So are we gonna get a whole slew of movies "-as written by Stephenie Meyer" now or something? I mean, Twilight's one thing but this little project just screams "DESIGNATED TARGET: TWILIGHT CROWD".

Somehow I knew Amanda Seyfried would be playing "Red riding Hood" before I even saw the trailer. I think I'm starting to understand what's her niche in acting at the moment :lew:

Might that have anything to do with "From the Directors of Twilight"? :wacky:

But a whole movie from a 5 minute fairytale? Sounds a bit farfetched to me.

They might lure in the teen twilight fans by making the werewolf jacob?

Who knows, but this looks like its gonna blow.

Seriously. "a young girl falls for an orphaned woodcutter"? :ffs:

Well you know I despise zappy romance movies, you know all that mushy mushy stuff :ffs:

But I see the genres displayed as Drama and Thriller, those genres I do like...I hope its not a dumb romance movie... I hope its a bit of eerie thriller as well :P

I dont think its going to be a awful movie, it might be interesting.... I hope :tehe:

Wow they're certainly taking on a different angle to this age old story.

Quite frankly it's a turn off for me.

Just another depressing lovesick teenage movie?

I'm so tempted to watch it to see what they've done with it, but at the same time I just know it'll ruin the original story for me. >.<

I will probably go see it....just because :monster: However it looks like a semi-clone of the twilight movies. In my opinion there has been few, if any really good movies this year, and it is sad that because of that fact, that this movie looks at least half way interesting. Its obviously not an uber intelligent make-you-think a lot flick, but it should be fun to see, nonetheless.

Here's a list of ten good ones for ya :dave:

And this trailer looks kinda shit. But of course, we need another harlequin romance film, I mean, crazy attractive females in love with crazy attractive supernatural creatures sells rather well. Now could someone tell me who the make up artist and cinematographer are? I need to "have a word"

I agree with the general consensus--even if they hadn't mentioned any crew members' association with Twatlight, it still smacks of it far too much. If they had waited ten years before releasing it, or done it ten years ago, it might have been easier to isolate it as something independent of that; but it looks essentially like they have just geared it towards that audience, because it sells really well right now, and whoever's in charge has suddenly realized that there's only one more movie in that series to make--then the scramble is to perpetuate said fad until a new one arises which they also have their nails in.

I saw this a few weeks ago and I have to say I was rather pleased with it!

Even Steve looked at it originally and didn't want to watch it.

But when we both sat down and watched it, we really got into it. It was a really intriguing story and kept you on your toes, wondering who the big bad wolf really was.

I like how they took a different approach to the movie so that it would appeal to the older audience. Good stuff. :ryan:
