PS3 Anyone?

Alright I've seen the official list that says FFXII should work well with some minor issues. Anybody who currently posess a PS3 and who plays FFXII on it that knows what these issues are? I really cant be arsed to play a PS2 game with annoying bugs.
 
From what I've read, its all good now. Before there was a problem with all PS2 games when they were played on PS3. Now though, I believe they resolved the issue with a firmware update that you can download. Its not a Final Fantasy patch, but a Sony Ps3 patch
 
I guess there is no problem, since ps2 can read original psOne games without being unblocked.

I guess for ps2 games on ps3 is the same stuff.
 
Current American PS3's and Japanese ones are almost completely backwards compatible. Europe on the other hand...not so much

My first post in this thread answered your question dead on I thought.

The statement you are referring to exists just because I wanted to clarify that if you have a european PS3, it might not work. That is all.
 
the only patch out is 1.6, and with it a backwards compitability site has been launched, regarding 1.6, and there you can see how well old games will run, and FF12 will run with minor issues. So I wouldnt call that all good. It runs yes, but I dont like minor issues and I wonder if anyone knows what they are.
 
Do the graphics still look kind of garbage-ish? I remember seeing a video online where they played the intro scene to FFX on both a PS2 and a PS3, and split them in the middle so each was one side of the screen. The PS2 one looked WAY WAY better, since PS3 isn't as ready-made to play the graphic sets of PS2 games, or something like that.

:dry:There was a firmware update that fixed this problem for all PS2 games a few months back

yes PSone games work on it just fine i was playing MGS on it earlier today to see how it looks. Was JUST playing FFXII with absolutely no issues whatsoever. It looks the same and even smoother because i'm runnin it in HD. There were issues at release but have since been fixed by patches.
