Because Ayu asked about mentioning South Park in the movies thread, I made this one for TV shows ^_^

I don't watch a lot of TV, but there are a few for me.

Which popular TV shows do you not care for? And no flaming anyone with a different opinion than you. We all have different tastes ^_^ And the shows can be current or from the past.

Family Guy: Ok, I liked it's first 3-4 seasons, but I feel that the show has gone way down hill. It's now a bunch of random flashbacks and no real story. I preferred Stewie when he was evil and I feel that the show has gotten to political. And not in a good way. Seth McFarlan just comes across as very angry in the episodes and his political statements are just ridiculous and desparate.

Any medical show. My friends watch all of these but I find them boring.

Robot Chicken. Sometimes it's funny, but other times I find it disturbing and a little gross.

Aw, I still like Family guy a little, although I will agree that it's getting worse. Stewie having Brian clean his diaper out when they were stuck in that bank was just gross.

SOUTH PARK! I just don't get it. It makes no sense at all. It's not funny, it looks cheap. I remember my cousin and uncle talking about an episode where Oprah's vagina had a gun. How is that funny? It makes no sense at all.

Medical shows don't appeal to me.

Vampire Diary- Same thing as Twilight. Lay off the vampires for a while. Soon there will be a show about vampire housewifes who turned when they were over 50.

I agree on the medical dramas and Robot Chicken--the former just doesn't seem interesting to me at all, since there's a lot of romance and whatnot, and the latter is sometimes just outright gross for the sake of shock value. Although at one point they did do an FFVII spoof about the characters working at a fast food place, and that was funny.

Another big one for me is crime dramas, like CSI, NCIS, etc. Not only do I find them boring and unappealing, but I think they're disturbingly cold and detached. Here there are all these victims getting ravaged and destroyed in violent ways, and all the detectives/lab analysts etc. can do is crack sarcastic self-satisfied jokes at each other and flirt with each other >_> I mean seriously, some people have just lost their lives, and we're supposed to feel empathetic towards these detective characters who don't act like they give a shit about it? That's completely wrong, they're almost as bad as the killers themselves :mokken: I wish these shows would just get unpopular and get cancelled for good.

Also, things like Desperate Housewives which seem like they glamorize the idea of being devious and dishonest :mokken: And pretty much any comedy on ABC, for some reason the type of humor they produce just doesn't do anything for me, or I simply don't get what's funny about it.

Ahhhh Rydia aren't you on such a roll today.

JERSEY SHORE kills me. Can't believe I'm the first to mention that. I'm not even Italian and I feel ashamed to say that I'm Italian. That show is so immoral and raunchy.

How I Met Your Mother. My bestfriend loves the show, and several times a conversation we have, she keeps bringing it up and saying how hilarious it is. I remember one day we were having a bonding day with my ex, and watched nearly a whole season in the evening.. did not care for it. :mokken:

Umm, previously mentioned South Park, Robot Chicken and to an extent, Family Guy. I actually enjoy some of the middle to later seasons and think some of the randomness is hilarious... the really early stuff is awful though.

Gossip Girl/90201/any contemporary "teen show", and those shows like NCIS/CSI.
The teen shows nowadays are jam-packed with sexual content and, in my honest opinion, have less substance than the teen shows before (Dawson's Creek, Laguna Beach, etc.). Although One Tree Hill was pretty sweet.

As for the shows like NCIS/CSI/crime shows, the topic being tackled on (crime) caters to my interest, but I find the shows themselves too boring to watch.

I can understand this, and I certainly wouldn't want what I see on crime shows to be what happens in real life, but for dramas like this if they didn't try to add a little bit of humour, attitude or badassery then nobody would watch them. It's very hard to try and keep things real and keep the audience entertained, because reality is never as interesting.

As for shows I hate? I guess anything set in a school / high school environment. I just can't stand it. I can't even give many examples, as it is very common. Even if not actually set in a school, I dislike shows which have teenage students leave school one day and then end up caught up in whatever big thing is going down.

I wouldn't say that I hate very much, but I've certainly not really had much interest for shows such as South Park. I've also had no interest for shows such as X-Factor. I really dislike the idea, and the form of music that they believe is awesome on that show.

Ultimately, if I don't like the look of something then I don't watch it. That's probably why I'm struggling to think of many shows which I dislike.

It's because it's targeted at a younger audience :wacky:

No idea about Vegas or New York, but Miami couldn't be more victim-focused if it tried.

I've never liked Lost, South Park, 24, O.C., or anything like it, for that matter.

Lost. Although it was only buzz-worthy for one series, I never got into it at all. I watched one episode, thought it was utterly shit, and never bothered with it again. Ditto Heroes.

Gossip Girl is another one, people rave about it, and I just don't see the appeal.

Although, I love a lot of the shows others have mentioned, like Family Guy, South Park, Desperate Housewives, SATC and Glee :lew:

Friends. Almost everyone I know loves it and I think it's garbage. Saying "oh my god" is not a funny line.

IMO, people care more about the characters than anything else, which is why the whole Ross/Rachel relationship and things like that was so popular with the audience. I mean, all the situations in the show... if they happened in real life or some other groups of actors did it, no one would laugh. It's just because it's Rachel and Chandler etc.

Look what happened to Joey. Epic fail when he had his own show.

A lot of my friends like the show Wizards of Waverly Place. I tried it out hoping that it would be like the old Disney Channel. The show was way too hyper for me. I don't find the humor funny and the main character, Alex, just makes me want to punch someone. People say that makes her more realistic, but I tend to stay away from people like her in real life.

Ah Glee was the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread. >.<

Everyone I know is all like, 'Glee this Glee that.'

I saw one episode at a friends (as I don't have T.V hooked up at home simply because I don't have the time for it) and I was like, 'Yeah-no.' :mark:

Gossip Girl.

It is just a rip of The O.C. The O.C. can never be replaced with such rubbish I tell you!

The guys in it aren't even hot! Who the hell decided to cast them?

Waste of time in my opinion.

Glee - Seriously, what's so good about that show? girls and gays dancing and singing, is that fun? Everything's so lame and corny. It's rubbish.

Never seen Glee but I can tell by the media hype and constants songs from it on Radio 1 that it is shit. Sex in the City, Eastenders,Rules of Engagement etc I could go on all day so I will leave it at that.

I can't watch any singing competition's like American Idol or The X Factor and talent shows like Britain's Got Talent, Ireland's Got Talent for the simple reason I don't want to hear about people's life story's and why they entered the competition. The show's can be very good and some of the people are great but that one thing pisses me off so much I now hate the show's with a passion.

I can name quite a number of shows:

1) The Office - I don't see what's so funny about this show. I can't watch a single episode without wanting to harm the nearest person to me.

2) Lost - I get it. J.J. Abrams likes mysteries. But seriously, end the shit.

3) C.S.I (and all its spin-offs) - The only one of the series that I ever got interested in was Miami and that only lasted for about a week.

4) Lie to Me - A therapist version of House who solves crimes...

5) The Mentalist - CBS attempt at Lie to Me (I don't really care which show came first)

6) How I Met Your Mother - I watched this show for about the first three seasons then I just got annoyed. It's supposed to be about him telling the story of how he met the mother of his children but all it seems to circle around is Niel Patrick Harris and the stupid, ridiculous ways he fucks dumb women.

7) Gossip Girl - Uptight, money grubbing shit heads having sex. That's it.

That's all I can think of currently but I'll no doubt be back with more.

Everyone at our school is OBSSESSED with Jersey Shore. It's spirit week right now at school and today is character day. There are 4 girls dressed as Snookie and another dressed as J-Woww. That is the MOST unruly show I've ever seen on TV. I'm glad Snookie got punched by that guy at the bar. I'm glad that people hate me for not liking something they like. Fuck Jersey Shore.
