In this trailer for Resident Evil: Damnation, a new 3D computer-generated film due in 2012, our salon-fresh savior Leon S. Kennedy finds himself in a European warzone, facing "the worst evil." Are retailer-exclusive pre-order bonuses just as bad in Europe?

Eeh, I'm indifferent. I bought the first CGI Resident Evil movie, Resident Evil Degeration, and I found it to be an utter disappointment with a very generic and cliche villain. Also thought it would have been better off as a video game than an actual CGI movie.

Here's hoping this new movie will turn out better than the first.

I actually liked Degeneration. It was the only movie that felt like a Resident Evil game (of course, that was due to it being made by the company). The live action films were one disappointing piece of crap after another. I haven't even seen Afterlife and I already know it sucked, but I'll more than likely end up seeing it anyway. But I will see this movie. I'm aware that it's a teaser trailer, they still could've given just a teeny bit more clue as to what it's supposed to be about. I guess they thought "Hey, let's put lickers in the trailer, that'll get their attention." Apparently, however, it worked, because now I'm curious what the fuck the point of them being in there was. :hmph:

I can't wait for that movie it look's really good I wonder what other experiments are in it apart from the Lickers I want to see some Reapers and a couple of crazy Dogs. Any clue to whether it's about a new strain of the virus or some evil dude trying to control/destroy the planet?

I hope this film won't send a group of elite soldiers into a building and they all get killed by a monster yet one person goes in and there able to kill the monster.

I love the Resident Evil movies!

Loved Degeneration and I hope I enjoy this one as well. No doubt I will. >.<

The trailer is a bit disappointing though. A bit bland and doesn't really draw me in too much. Hopefully the actual movie is more 0_0 than that.

Looking forward to the release of this one. I can't believe it's taken so long to come out. >.<

Degeneration > Paul Anderson's "Here look it's Alice, NOW LET'S WATCH IN SLOW MOTION FOR TWO HOURS" movies, end of. That being said, everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but as a RE fan I don't see those a RE movies at all. It's just turned into Alice: The Movie Series now.

Even if I was disappointed by how much Leon blatantly got more action sequences than Claire, thus overshadowing her. It was still true to the RE canon and not all that bad though.

Damnation looks decent but, again, it'll be Leon in the spotlight for the whole duration of it no doubt. Also, if they're bringing back Lickers, I demand Hunters and at least one Tyrant (highly unlikely). They could also take the time to explain what happened to Sherry after she got shafted from RE5 and Jill took her place, then Sheva took Jill's blah blah. lolit'sracistnojk.

Though it would be nice to see a city setting again. No doubt it'll all self destruct in the end in true Resident Evil fashion. As it should be.

I might be the only old RE fan who loves Alice. :sad3:

I didn't really care for the last one of these, but I might give this one a try. I don't really care for Leon, so that might be why.

Honestly, I sort of wish they'd stop making so many movies. They're starting to milk the cow dry.

it'll most likely be awful, like the last few. the first two films were alright, mostly thanks to a good cast better than the level of the films. straight to dvd films are rarely, if ever, any good at all so this will probably follow that trend.

I quite liked Degeneration. Kinda sets up for Resident Evil 5, I presume, as I haven't played any of the games since 4. As for the movies, I'm not a massive fan. The first one was ok but they pissed me off with Apocalypse and Extinction. I just recently got around to watching Afterlife though and didn't think it was all too bad. But thats maybe because girls with guns = fucking awesome (Lots of Alices and the lass that plays Claire... *drool*).

Infact the only real problem with it is they killed off that lass so soon after she gets out of the water. I mean what the shitting fuck? At least get her into the light for a bit before she gets nomed on! The Claire and Executioner fight scene in the showers made up for it a bit though I guess.

A lot of you may not see it, but things like that are infact VERY important.
