Resident Evil: Raccoon City

Party girl? :hmmm: What do you mean? And girl, Alice > Jill. Nah, I'm just kidding. xD

Cardiac Kid:
I've only played like 2-3 of the games, and not all the way, so the same for me. I remember finishing the game with Billy and Rebecca though. lol

I will love to join this club.

I am a big fan of Resident Evil. I started playing Resident Evil: Director's Cut in 1999. I was enjoying every minute of it. I remember I was scared of playing the game but I still kept on going because it was a fun game. I loved the story, the gameplay, the difficulty and the voice overs. This classic game will always be one of my favorite game from the series, followed up by Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Those are the best Resident Evil games so far in my opinion.

Once Resident Evil 4 came out it was a whole different game. To me it wasn't as fun as the previous games because they change the concept of the game. I wasn't satisfy with it. It didn't have that same spooky touch as the previous games and that is why fans are disappointed about. The controls are different, the story are kind of wack, the voice overs are awful. I mean, they need to stop making this horrible games and start making some good games with the same spooky feeling as the classic ones. Resident Evil 5 was a horrible game.

It didn't seem like a horror game at all. Zombies talking, running, screaming and using weapons. I mean come on, what happend to the zombie we once fought back then? The we're more fun killing than this new ridiculous zombie version. What do you guys think about that? Do you guys think that capcom should change the game the way it was before? Or do you guys want it to stay as it is?

Welcome! Welcome! I'll add you to the list now! ;D

Holy jumping jacks! I feel the EXACT way about the new Resident Evil games! They are good games, but they don't feel like Resident Evil games when the zombies are talking and are very much humanlike. What's so scary about a rabid person? :hmmm:

I liked it when they were dumb and slow; that was FAR more scary than the new ones. xD

I want them to make the games more like they were, but a lot of people love the way its turning out.

Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

ORC sucks.
I mean, it's the dyson vacuum of video games. :rage:

I mean, it REALLY REALLY sucks.

The graphics are HORRENDOUS, and it's SO short and its worse offense has got to be the fact that there is no split screen co-op mode. :gonk: I am seriously let down with this game. :mokken: I am PRAYING that RE6 is NOTHING like ORC and is a lot more like RE5, because RE5 was amazing. :ari:
This game let me down so hard there's a hole to china where I fell. :hal:

I played it, it wasn't that bad, though it definitely isn't the typical RE ratings. And the graphics aren't that bad either. But maybe I'm being too kind about it. I got a massive headache and some form of motion sickness from playing it, and put it down immediately. I do like the controls, far easier for me to learn and control than the other games. But with that said, the "harder" controls is what made RE fun, so that's not really a good thing. And damn...and I the only one who noticed how stupid the CPs are? Walking in to flames? Getting in your way when shooting? Letting the zombies attack their own body and then running around like chickens with their heads cut off? I thought RE5 had some bad CP controls, but this beats it out by a long shot. :argh:

Even though it was definitely not like how he presented itself or how I thought it would be, it is still kinda fun. Just not worth more than 25 dollars. For the prize of the game, could have gotten some SNES games that are 127345634654635547 times longer and are a lot more fun. Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past anyone, or perhaps Chrono Trigger?

I'm only two missions in though but yea -- short, short, and short! I told you it would be some form of short addon like game. :mokken:

I haven't tried online yet, so here's hoping that makes up for the story part.

I didn't think it sucked at all :hmmm:
I can imagine it would be pretty shit if you played 1 player and I guess it does have a few issues haha but I actually found it to be a lot of fun.
Maybe because I was playing with others though :hmmm:

Though it was really fucking short, it was not worth the money I paid, I think we finished it in like... 5 hours...even less if we didn't have to restart a couple of levels :hmmm:

Terra Brandford, No, its fun. :mokken:

I loveD it, I knew I was going to love Party Girl too :ari: She's so cool and her abilities are the best, yep, yep. I am surprisingly addicted to the multiplayer its so fun to battle other people WHILE fighting zombies, its so hectic and...apocalypsy :cali:

I just wish the campaign was longer, I was devastated when it ended :(

Still fun though. (...Depressed that me an Cali couldn't co-op the campaign together  )

@Bowie :

It probably is a lot better when you can play multi on campaign mode with others, but alone, pretty boring, especially if the CPs can't stop acting like idiots. xD
I think its fun, just not as fun as RE5 or some other RE titles. Hopefully RE6 is amazing, and can have two player again.

@Tori:

Is Party Girl the blond chick you were playing as in Online mode? She kinda looks like a blond version of Four Eyes (if I am talking about the right woman), and I don't like that one. :rage:

What do you guys think of the new upcoming Resident Evil games? Capcom has two new games in develop, Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil: Downfall for the 3DS. Would they turn out bad or not? What are your thoughts about them?

Wow, this is late. Sorry.

I think Resident Evil 6 looks really good. I haven't looked much into it yet, but I have seen commercials on Youtube and scattered screenshots here and there. I hope it is not like the Raccoon City game though. It wasn't a terrible game, of course, but the online part was very faulty.

As for the 3DS game, I've never heard of it. I don't think the 3DS game will do any good. Why? Because serious gamers, as far as I have seen, never take "serious" games made on handhelds like Nintendo's systems, any seriously and won't play it and or buy it.

So, did anyone else see the new Resident Evil movie? As usual, a lot of people complained about it, but I thought it was amazing! There was a lot more action, and a lot more zombies. Of course not like the first film, but WAY more than the previous two films. Plus it was funny too, and the action scenes were done nicely too.

Ada Wong was perfect. She kicked some major ass!

I have watched Resident Evil, Resident Evil Apocalypse and Resident Evil Extinction. There was one that I didn't like a lot but the rest of them were good. I can't wait for them to make a new Resident Evil movie with all of the characters in Resident Evil 6 including Leon. Talking about Resident Evil 6, how did you guys find the game? Was it worth buying it or is it as awful as Resident Evil 5?

So what you guys think about Resident Evil 7? Do you think it will be different from the previous games or will it be the same as the others?

I remember when Resi 6 was finished, some guy high up at Capcom said that 6 didn't have enough action and they wanted to add more for 7 (don't ask for a source though 'cause this was forever ago and I can't even remember which guy said it). I just hope the bad reviews and bad customer feedback for the game will make them change their minds about the whole "action game" phase that Resi is going through. I understand that resi has almost always had action in it, but that doesn't mean that the old ones were purely action games like 6 was.

I think Revelations 2 is doing it decently (though I'd still like to have more horror atmosphere and key item systems) and that that is the direction to go in for modern Resi. Just ramp up the horror...it's a horror series for god sake :wacky:.

Do not know how I did not join this yet but I am a huge Resident Evil fan. My favourite character has to be Claire Redfield, and I am appreciating the screentime Capcom is giving her. I suppose if she gets more praise, she will not be neglected in RE7. I am also a big fan of Jill Valentine and Ada Wong, just to name a few other women.

I am not big on the dudes in Resident Evil, but I do like Leon. Leon is just much more bearable for me when compared to say someone like Chris. I am a fan of Barry as well, but I am sure he would not get any screentime in Revelations 2 if it were not for his daughter's debut.

I would LOVE to see Capcom stop neglecting Rebecca and just say whether she is dead or not. The theories need a rest. Yeah, I know RE 0 was her lead role, but we have not seen her since and she is an original survivor. I do not think it is fair that she gets less screen time than Chris or Jill, or even Barry for that matter.

I'm counting on RE7 to really fix all the shit that has happened to this great series because Revelations 2 is a great direction so far, in my opinion.

I read on a website that Capcom is trying to bring back the horror elements that Resident Evil had. Is been so long that the fans has complained about the poor elements that the recent games had. Resident Evil Revelation is ruling over the past Resident Evil games excluding the classic ones. They are now making a Re-remaster of Resident Evil Zero HD which is not a bad idea at all. According to Capcom, they sold more HD remaster games than the original copies. They are now starting to realize that they need to change the game elements back like the old days. The fans have been saying that for years now. I think is time to bring back the horror elements to the game and make it more realistic.

What you guys think about Capcom future plans for the Resident Evil series? Will you guys be satisfy if they really bring back the horror elements that they used in the older games?
