Cid spoke up as they all entered the room."It is good to see that there are more of you together, but I have bad news. It seems that Damon was abducted. We had a couple strangers around garden. Our cameras show that they took an unconcious Damon out of the garden."

"Sir. I'm sure Damon will be ok for the time being. he looked as if he could take care of himself. I'm sure we will be able to find him after we leave. We were wondering though how much do you know about the portals?"

Cid sighed had stood up from his desk.
"I honestly know very little. All I do know is that they brought here for a reason. You are an example Chris. You are the only one that can weild that saber of yours."

"Well where can we get some answers then?"

ooc: I can't due to being.... well you get the point but for an idea why not pick a place which has access to an airship or boat so that world crossing is possible

ic: After reaching deling city Damon looked around for a way back to balamb, his choice was meaningless until he encountered an officer of some kind of army

Damon: hey! army dude, how do i get back to balamb?

Officer: that is General Caraway to you! and talk to me like that again and I will send you off to jail!

Damon: whoa! cool off man, I just need to know how to get back to balamb

Caraway: well, since I want you off my case ASAP just follow the road til you come to a place called timber, from there you MAY be able to take a train back to balamb

Damon: thanks er... Caraway!
 
Danijel: ''But before we go anywhere, could you give me a weapon. I lost mine.''

Cid: ''What happened that you lost them.''

Danijel: ''Well lets say I was pushed with three Aero spells from the skycity called Bhujerba, and somewhere before I woke up on shore I lost them. Thats all I'm telling.''
 
Damon was on his way to timber and when he arrived he was stopped by some guards

Damon: hey! let me through!

Guard: no go sir, this place is under military control

Damon: excuse me?

Guard: well, Galbadia invaded us many years ago and now we can't let anyone in unless given permission by a commander or higher ranked official

Damon: does a general caraway cover it?

Guard: why yes, yes it does, you may proceed

Damon started walking and thought to himself "for all they knew I could be lying, why let me by so easy?"
 
Cis wriitens something on a piece of paper, gives it to Danijel and says...

Cid: ''Take this to weapon shop, I know the owner very well and you can take any weapon.''

Danijel: ''Thanks! Oh and someone should go look for that other person from portal.''
 
Upon arriving at the train station he was almost run over by a yellow train

Damon: holy shit! watch where you are going!

a man steps out of the train looking quite confused

Damon: hey you! could you tell the driver to watch where he is going!?

Man: er.... sorry about that... why not come in?

Damon: excuse me? do you think I will get on a train when you nearly ran me over?

Man: zone! get out here and help me take him!

Zone: WATTS! don: use our real names outside the train!

Watts: okay, sorry zone

Zone: for the love of- ah forget it lets just take this guy and get out of here!

watts and another man who is presumably zone starts to approach him

Damon: back off you two!

the two men continue to advance

Damon: I am warning you!

Damon draws his right blade

the two men bandish wooden poles and start charging and knock Damon out before he can raise his arm to block. When Damon awakens he is in a strange room and he seems to be on a moving transport

Seeing Chris, Al and Cid speechless about what Danijel said, he puts his hand on his forehead like having a headache and says...

Danijel: '' Ok, I'll go!''

He opens the door and says...

Danijel: ''Well, guys, see ya' all later.''

He exits the office and heads down the hall. As he was walking he mumbles...

Danijel: ''Prvo glupi imperijalci, pa pad s nebograda, pa onda još moram sam tražiti drugog lika iz portala. Što li će se poslije dogoditi?'' (eng. trans.: First stupid imperials, then the fall from skycity, and now I have to find another person from portal by myself. what will happen next?)

Two minutes later he exited from Balamb Garden, passed the gate and headed for Balamb town. While on the road he was thinking about all what happened, from entering through portal to meeting with Chris, Al, Mina and Cid. While he was thinking about that he finally arrived at Balamb. He immediately was searching for weapon shop. He finds it and enters it. Danijel approaches the shopclerk and gives him the letter.

He went over to Cid, and whispered something.
Cid replied.

"yes. we do. Here" he scribbled something on a paper, and gave it to Al
"go there, and tell them I sent you"
"thanks Cid"

And Al left

"WOAAAAAAH!" Danny yelled as he fell through the portal into a large room. He couldn't see the end of the room and only just managed to keep himself from falling to his death by grabbing a large pole. "Oh man, oh man" Danny said as he stared down and saw several strange looking creatures glare upwards. He felt his grip slipping and swore silently. he tried swinging in hope that when he fell he would fall into a bush or tree instead of the hard cold ground. He slipped and completely missed a tree and bush. he landed expecting to be as flat as a pancake and was pleasently surprised when he landed on something soft and squashy. He sighed and then felt horrified when it started to squirm. He jumped up and saw a strange plant like creature. He yelped and the creature charged forwards. Danny rolled out of the way and jumped back up into his fighting postion. The creature turned around and Danny smiled. It charged forward and was only 10 metres away from him when a large Dinosaur appeared and ate the creature in one single bite.
"Oh SHI------T!" Dany yelled. he scrabbled around and ran as fast as he could away from the Dinosaur. It heard him and charged after him. "OH GOD WHY DO YOU HATE ME!!" He shouted after taking a sharp left turn.
"Oi what the heck are you doing!" A male voice shouted at him. Danny stopped and dodged out of the way. The male took out a strange weapon and threw it at the dinosaur. It hit it and although it didnt kill it, it was in obvious "Are you gonna help me or not!" The male yelled at him. Danny nodded and ran up beside the guy. He nodded to him and the male nodded back. He out himself into his battle postion. The man jumped up and Danny saw him catch his weapon. The Dinosaur came back and charged at them. Danny jumped upwards and smacked the dinosaur powerfully in the head. It yelped and the male threw his weapon at it again. The dinosaur was severely damaged and raged. it charged at Danny and managed to stratch him along the chest. Danny yelped in pain and felt him pinned down to the ground by the Dinosaurs foot. He yelled in anger and pain and felt a power inside him. He unleashed a powerful attack and the monster fell to the ground, dead. Danny staggered up and walkde over to the male who was putting his weapon away.
"Thank for the help buddy." Danny said sarcastically.
"Hm hm you seemed fine on your own." He said chuckling. Danny looked at him properly. He had dark brown hair and some stubble showing he was at least 20
"Yeah, whatever. Now then, who are you and where am I?"

(BTW am in Balamb training area)
 
Shopclerk: ''Boy, is your name Danijel?''

Danijel: ''Well, yeah. How did you know?''

Shopclerk: ''I got the package from Rabanastre, few hours ago. The sender was called Dalan.''

Danijel was a bit surprised. How did Dalan knew where he was?

Danijel: ''Well, whats in the package he sent?''

Shopclerk went to the shop storeroom. Danijel could hear boxes falling on floor, probably shopclerk was searching for Danijel's package. Then the shopclerk comes back from storeroom and puts the boc on conter.

Shopclerk: ''This is the package.''

Danijel opens the box and drews a long sword.

Shopclerk: ''Thats the sword that dalmascan soldiers had, Mythril Blade.
Danijel: ''Nice, I have to thank old Dalan when I meet him again. Well anyway goodbye.''

Danijel exits the shop.

Chris stood waiting. Until only he and Cid were left in the office.
"I'm sorry to keep you sir."
Cid looked astonished.
"Why my boy? I'm in no hurry, but you should be headed off soon. What question did you have?"
"At first as I was leaving I thought that all of had to take this journey together, but as I heard everyones stories, I came to realize something."
"And what would that be?"
"We were all dropped in different places in this world at different times. We all have something to acomplish first before we come back together. If we don't we will have run out of time to accomplish whatever we were brought here to accomplish."
"You are a wiser man than many. If you feel that it is necissary then go with Mina now. She will take you to a boat that is headed towards a place called Figaro. That will take you closer to the Soceress, and may help you find some answers."
Chris took a small bow and left the room.
"Mina I'm leaving without the others."
Mina looked concerned. She didn't understand his sudden change of heart, but she wasn't going to ask. When they got to the Port Mina handed him a new jacket.
"I just got it for you. You seemed too distracted to remember."
Chris smiled.
"Thank you."
They hugged, and he got on the boat. Before he was all the way out of site Mina Got in a car and headed back to the Garden to tell the others of Chris' depature.
 
As Danijel exited he realized how big Balamb is. He asked the old man that was passing through...

Danijel: ''Excuse me, can you tell me where is the transport that can take me to other towns?''

Old man: ''Yes there is, there are docks that are just north of here.''

Danijel thanked the man and went to the docks. He heard a ship horn and went running, but too late. The ship started sailing. Danijel all dissapointed went back to town.
10 minutes later the Sun hide behind the horizon and the night came. Danijel was looking for Inn, but he couldn't find anything cause the city was big. Everybody was already in the buildings and Danijel was all alone in the big city. Then he hears two voices not so far from him. As he was walking he hears voices pretty clearly. Then he saw two person, one was Seeq (has chains across his belly and a big hammer on his back) and another one was Bangaa (has big metal armguard on right hand, chains wrapped around left arm and a spear on his back).

Seeq: ''I'm tired of looking for that boy. How come that little runt could beat so many imperials.''

Bangaa: ''I heard that runt is a blue mage. No wonder he could beat them.''

Danijel quickly started walking fastly in hope they two won't see them. But no luck. The two of them looked over where Danijel was and said loudly...

Bangaa: ''You there, stop!''

Danijel stopped and seeqand bangaa came closer to him.

Bangaa: ''Did you see this boy?''

Bangaashows the picture of... Danijel. Danijel looked bangaa into the eyes. He couldn't believe how dumb he was. Then Danijel said...

Danijel: ''Sorry, never saw him.''

Seeq: ''Well better luck in next city.''

The seeq and bangaa turned around and left. Danijel confused continues to walk. But then he heard two of them arguing. He looked back and saw two of them running towards him. Danijel draws Mythril Blade, then bangaa and seeq stopped and drew they're weapons.

Bangaa: ''You think you could get away, you little runt!'

Danijel: ''Well it would be good if I knew who i'm battling.''

Seeq: ''Hentar.''

Bangaa: ''Spike. Prepare to die.''
 
"Humph I'm Jona." Jona said to him deeply. "Who are you? How did you get here?"
"Well It all started when-" Danny was cut off by the sound of roaring only 50 metres away.
"I believe it may be a good idea to leave before we are attacked once more. You defeat one more come to claim the body." Jona said as he looked backwards. He led Danny to a long white hallway. "Where were we? AH yes who you are and how you got here."
"Well my name's Daniel, but I prefer Danny, and the last thing I remember before I came here was some sort of portal appeared in me room and I was sucked in" Danny sighed and rubbed the back of his head with his hand. The story sounded so fake.
"Another one!?" Jona said surprised "Come we better go and see the headmaster... Guess we better go find Xu first hmm?" He led Danny out of the hallway into the biggest room Danny had ever seen.
"Where are we? Who's the headmaster? Who's Xu?" Danny had so many questions
"You're in Balamb Garden. A school for mercenaries. The headmaster runs the place and is called Cid. And Xu is the only person available right now to get us up there to his office." He let go of Danny and walked him around the centre pillar. Danny couldn't help but wonder at all the people none of them were under 20! And he couldn't help but check out the girls. One of them smiled at him and waved her hand. Danny winked and followed Jona
"Wow wee man this place is amazing. You must never get tired of the girls!" Danny said, Jona chuckled and then he smiled, he had spotted who he wanted
"Xu we got another one." Jona said to the medium height strong looking pretty black-haired girl "Found him in the Training Area."
"Oh! Another one huh! Good one Jo." She looked Danny up and down and he felt like he was being scrutinized "Hmm doesn't look like much, does he?"
"Hey! I have a name and it's Danny if you don't mind. And I'm tough so watch it!" Danny growled to her angrily. She giggled
"Good, good. Attitude, my type." She smiled sweetly "I'll call Cid" She put her hand to her mouth and Danny noticed a radio "Headmaster Cid. Student ID 237/9845 found another one of the portal people." She listened for a while
"Yes sir that's Jona. I'll send him up as well." She looked at them both "Okay you two follow me I'll take ya up to the Headmaster." She walked to an elevator and Jona and Danny followed. She opened it and slid a swipe card into the controls. The lift started moving. 1st floor, top floor. The door opened
"Ah hello" Headmaster Cid said to the 3
 
Spike went first to attack Danijel with spear. Danijel jumps to the right, evading the attack, and then Hentar comes running to Danijel and swings the hammer at him. Danijel tryes to repelit but, from the hammer hitting the sword, he was pushed far backwards.
Then as Danijel was preparing the sword he was impaled from above, it was Spike that jumped and attacked. Danijel falls on the floor and quickly stands up.

Danijel: ''Ahh, I wasn't expecting that kinda force from lizard and pig.''

Spike: ''You have a big mouth, runt.''

Hentar: ''You'll pay for insulting us.''

Both of them went to attack Danijel. Danijel then gets an idea. He throws the sword at Hentar's feet making him trip and fall on Spike. Spike was struggling to get Hentar from his back. Danijel then drags the blue magic materia, grabs back his sword and puts the materia inside it.

Danijel: ''Now, to recover. (points the hand on Hentar) ABSORB!!''

The light gets out from Hentar and into Danijel, Danijel has recovered. Spike was able to throw Hentar from himself and says...

Spike: ''No more goofing. WHITE WIND!!''

When Spike yelled that out the white swirl covered Spike and Hentar, they've both recovered.

Spike: ''I know few blue spells myself!''

Danijel: ''Well, then look at another mine. BUSHFIRE!!''

Fireblazes covered the street, Spike and Hentar were looking around panicly, and then the explosion. After it cleared up, Spike and Hentar where 3 meters away from they were standing.

Hentar: ''Ouch, that hurts!''

Spike: ''Grrrr, take this. AQUA BREATH!!''

Spike opens his mouth, and from it the water. It straightly hitted Danijel and pushed him into the wall.

Good news, I might get FF8 today, that means I'll know how FF8 each place looks like. :)
 
Cid: well now, you are the second to appear in balamb's training grounds and also the fifth to appear before me who has arrived via portal, you seem to have only just arrived from what I was told.

Cid walks to a desk and pulls out a parchment

Cid: seeing as how you have not yet gained your weapon I guess I must create a challenge for you, there is a mountain range not far from here that has as of yet not been discovered, there are rumours that gloves of great power reside there which can move great weights with ease.

Cid hands Danny the parchment

Cid: this will give you permission from the balamb shopkeeper to give you all the equipment that you will need to climb this mountain, the shop is in the town of balamb not far from here, you should have no trouble locating it, I must warn you though, great roars have been heard from this mountain and it is believed a great beast resides there so be on guard and if you encounter it do not fight it in your current state. I cannot stress this enough.
 
"Umm okay... There are others?" Danny asked Cid after going through the list on the parchments

What the heck? Danny thought.
"Yes several others have appeared also. You'll meet them in time. I'm sure. Now then off you go. Xu, Jona I need to speak to you." Danny had been dismissed. He walked himself out and headed off to town.

Danny was walking along the path when it happened. He ha a great roaring coming from miles before him.
"Guess thats the great monster he was on about." Danny said to himself. He re-read the parchment and foun that the guy would be meeting him on the outskirts of town. He continued waling for a few more mnutes when he heard a whistle
"Hey! you the guy Cid sent?" The man asked
"Yeah you got the stuff I need?"
"Yeah but you got the money?
"Uhh money?"
"Grr fine if you defeat me in battle then i'll give you the stuff. Whats your weapon?"
"My fists baby." The man got into a stance Danny recognised and immediately went into a defensive pose. The man lashed out with his rght foot and Danny only managed to avoid by a hairs breadth. He countered with a sharp jab to the chest and was shocked when he missed and felt a huge amount of force hit him in the stomach. Danny was angered and hit him fully in the chest with a back-kick. The man didn't stand a chance/ That attack knocked him out completely.
"Umm... oops." He grabbed the stuff and headed back to Garden. he walked straight past and looked up at the sheer mountain. "How the heck am I supposed to do this!?" He groaned and started to climb upwards
 
When Damon opened his eyes he was on a train, most likely the one the men were on

Damon: where the hell am I going?

Voice: you are going to the castle of Lord X-death!

A man appeared in red and yellow armour and brandished a polearm

Man: I am Gilgamesh, those guys were hoping to gain information from you regarding an officer in one of the foreign armies

Damon: who is X-death?

Voice: I am X-death!

Damon: where are you?

X-death: I am in my castle, I am talking directly to you

Gilgamesh: Lord X-death has mastered the power of the mind

Damon: what, like telepathy?

Gilgamesh: all aspects of the frail mind, so easily used..... and crushed

Damon: right..... and why does X-death want to see me?

Gilgamesh: he has heard you entered via a space-time rift, basically a portal

Damon: and?

Gilgamesh: and he wishes to gain whatever knowledge you have on these 'portals' and use them to conquer the world! even break time down and create one 'super world'!

Damon(to self): so.... a dictator then eh?
 
5 hours later
"OH C'MON!!" Danny shouted. He had just been hit in the head by a fist sized stone for the 15th time. Then he saw it. 20 metres ahead was a cave. He climbed up to it and gratefully lifted himself onto it. He sighed deeply and rubs his wrist. it ached. He rested for a few minutes then got up and explored the cave. It was humungous! At least 50 metres high and looked like one giant maze. He followed the path and heard a roar louder than before. He shivered. He walked forward and tripped. he looked at what he tripped over and was frightened. A skeleton lay on the floor holding a note. Danny took the note and read it

Dear reader,

Leave. Leave now and never come back, but if you have decided to stay then beware. A gf, long forgotten lay here guarding the gloves of strength. To claim them you must defeat the GF and claim its power.

Danny shivered. he stood up and walked on
 
Danijel got up, wet. Danijel looked where Spike and Hentar were standing, but there wasn't Spike. Danijel looked up and see Spike in midair ready to impale Danijel. As Spike was getting closer to Danijel, in air, Danijel grabbed his swords with two hands, like baseball bat. As Spike was charging at Danijel fats, Danijel swings the sword and slashes Spike. Spike fall on floor and glided where Hentar was.

Spike: ''Ouch! My back is hurting.''

Hentar: ''I'll take care of him.''

Hentar steps two steps forward. He points his hammer at Danijel and yells out...

Hentar: ''DARK!!''

Something black appears below Danijel. Then a black wave came from it and hits Danijel damaging him. Then Hentar charges at Danijel, yelling out, and readying his hammer to swing at Danijel. But seeing he was very slow Danijel charges at Hentar and slashes him. He was damaged but he didn't move a bit, Hentar then hits Danijel with hammer making him glide on floor 3 meters away.

Danijel: ''Man, feels like being hitted by train.''

Then he sees Spike doing jump attack again and Hentar readying Dark. Danijel quickly gets up and yells out.

Danijel: ''BUSHFIRE!!''

(well you know how it looks, so no more descriptions) After the fiery explosions both of them where lying on ground. The Spike gets up and says...

Spike: ''Damn, now lets stop you doing magics. MAGIC HAMMER!!''

A hammer appears above Danijel and hits him. Danijel was hoping to be damaged but he felt nothing and was confused. But then Spike says...

Spike: ''Magic hammers depletes you're use of magics. So no more Bushfiring us anymore.''
 
The Boat ride was long and boring. Chris had no money, so he had payed his way across to Figaro by doing chores on the boat. It helped pass the time. He almost wished that some sort of pirat or something would come and attack, but he had no such luck.
When they reached the port in Figaro the captain pulled him aside and gave him some money.
"Here you go kid. You'll be needing this."
"But sir, I can't accept this donation."
"This is no donation. It's payment. You did more than your fair share of work. This is the extra you earned after you paid off the amount it cost to ride along. That there is a 1000 gil."
"Thank you sir."
Chris gave him a small bow, and they parted ways.
There were many shops there for various. Some were for weapons, others were for armor and materia. He walked into the materia shop wondering what he could get here to help him.
The clerk spoke up upon seeing Chris enter.
"What can I do you for?"
"I am on a quest and am looking for something I could use on my journey."
"Well if you have the ability to use magic, then you've come to the right place. If not then the armory is next door."
"I can use magic, but I'm not sure what I will need."
"Well why don't you just get one of everything. I got materia for fire, lightning, ice, cure, and barrier magics."
"Well I already have fire and cure, so I'll take the others."
"Ok then, that'll be 600 gil."
Chris handed over the money. When he recieved the stones he placed them in the slots in his gauntlets. He immediately knew how to cast those spells, but held off for the time being. Only one slot was left empty.
As soon as he left the store, three well dressed men came up to him.
One of the men spoke. "The Emperor has requested that you come to dinner this evening."
'Emperor? Me? How did anyone even know who I am? This must be important to my mission."
"Uh. Ok. Where do I have to go?" he responded.
"Just follow us. The Emperor is currently staying in the suite of the Inn."
Chris followed behind the three strangers until they reached the Inn.
