Resident Evil- Outbreak....File 1

"...how many of those things followed you, if any?"

"I can't really tell to be honest with you. "

Calming himself, he continued.

"But I got two with my knife here..."

He illustrated by pointing to his blood-coated steak knife.

"But they shouldn't be too much to worry about. The wounds that they give you heal up really quick. Abnormally so, I suppose. The bastards scratched me up when I was tryin' ta' find a place ta' stab 'em in."

There was another wound that he had illustrated to the woman that was healing itself up right in front of their very eyes.

"It's kinda' cool though ya' know. It's like i'm Wolverine or something."

Sirus was trying, poorly to hide his sadness behind a fake forced smile. His family lay dead. His bosses, teachers, and friends were now probably either dead or zombies. BUt he didn't want her to see him lose it. And he didn't want to cry in fron of her either. It was a sign of weakness. In these times, one had to be strong. Crying wasn't going to get him anywhere. And besides, he could mourn for them later. That is if he managed to make it out of this alive.

"How 'bout we head to the police station for right now. We can talk more at length when we're safe. Right?"

But Sirus didn't know what was going on at the police station.

As the wagon moved forward Michael could not help but wonder if William, Joe and the others were alright, at that moment he should worry about himself since what he was about to see was a spectacle of horror...

As soon as they arrived at the designated place shots from every direction were heard, the police had formed a defensive line and used a lot of vehicles to form a barricade, and in the distance a lot of moans could be heard a few citizens runned to the back of the defensive line screaming and crying, probably thinking that the police force could protect them.
And right in front of them a large mass of undead figures stood walking forward with no fear or mercy, there were at least 1000 of them, souless monsters which seeked the blood of the living.

Two choppers with Umbrella logo on them flyed pass the police force and sent ropes down, rappeling down came a group of about 20 men all armed with M-16, bullet proof vests, handguns and grenades. They all had a serious look on their faces and looked like ex-convicts, but who cared at that moment? They were all well armed and ready to assist the police force in defending the city, a few children were taken away in the helicopter as their parents cried to see them go, probably knowing that they might not see their children again.

A tall man with grey hair aproached Michael...

Tall Man:"We are here to assist you! What's the situation so far? We have dispacthed other units across the city to save as many people as we can."

Michael looked at the man with a suspicious look, not answering at first, but since they were not in the best situation possible he decided not to question the man and tell him what he knew.

"Right you're from Umbrella? Well we need all the help we can get at the moment, there have been reports all over the city about groups of people killing each other, we already had a lot of casualties and...the people who get injured turn to one of them. So far the police station is holding on, we have taken as many survivors as possible there. My name is Michael Burton member of the S.T.A.R.S special police force, and who are you?"

Tall Man:"My name is Nicholai, i am a lieutenat of the special force of Umbrella and we came here to rescue civilians, but for now you do not need to concern yourself with this just get your men ready cause they are getting closer!"

Nicholai had an obnoxious way of speaking, he really would have made Michael angry if they were in different circunstances, but he quickly forgot about Nicholai as the undead got closer and closer, finally when they were in range a single order was heard and the battle began...

"FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"...that's all you're using?" Salena asked, rather astonished. Well, the kid certainly had some balls at least; going up against these monsters with nothing but a kitchen knife. Though if he was going to be with her...

"You'll need a better weapon than that," she said as she felt through her messenger bag. It was probably a stupid idea, but if he was a survivor, the least she could do was lend him a proper weapon. The M1911A1 pistol snagged a bit on the rifle she had, but she managed to pull it out along with a couple clips.

"You do know how to use one of these, right?" she asked as she approached the teen, handing it all over. "It should already be loaded"

Wayne finally reached the his police car. He entered it, started it and drove off. He tryes with police radio to contact another policeman.

Wayne: ''This is police officer Wayne, can anybody hear me. Roger!''

No one was answering. Wayne thought everybody might be at police station. He turned around and went towards police station.

Sirus was for the first time ever being handed a loaded gun.

"What, are you kidding me?"

It was surprisingly heavy. He struggled to keep it in his hands for a moment, hoping and praying that he wouldn't accidently pull the trigger. The closest that he had ever gotten to using a real gun was those light-gun machines at the arcade.

"I'm sorry, but I have no idea of how to use this thing. The most i've done is occasional street brawl."

He was more than certain that she'd be disgusted and disappointed. Which worried him the most, because right now, he really didn't want to be left alone.

Shots were fired in every direction, one by one each of the undead falled to the ground and did not move anymore but they just kept coming, the screams of the civilians was heard, they feared that the police would not be enough to stop the undead army from getting near them.

Police captain:"DON'T LET THEM APROACH KEEP FIRING!!!!"

Police officer:"Come and get me!"

Every man and woman was trying their best to keep the insane crowd from getting closer but there were so many, not even shotguns could kill them in one shot. The umbrella men were giving a great assistance with their machine guns and grenades but it simply just wasn't enough.

Then a civilian screamed and pointed to an alley, Michael looked in desbelief, about 60 or 70 undead started coming out of the alley the survivors were going to be ambushed....

((Where the hell is Joe?))

In a desperate attempt to elude the horrendous fiend, William bent his knees and jumped to his left, evading the beast by mere inches. While in mid air he pulled the trigger of his handgun releasing three consecutive rounds on the beasts torso. Trying to draw its attention, William kept shooting at the best while walking backwards until he stumbled with shotgun. The beast charged towards William as the young cop desperately held the shotgun aiming randomly forward and releasing a single burst of scattering bullets on the beast's head. The monster's brain exploded scattering blood and flesh all around them.

"Hahaha now who's boss you motherf****r."

William rose quickly on his feet, taking the shotgun with him and headed towards the main lobby of the police station. If more of those things were to arrive, the police department would be in serious trouble. It was 6:37 PM when William checked his watch, it was already quite dark with the sun setting on the horizon clouded by smoke, flames and the sounds of gun shots.

William reached the main lobby and found a radio on the counter. He turned it on on a random channel hoping to get in contact with any of the police officers. He reported the current incident, giving detailed descriptions of the horrendous fiend he had killed.

-"All officers! We need immediate backup! The Police Station is under attack!!! Fuck! Michael please answer! Oh shit no!!! Holy shit!!!"- The communication was cut off. Suddenly, William heard a distant growled and remembered that there were still those damn dogs roaming the area in search of flesh. He heard the sounds of steps louder and louder until he could finally sight three dogs running towards him. Desperately, William jumped over the counter, rose quickly and ran towards the first door he saw, which lead to the west hall. He slammed the door behind him, keeping the doors on the other side trying to take the door down. William pressed against the wall not willing to give up, until he finally couldn't hear them anymore. William leaned his back against the door and sighed in relief.

-"God, that was a close one."-

The situation was getting worst by the minute they were being surrounded, there were more and more undead appearing by the minute.

Umbrella Major:"DON'T GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Police Officer:"AHHHHHHHHH STAY AWAY!"

Michael received a communication from William requesting assistance...but it was too late, some policemen abandoned their position and runned for their lifes, others were being slaughtered and a few were still shooting at every direction possible. Michael saw a lot of his friends and teammates being bitten to death and screaming for help. One of the police sergeant ordered everyone to pullback but...it was simply too late.

The screams of despair of the men and women of Racoon City echoed in Michaels ears, but he could not do anything except move back. He helped a fellow officer who had been injured to get up and started moving in the direction of an alley which seemed clear, in the back a few machine gun sounds could still be heard. Michael looked back and saw a single Umbrella special force member grabbing a strange device, it looked like a bomb.

Umbrella special force member:"I'M GONNA DIE BUT I'M TAKING YOU MONSTERS WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!!"

He triggered the bomb and Michael, along with a few others, moved forward as fast as he could in order to escape from the blast. A loud bang was heard and the ground shook as if an earthquake had ocurred, and then a giant cloud of flames rose and destroyed the entire shopping zone, Michael was sent against a wall, due to the impact of the explosion, when he looked back he saw a sea of flames but what amazed him the most was that a few undead were moving in his direction, even with their skin burning they kept moving forward...

"This can't be...how could someone resist the blast?"

Michael had no idea, but things were only going to get worst...Racoon city had been taken over by these creatures and his new main priority was to stay alive...

After surviving a close encounter with the "cerberus" dogs, William realized that the city was close enough to become completely overwhelmed by the infection. He checked the clip of his gun seeing that only nine bullets remained in the cartridge, so he but it back on and went forward to the west side of the police station. One of his priorities would be to find some means to escape the city, and the second to assist any survivors. It was 7:23 PM when William checked the hour, the city was strangely quiet with an exceptions of a few moans in the distance, presumably more of those fiends.

While passing through the west hallway, William stumbled across a few of his comrades alongside with other citizens. He talked to them and explained that he was planning on leaving the city like Jill did, now matter what it required he promised to himself that he would survive this hell. William loaded his gun with a new clip holding 15 rounds, as well as taking some more ammunition with him. So far he had 30 handgun bullets, and 7 shotgun rounds. William decided to save the shotgun rounds in case of encountering another one of those giant freaks with extra large tongues. Some of the police officers named them "Lickers" though William would have preferred to call them "suckers".

"I guess I should find out more about this disease, how it works and how contagious it is. I guess that how fast the infection spread answered how contagious the disease is, so that leaves who created it and where and more important if there's some sort of cure."

William ventured further into the police station until reaching a dead end. He had his doubts upon opening the door but still he opened it. Suddenly, more of this zombies tried to force their way in, and William had no choice to push them back with a few gunshots and sealed the door with everything he could find.

"Definitely wrong way..."

William thought that he had to go back to the main lobby, but the idea of seeing those dogs again made him have his doubts. Monsters or not, he couldn't stay here forever. As soon as he reached the door leading to the main lobby, he cautiously opened it, aiming his handgun to all sides. The dogs weren't here which meant that either: A) They were killed, B)They somewhere nearby or, C) They are hiding and waiting for William to make a mistake to eat his ass.

William thought that option "C" was the most probable, so he walked with precaution paying attention to the slightest sign of movement. He sighted one of the dogs running towards him so he aimed his gun and waited for the right moment to shot.

"Not this time...."

William put the gun back in its holster and drew the shotgun, aiming towards the dog's head. As soon as he pulled the trigger, the bullets scattered towards the dog blowing its head into fragments of rotten flesh.

William sighed with relief. Counting the one he killed before, the one blown apart by Joe and this one, meant that only one dog remained. He decided that, in order to move more secure, he would need to hunt that sucker down.

Wayne was driving and looking at the chaos in the streets. Every shop was busted, the blood was everywhere and half eaten civilians were lying wherever you can see. Suddenly a police officer speaks through radio...

Policeman on radio: ''All officers! We need immediate backup! The Police Station is under attack!!! Fuck! Michael please answer! Oh shit no!!! Holy shit!!!''

After that radio call Wayne speed up the vehicle to reach Police Station faster. On the road intersections he turned right. As he did that he ran just in front of a horde of zombies. He yelled while pushing a break...

Wayne: ''WHOA...!''

He quickly shifted to reverse and started driving backwards. The horde started moving faster, but not faster than a car. He turned around and stepped the pedal to the metal. On the same road intersections he turned right and took a longer route to Police Station.
5 minutes later his car suddenly stopped. Wayne got out and went to check the engine. As he opened the hood the smoke started to spread, the engine was overheated.

Wayne: *cough*''Well this is an evidence that Racoon government are cheap bastards.''

After he said that he hears a footsteps. Not regular footsteps but footsteps like the elephant was walking. He hides in the alleyway and looks what is walking. As he looked a huge, ugly creature came into his sight. The creature was holding a bazooka in one hand and minigun in another.

Wayne (quietly): ''Holy!!! Looks like Goliath came to life. And I think a slingshot and a stone won't help this time.''

Wayne then just started to run, not too fast, through the alleyway to evade the meeting of mysterious large creature and to finally get to Police Station that was 2 km away.

OOC: Guess whos the creature :P

Salena gave a sigh. Although, from the look of him, this kid hadn't been up close and personal with such violence until today. She pulled out her own pistol and held it out in plain sight.

"Though yours is a little bigger, it works the same way as any other gun. You hold it like so," Salena gripped her gun, placing her finger on the trigger, "and squeeze the trigger. It'll kick back on you a bit, but that's supposed to happen. Once the clip is empty, you let it slide out," she pressed something which allowed the clip to slide out into her hand, "and reload," since the clip wasn't used as of yet, she just jammed that one in.

After a pause, she tapped his pistol with hers, pointing out some sort of switch.

"...and you might want to flip off the safety or you won't be able to kill any of those things. Try aiming for the head."

Salena slipped her pistol back into her jacket once her little 'tutorial' was over with.

"I hope you got all that down, 'cause I'm not going to repeat it. Lead the way, kid."

Several Hours ago...

In a dark room inside the Raccoon City Hospital administrated by the Umbrella Corporation, there was evidence of a biological weapon that was being developed. Computers and other sorts of medical and high technology equipment were set around a examination table. There we saw a unbelievably enormous beast, with strong muscular built. One could say the beast was about 7 feet tall, though no one would be willing to confirm it. The beast's showed slight resemblance to a human though most of his body, especially his face, were twisted by the exposure to the T-Virus and a newly created Ne-Virus. All sorts of cables were connected to the beast keeping it in check, analyzing its development and body.

On one of the computers, we see the following message: "NemesisProgram Activated. Main Objective: Hunt down STARS members."

"I hope you got all that down, 'cause I'm not going to repeat it. Lead the way, kid."

Memorizing the basics of gun operation was easy enough from the womans visual instruction. Making it to the police station in one piece though was something else entirely. His eyes darted around, ever-so carefully scanning his surroundings. A building here, a large pool of blood there. The street that they were now on was eerily desolate. True he'd known how to reach the police station before. But now, it seemed as if he were in an entirely different world, for this was no longer the Racoon City that he once knew and loved.

He reached out into the street, cautiously stretching his foot forward, and then pulling it back. Until he was brave enough to take another step. It seemed now that every step that he had taken was a test of his courage.

Overcoming his fear came shortly enough; it was remedied by the one thing that he didn't want: less-than comfortable company.

It had started when Sirus heard one of the garbage cans being knocked over. His ears instantly pricked up, alerting him, sending his adrenal system to work. It was this kind of fear though heightened his senses. Slowly, carefully, he reached for the pocket that carried his new pistol in it.

"Who's there!?"

He yelled out, hoping for a response. There was none.

The noise kept getting louder and louder.

Sirus drew his pistol, putting out in front of him with his fingers perilously close to the trigger. His hands were shaking. Part of it was frmo the anticipation. Part of it was from the anxiety of it all. And part of it was from the weight of the gun despite it's size as he struggled to keep it steady.

Then the growling came; terrible, blood-curdling, half-decomposed growling. Dogs with rotting flesh hanging in strips, blood coagulated, vitriol fluid congealed and slightly crusted over.

Oh, and he forgot about the one behind him. It lunged his neck, taking him completely unawares.

"Getoffgetoffgettoffame!"

He half-yelled, half-grunted, as the dog brought him down to his knees. The dogs brought Sirus to the ground when it sank it's teeth deeply into his right shoulder followed by the side of his neck.

Sirus howled in pain and then finally frustration as he fought to gain the upper hand. Instinctively, his hand reached for the nearest possible weapon as he fought to keep himself from being eaten. Luckily for him though, the nearest possible weapon that his hand grabbed for was his new pistol that he had dropped t the beginning of the struggle. There wasn't enough time distance to pull the trigger which made him end up grabbing it by the barrel so as to club the damned thing to the point of it's second death with the butt of the pistol. He clubbed as hard and fast and furiously as he could until it's motion and movement had finally been stopped.

There wasn't a second to lose though with the other two from the alley fast approaching. Sirus switched up his grip and took aim, firing as quickly and loudly in their direction as he could. Simply put, there wasn't enough time to take aim as he pushed himself onto his side.

"BLAM! MLAM! BLAM! BLAM!" The shots rang loud enough for the police station to hear as the noise fell back, echoing and reverberating across the newly emptied streets. He was most certainly was lucky. He had gotten the both of dead between the eyes with his hail of gunshot fire.

Bleeding, drained, bloody, he stood up victorious. He tried to take his mind off of the pain as they countiued. He worried not about his wounds. For they would heal soon.

Few minutes later Wayne finally arrived at Police Station. The outside of station was in mess too. Blood was wherever you put you're foot. Suddenly he hears a shot from shotgun. He quickly enters the station.
As he entered he sees a member of the S.T.A.R.S. unit and a 'cerberus' dog corpse. When he wanted to talk to him he hears a growl behind him. He turns around and sees another 'cerberus' dog.

Wayne: ''O-oh! Nice doggy.''

Wayne pulls his gun but the zombie dog was faster and jumped on him. Wayne felled on his back holding zombie dog's jaws to prevent him from eating him.

OOC: At this point Julius, you can either save me or do something else.

Michael moved forward trying to find a place to take shelter, with him were 6 police officers and 13 civilians, holding on to his 9mm sub-machine gun he kept walking until he found a small warehouse. All of the survivors walked inside there appeared to be no evidence of undead inside.
Grabbing his radio Michael tried to estabelish contact with anyone nearby...

"This is STARS officer Michael! I'm with 2 other officers and 4 civilians inside a warehouse in the downtown area, i need immediate assistance is anyone there?"

Some of the civilians were getting quite disturbed, the group of survivors included: the police officers Kay Armstrong and Sarah Del Pierro, and the civilians Kate Warrington, James Petrucci and an old age couple Peter and Isabelle Willows.

Kay:"It's no use...we need to find a way to get to the police station, they won't come and help us!"

Everyone had to agree with Kay, the situation in the streets was out of control and there would not be any rescue.

"You're right...ahhh we have to take care of ourselfes we still have enough ammo if we don't use the main streets then we can probably get there without those things spotting us. Everyone try to find something useful that we can use in this warehouse then we will move out!"

The warehouse did not have anything that they could use except a wrench which they took and a baseball bat with the Boston Rex Sox logo on it.
Everyone was ready to go except the old couple...

Peter:"My wife and i won't go anywhere...we would have to be mad to get back outside with all those things trying to eat us!!!!"

Kate:"We understand how you feel...but staying here won't do any good, sooner or later they will find us here."

After a few minutes trying to convince the stubborn old couple to come with them, the group decided to leave them behind. Michael felt a burden on his conscious for leaving them there but he could not force them to come and from a survival point of view it would actually be easier not to have them on the group since they were already over sixty years old and could not move fast enough.

Isabelle:"May god have mercy on your souls..."

Unfortunately for Isabelle and her husband about 10 minutes after the remaining survivors left the warehouse a group of about 20 zombies broke the door and mutilated the couple leaving only a few remains of their former bodies.

In order to survive they could not hide and hope for better days to come...they had to keep moving not looking back and Michael knew that.

William heard footsteps coming from the hallway leading to the main lobby. At this point, the possibility of finding a survivor entering the police station was quite unlikely to happen. Nevertheless, he reached the holster of his handgun and drew his gun and loaded it with a new clip containing 15 9mm rounds. As William approached the door to the main lobby, he heard some growls and screams coming from the other side of the door. Without hesitating, William kicked the door wide open went forward. William soon sighted the dog attacking a civilian, so the young police officer quickly aimed his gun to the dog and unloaded several rounds on the dog's head and torso. He ran towards the civilian and kneel next to him.

"Sir, are you ok?"

(OOC: did my last post in here get deleted or something, or did I send in a post when the server got updated, this bothers me now.)

Vex have now been separated from Micheal after the explosion, is wandering by himself. He thought it soon be best to head towards the police station, maybe any surviving officers of this nightmare might be trying to find sanctuary there. "Damn I wish I would have left with Jill, but no stupid me worrying over keeping my job decided to stay. I mean come on thinking if hindesight was 20/20 I would have said screw the job and keep higher chances on staying alive." Vex was still silently cursing himself, he was low on ammo a clip left for each weapon amd he was getting tired to boot. All the running he did from those monsters have tired him out. Soon he arrvied upon the police station only to see William shooting one of the station dogs.

Rushing to catch up to him he notices that the dog William shoot was trying to eat some poor civilian. "Yo William what the hell is going on here, have any ideas?"

OOC: I am a police officer, not a civilian.
---
Wayne pushed the zombie dog corpse from himself and stood up. His uniform was covered in blood since a young S.T.A.R. member packed few bullets into a zombie dog. Then he notices another police officer came in and went to talk to the S.T.A.R. member. Wayne approaches to both of them and says S.T.A.R. member...

Wayne: ''Thanks for saving me.''

Michael and the rest of the survivors that were with him kept moving along trying to find the correct way to reach the police station, wherever he looked he saw destruction, buildings and cars on flames, a few bodies laying on the ground motionless, puddles of blood covering the road and the walls and in the distance screams of agony from the survivors and moans of the flesh eating monsters.

Kate:"How did it come to this...what did we do to deserve such a punishement?"

Michael wish he had an answer for that question but right now his main priority was to reach the police station and think about how this mess began later.

The survivors started hearing a banging noise a few meters ahead of them, when they aproached the noise they saw a group of about 15 zombies trying to break a barricade down, their moans were spine freezing and Michael knew the barricade would not last long, he then spotted a barrel with oild standing near the barricade, for the first time since this incident began Michael smiled.

"Time for some payback..."

As soon as the zombies knocked the barricade down Michael pointed his beretta to the oil barrel and shot it blowing it up and unleashing a violent explosion that blew the group of undead into pieces.

Kay:"Dude...nice one."

Michael seemed kind of proud of himself, but he then heard moanings coming from the place they had lef he decided to be arrogant later and keep moving for know...

"Alright everyone let's keep moving the Police Station is not that far away!"

"Sir, are you ok?"

A man asked after discharging a couple of rounds.

He had tried to get up, but instead had fallen to the ground once more. Those must've dogs done a number on him. Sirus was a micrometer away from bursting into tears. The stress of it all, no matter how hard he had tried to fight it was getting to him.

"Can somebody tell me just what in the F#@%! is going on!?"

He had to catch his breath for a moment. Making note of the placement of his steak knife was relatively easy. The gun that that lady gave him had been dropped to the ground in his exhaustion. Like a bolt of lightning, he reached for his gun, clutching it tightly, cradling it feebly. You could never be too sure whether or not the other survivors were bitten and infected. Or maybe he just didn't trust these funny looking police officers?

Their jackets said S.T.A.R.S on them, so perhaps they could've been some sort of swat force. Either way, he felt uneasy.

There was another one there. Was it the substantial blood loss that was getting to him? Could've been. His eyes glazed over for a second in a fit of tiredness, the other officers was saying something -and, Sirus could tell because his lips were moving- yet there was nothing that he could hear at the moment.

Sound came rushing back to him seconds later. He had to go, he had to get out of here. To police station! Yes! that's it! No, wait! If these were special forces cops, then there would've been a cop car. Was there something happening at the police station? Nah, he was sure that it was safe. Perhaps these unlicky one got stuck out here on their beats or seomthing when the shit hit the fan.

Either way, he was going to try to get up now.
