If you know what this is, you automatically know what I'm talking about.

Personally, I won't do it because I think it's just a cheap way to level up and borderline cheating.

But the guy that came up with this idea (and it DOES work), states that you can start the loop, go to bed, and by the time you wake up your characters will be at level 99.

I tried this loop personally to see if it would work, and let it run for about 2 hours. It worked, as I said, but there is NO WAY your characters will make it to level 99 with it, even if you put Haste on Negalmuur, in 8-10 hours time.

For one thing, the undead that it spawns range from about 270 exp to roughly 330 exp each. By my own ballparking here, it would take well over 24 hours to even come close to level 99, and that's WITH every character equipped with embroidered tippetts.

If you want to know more about this thing, lemme know, and I'll give you the shortened version on how to do it.

Yeah, pretty sure I know what you're talking about there.

Personally I wouldn't do it either. I myself don't have a problem with leveling up/training or anything like that, but to do it like that? Nah.

Agreed. It's much more fun for me to level up in Giruvegan or my new bestest favorite bestest spot!

It's the little winding hill that leads you up to where you have to defeat Roblon on a hunt. Skeletons pop up at nearly every inch up that hill, and all of 'em are over 1,500 exp each.

Great place to chain for some real good stuff as well, as they are the only things there, and you can just flee back a couple of screens real easy to reset everything.

I would never do anything like that in a video game. I mean you spend enough money on the game, why not sit down and play it for yourself? If you don't want to play the game and level up for yourself then go play another game. I didn't mind leveling up in this game because I thought the battle system was fun. You are really just cheating yourself by using this shortcut.

Yes, exactly what I was trying to say. You really are cheating yourself if you do that. If you don't want to put your time and effort into leveling up yourself, then you shouldn't be playing the game, IMO.

Could you PM what this loop is, I'm curious. I wouldn't use it now, except maybe for kicks. Thanks in advance.

Shocker I agree with what you said and its the main reason why I didn't even bother to try it out in the first place. I just decided to level up in Phase 2 Dig site of Henne Mines and get it over with :P Giruvegan was also a good place to level up, the rooms with the zombies, not to mention they die faster than those damn bats, like 1/2 visit on any of the 3 rooms near Ultima and you level up with the 2x exp item. Of course that means standing by and waiting for the zombies to respawn untill they stop respawning. Then you leave and go to another room.

The bats there are kinda annoying though... ah well.

What are the good items you can get by chaining on the hill by the Roblon?

They'll drop "Blood Darkened Bones" very often, especially if you have the monograph for undead (can't remember the name of it offhand).

As for any rare, rare stuff, I'm not sure on that. I'll have to spend some more time there and see if I can get anything. I haven't tried to steal or poach from them yet, so there might be some extra loot that way as well.

And Xeno, yep those bats near there are ornery as hell. Almost as ornery as half the creatures in the Necrohol who have a penchant for avoiding your attacks. I hate that.

Actually, I'm not totally sure on the answer to that one.

I do know that for some rare items, poaching has to be the method to get them (such as admantite..I think), and they can't be obtained by stealing.

Some rare items can only be obtained by being dropped by the creature you kill.

I'm sure there are lists out there that state what each creature in the bestiary drops, but I find it much more fun to find stuff out on my own. On my latest playthrough, a bat dropped a broadsword in Barheim. Never saw that before.

Hey, im curious too. PM the info to me. Please.

And yeah i agree with practically everyone here, i think it's useless to pay so much for the game and then not play it the right way.
