Firstly, since I don't see a thread directly related to Quickenings: how do you feel about Quickenings in Final Fantasy XII? I see them as a replacement to the Limit Break system, which only occured to me yesterday DID NOT EXIST anymore :P I quite like them over Limit Breaks, actually.

I have discovered a loop-hole to using High-Levelled Quickenings much more often. I'm not one of these people to let my characters, sitting on the sidelines, have their Liscence Points build up to a ludicrous number. I would spend LP's equally amongst my characters and make them all reach their Quickenings. Now, for the loop hole. Most people would just use them on either their active party, their inactive party or, indeed, both. Well, as simple as it may sound, it helps a hell of a lot: after the initial Quickening Chain with your STRONGER party, switch out the weakest of them and exchange them with someone from your inactive party. Having full MP, this new member can initiate the chain, even though the other members have 0 MP. So, in essence, you can actually do 4 straight rounds of Quickenings, with a full party, this way. Combined with Elixers/Ethers and such like, you can surely wipe out massive numbers to a Boss' HP.

What's the Highest number of Quickenings you've achieved in one complete Chain? I managed a 17-hit Chain on Tuesday, battling Doctor Cid. It was definitely a fluke; compared to my average of 8/9 :P

1. I like the idea of them but its flawed - spending all my MP on a limit is NOT acceptable IMO - it would have been more acceptable if it consimed the rest of your MP - instead of having to consume them all.

2. Ya i do that too my Main Party (Fran Ashe And Basch BTW lo) use there quickenings then i swap them around with the side party to activate another quickening chain.

3. i think my highest chain limit thingy was 5 - but 3 of them were basch's o_0

4. What an organised post i made XD

i thought they were kinda cheap becaues u get them on the license board so i just stayed in the eastersand killing wolves until i had enough to get them all

1, I did not like them that much. I miss everyone have a very unquie limit break, so it made everyone feel more the same which imo is not a godo thing, so I do hope they bring back limit breaks in the next game to make every charter feel more unquie.

2, Nope I don't do that at the moment but that is a good idea. I think I will do that once i've got enougth licence points for them all to do that, and I get back into 12

3, My hightest limit was 9, and I only had 3 Quickenings at that point in time so I'm sure if i get them all i can get even higher :D

I like the Quickenings replacing Limit Breaks. They aren't too much different to the concept of Limit Breaks from previous FF's. They break the limit of a chacters normal abilities, and it comes at a price. Using up the MP is too much of a bother, but it's annoying when you have none left for healing. Other than that there isn't much of a fault with them. My highest would have to be a pitiful 2 o_O

I pulled off a 26 Chain in the Gilmore Jungle agsinst 2 of those flaming BLue Hounds and hit for 27,000 on the hit. I marked it down right after completed it cuz I knew I wasn't going to pull that one off for quite a while again.

KH2 is the only game that made me love to use a limit-like attack. That's all I have to say ._.

The reason you don't see any specific topic about it is because everyone has expressed their opinions on the issue under like 4 different other topics... but whatever. lol

The quickenings were crap, IMO. They were a sure hit, that's the only thing I liked. Unfortunately that was the only sure thing about them... because how much damage you did and how many you could link together was pretty sad. They also continued the theme of the game that you're characters are not very strong seperate but together are half decent... which I'm not a major fan of. Some of them looked decent, some of them didn't.

And you're trick is good... but yea, hopefully most people figured that out. lol Just like using quickenings to regain MP. You could easily use one bar and regain 9 bars total if you're good enough. As for my highest chain, it wasn't very high. I think it was like 15 or 16. Most of them were level 1 or two quickenings so I didn't even get Blackhole from it...

I thought it was cool idea, but then after using it so many times, it got old really quickly because everyone usually performed the same attacks. And then some of the attacks they perform kinda sucks, and you really have no control on what kind of attack they can perform because it's all based on luck. So there's the downside to it.

However, it's still a great idea because it's something new and, I actually got used to the system already. It's not as complicated either.

I think my highest was around 14-17 or something.
