I'm currently playing Final Fantasy 8 on my PSP. I haven't played it since it was released (too many other RPG's) and I'm enjoying every second of it. It still is my favorite Final Fantasy game.

I'm planning on beating Omega Weapon this time as that was the only thing I didn't manage to do the first time I played it.

The only strange thing is that I remember parts of this game to be much harder then they are now. I remember I had great trouble beating Ultima Weapon first time around. I just beat it in under 2 minutes without any real problems, almost forgot to draw Eden.

Now I just have to finish it to see the best ending of the entire series again :)

When I finish it I will start 7 or 9, can't decide which one.

Just bought this on my PSP aswell, along with VII, IX and Vagrant Story. I don't know which one to devote more time too! I wish we got Chrono Cross here in the UK too...it's on the PSN store in the states :(

I know what you mean about the difficulty too. I used to find the games much harder, though I think it's because I was very young when I first played them and I probably didn't really understand the customisation and levelling systems very well.

I'd play IX next...if only for continuities sake :P

Yeah, the problem with FFVIII is that it is simply too easy. I recommend trying the low level no junction run if you're looking for a real challenge, because even omega weapon and ultima weapon are joke super bosses :c

FFVIII is SUPER broken if you learn the Card Mod early too. I know you can get some crazy powerful spells really early on. I've watched some videos on Youtube where some people can get Squall's ultimate before the end of the first disk! :kelly:

FFVIII is actually the only Final Fantasy I didn't finish. I've been playing it on my PSP also but I stopped for a bit and now I can't remember where I was going or what I was doing?!

It's one of my least favorite FF titles too. ^^; I really don't see the appeal in it, but to each his own. n.n

I beat Omega in 8 minutes. I will try the low level no junction run some time because this was just to easy.

With card mod you can get the lionheart on disc 1. If you level up a lot early on before you battle diablos you can draw holy from him on disc one. With card mod you can 3 st-at from sirens card for example. As soon as you really understand the junction system you can make yourself almost untouchable.

Anyway I decided to go for FF VII, I'm in the mood for chocobo breeding

That was my problem with the game, it was entirely too easy. Even that crab boss in the beginning is no problem to beat. I think the junction system was cool in concept but absolutely horrid in practice. Why square thought it was going to be a good idea to remove armor and remove weapon shops I'll never understand.

Oh gosh and don't get me started on the characters and story because it would take all day to point out all the flaws in that alone. Dx

^ This ! When I was 10 I sucked at FF8 and couldn't even end the last dungeon, but I gave it a second retry a few months ago and FF8 was a 4 or 3 week breeze through ! :surprised:

Once you get Card Mod working and understand the Junction system to a tea this game is basically yours to control. The only issue I had this time was trying to find Rajin and Fujin in Balamb Town when it's under Gabadian ruling. Just could not find them !:thehell:

About being able to get Squall's last weapon on CD1 you can, I thought about doing that, but to be frank I'm not the biggest Squall fan so just didn't care and moved on to the Parade in Deling and got some Ir-viiiine.

Lol I love him. Though no surprises there ! The only thing we're not opposites about is both our feelings towards Yuna :lew:

I agree with you that he does tries too hard though, though he only acts that way because he's unconfident/ unsure of himself and so he tries to act ''cooler ''. :hmmm:

He seemed like such a looser to me. Dx Ugh FF8 was just so bad bad bad bad. ;_; I can respect them taking risks with the gameplay but the story is beyond saving in my eyes. :sad3:

i replay FF8 alot and i love the story because i actually understood it, but i'll admit it has plot holes but so did 7. and alot of people who are suck in 7 land don't see that 8 actually has a very dedicated fan base it self we just don't feel we need to preach it every 5mins lol
