So as a PS3 newb, I'm not all that familiar with trophies, but you don't need to be connected to the internet to do them, right? You just need the internet to show off your achievements?

Yeah you need to be signed into the ps3 network for other people to see your trophies.
I'm not particularly surprised to see that FFXIII doesn't have many trophies, however I would have liked more, but then you have to balance trophies against how hard they are to get. And I think some of those trophies may get renamed, a ravager role does sound slightly suspect.
I hope they don't follow a similar trend with Versus and eventually with KH3 by being so stingy with the trophies.

Too many images, people with dialup will just have to suffer D:
Square Enix have never give many trophies/achievements so I wasn't surprised, SO:TLH and The Last Remnant had a small list of achievements. Although, you'll be able to earn them without having PSN, the only games you couldn't are the games that didn't originally have trophies and were patched to get them (Uncharted, Star Wars etc)

Ryan do you have the acheivement version and not trophies? Like you know the 360 acheives for XIII? Have they been revealed yet. I want to see. Thanks in advance. I know they are the same thing but I just want to see the acheive version

Unfortunately not, I've had to take those images myself off of some Japanese guy on PSN in which Japan doesn't have the 360 version. Even the official EU/NA sites haven't uploaded the PS3 trophies on their sites yet.

I have a link to the Japanese version of the list, and it's only missing three trophies. It says that the total "count" looks like this.:

Bronze: 21
Silver: 7
Gold: 4
Platinum: 1
Secret: 3

That's cool that this is out, I have a feeling the Xbox 360 Achievements will soon follow, if not leaked already.

I am tempted to take a look at them and websites that tell you the Secret/Hidden one's ahead of time so I don't miss anything, but like previously stated by someone, I don't want the story/plot spoiled at all for me ahead of time.

As far as I know, most games that are on the PS3 and 360 have the same goals for each of their achievements and trophies. There are probably a couple exceptions, but I'm expecting that these will be the 360 achievements.

However, we have no idea what the Gamerscore for each achievement will be.
