We've got something of a mystery on our hands - could be fun. Simon, can you hold down the fort until we get back? It shouldn't be any longer than a couple of days: the notes that will interest you should be on the second bookshelf, closest to my desk."

She threw the Pokeball, releasing her Skarmory, climbing on it's back before it had even finished flexing it's wings, "Have fun on your trip, Jenny! Give me a call if you need me."

She tapped Skarmory lightly with her feet, grasping it's neck with both arms as it rose into the air, "Mistheld Loch, Skarmory, as fast as you can manage!"

Jennifer watched her sister go, her face an emotionless mask. So much for a long, heartfelt goodbye. Although that call had evidently been important; she hadn't seen her sister so excited in months. Something was happening somewhere, and she was more than a little irritated that she hadn't been invited to go along; she knew just as much, if not more, about Pokemon as her sister did. She'd spent hours studying and, really, she had little interest in obtaining Gym Badges. She should be off exploring with her sister, not travelling around with two teenage boys trying to become something she could never hope to become. It was more than a little depressing.

Still, she might as well make the best of it. "I suppose." she said finally, in answer to Robert's question, realising she had left him hanging for almost a minute, slightly annoyed with herself for spacing out. She sighed, pocketing her Pokedex.

Cameron jumped up with Joy!! Finally they were leaving on their journey... "Hmmm Sammie...? Well we can always hang around route one and catch some pokemon and meet her there? She'll have to pass by anyway!" She said as she side stepped closer to the town exit, hoping the others would follow.

Totodile ran after her seemingly excited to start their journey too.
Cameron wondered what pokemon she'd catch first!! She didn't even know what pokemon she'd find this early in her journey!!

She finally reached the exit and looked back at her friends "C'mon guys!!" she said waving her hand. "Lets go!"

Faythe listened to camerons idea and it sounded like fun, i mean come on why not go and start catching pokemon and cameron was right sammie would have to turn up there at some point right? its the only way out of here She turned to see Cameron waving them away to the first route, she turned to stephen with a big smirk on her cheerful face "Last one theres a rotten poke-egg steve!" Faythe joked as she ran to catch up to cameron

Small traces of sunlight penetrated the canopy of the forest, yet faltered as it reached the ground. The darkness of Bleu Forest, although alarming for people not used to it, was relaxing – not at all the menacing nature that many people make it out to be. Ghost Pokemon played and chased each other throughout the dense trees, as bugs made their homes high in the branches. It was a living environment, a sanctuary for these Pokemon. Well, this was at least the way Tryllia Klein saw it.

A flash of red and blue sparked and dashed across the purple and black background of the forest, in complete contrast to it. It jumped everywhere, back and forth, even running into a stray Gastly that wandered by (which didn’t make it happy). Pausing to apologize, it then continued to dash between trees before stopping in front of a lone woman who was sitting in down on the forest floor.

“You should really slow down, SpookSpark. You’re going to wear yourself out.”

The Rotom simply smiled in response before dashing straight into her arms, nestling itself into a comfortable position. Smirking ever so slightly, she returned her attention back to the forest.

“Where is he…? He said he’d meet me here hours ago.” She through. This wasn’t like Grover. Grover always kept his promises. And it wasn’t like she was in a different place in the forest – he knew the forest, and he knew how to get to the tree. The tree was marked by them as kids. Maybe something happened to him? Taking out her Pokegear, the only option she had was to call someone who sees him constantly. Scrolling through, she only had one number – Rose, The Champion. Pressing the call button, she’d hope she would have information on her brother.
