[Role-Play] Epitaph

Ami: Signing Up

“Oh by the way Ryoku, A guy with brown hair was calling you, he had a red cape round his waist.” Ryoku turns his head around in the direction that Ami was pointed, and then saw the guy in the red like cape. Ryoku turnt his head back around to face Ami, and then went to say “Yeah, that’s a friend of mine.” Ami paused for a second again to think about this player, ‘He looks experienced, was he in the beta? Having a player around that from the beta might be a good idea.’ While continuing the thinking session, Ryoku continued to talk to her, "Well, if you want, I can help you later on, if needed, especially if you're going to sign up on the quest. It's always nice helping out others." At that moment, a little envelope sign could be seen in the corner of the HMD, using her mind, she opened the notification. To her surprise, it was a friend request from the very person she was speaking to, Ryoku, she accepted the request.

"Message me if you need any help, and or advice." Ryoku said his farewell to Ami and then walked over to meet his friend that was walking towards him.

‘Hmmm, he seemed like a nice enough guy, I hope we bump into each other again' Ami thought to herself. On that, she continued to weave herself between the big crowds to get to the sign up desk. Upon arriving, A female attendant was looking right into Ami’s rather pale face. “Are you signing up for the Hunt of the God quest too?” the attendant said to Ami in a rather cute yet soft voice. The attendant was wearing a blue uniform with a black skirt, a bit like what a flight attendant would wear back in Tokyo. “Um yeah, I would like to sign up” Ami said to the attendant. After typing in a number of details into the computer in front of her, the woman then went on to say “There you go, all signed up, good luck tehe.” “Thank you, I’ll be leaving now” Ami went to the attendant. On her way out, she saw Ryoku again, this time with the guy he met up with and a woman.

After getting through the crowds, Ami finally got outside again, only to be greeted by the same person with the black cape again. This time, the guy stopped to take a good look at her, the hood remained up, stopping Ami from seeing his face again. “I know who you are,” said the figure, in a rather creepy male voice. Ami looked above the guy head, she saw the person’s username ‘Black Face.’ The figure then went on inside the Quest Shop, “That guy, ‘Black Face’ why did he say that, does he know who I am in the real world?” After thinking for a while, Ami puts her head up, “Never Mind, I should not worry, let’s explore town a little bit more, It might help me learn how to walk better!”

With that in mind, Ami walked off and away from the Quest Shop, to further explore the city of Arcadia.

(OOC: Dangit, now I gotta use a deeper shade of green. :P )

Anzu
Three's Company

I was lucky to get a beta key. But i agree. All my friends are busy today, so im wandering around by myself. As for where we can go to explore, there are plenty of areas outside of the city with a myriad of... ufff....

Anzu watched as another person wound up bumping into her.

"Oww. Why is this task so important?

My my... i must be like some sort of lighthouse here... Everyone seems to be falling over around me. Are you ok....Ms Eile? The enthusiasm from people starting to play can be a bit rough. I'd be a bit careful. Here.

Watching Matabei help the girl up she took sight of her name, Eile, but she would quickly come to be swamped by crowds of people looking to sign up, and Anzu knew that neither one of the three were looking to get trampled. She began to help Matabei steer the crowd away from the two of them as Eile was helped up.

"Thank you. Miss...Gozen Matabei. You wouldn't know what this event is about would you?"

"I think it has something to do with a series of new quests."
Anzu said to Eile, "Hey, why don't you come with us? You wouldn't mind that, would you Matabei?" She said to the tall woman. Maybe she could be of some use to the two of them, or at least to keep her out of too much trouble, not that Anzu gets into trouble anyway.

"Oh? You were always the type to get people to join in on whatever you were doing, haha."

Ryoku bowed back at Alicia when Kuro introduced her.

"The pleasure is all mine, little lady." Jokingly to Alicia.

Ryoku looked around to find a less crowded area where they could go to and talk. "There's an area nearby the quest-shop" Ryoku pointed near the Quest-giver NPC. "It's little office-like space to the right of the quest-shop, we can go there."

"I assume you're also signing her up, for the Hunt of the God, Kuro?" He asked, turning his head back to the two. "We might as well make our way there now and sign up" eager for action and adventure. "Then maybe we can take little Alicia here, out for some hunting, eh?" Ryoku asked enthusiastically. "It's been a good while since I've had time to exercise my body. I'm itching for some excitement right now."

Ryoku could barely keep in the excitement anymore. He opened his UI to see if there was any available quests at the moment, to his effort, there was two quests open, but they were beginner quests. He sighed with a slight disappointed. He thought there would have been decent quests by the time the game stepped over to full release.

He closed his UI altogether.

"So, Kuro, what have you been up to?"

Eile Mura: Calm and Quiet

"I think it has something to do with a series of new quests."

"New quests? What do you mean? I just started today and they already have new stuff added into this game?" Eile muttered as she looked at the girl who spoke who was named Anzu from what she could see.

"Hey, why don't you come with us? You wouldn't mind that, would you Matabei?"

Eile looked over to Anzu, surprised while playing with her fingers a bit and mixing it up a bit with dusting herself off.

"You sure about that Miss Anzu? You don't mind me coming with you two even though I could possibly ruin the chance of finishing this...thing?" Eile whispered as her voice slowly got drowned out by the crowd.

Kuro & Alicia Questing.

"Oh? You were always the type to get people to join in on whatever you were doing, haha."

"Whats that supposed to mean?" Gave Ryoku a skeptical look.

"Least your more polite then Kuro, he always teased me" She said with a slightly puffed mad face.

"There's an area nearby the quest-shop" Ryoku pointed near the Quest-giver NPC. "It's little office-like space to the right of the quest-shop, we can go there."

"Perfect, Surprised so many people are signing up, theres like no information on the boss." He said as they move to the less populated area. Once they're clear from other players he speaks again. "Honestly, I just hope it goes well, the Higher ups in CC Corp. pushed the event pretty hard, I don't even know any of the details once the event starts." He says with a slightly worried look.

"I assume you're also signing her up, for the Hunt of the God, Kuro?" He asked, turning his head back to the two. "We might as well make our way there now and sign up"

"Actually we've already signed up for the event, I did it right when I logged back in, and Alicia just signed up before I noticed you in the crowd."

"Then maybe we can take little Alicia here, out for some hunting, eh?" Ryoku asked enthusiastically. "It's been a good while since I've had time to exercise my body. I'm itching for some excitement right now."

"Ohh that would be fun! Do you happen to know if anyone else wants to join us? I kinda feel out of place being the only newbie in the party" Alicia said sadly looking at the two.

"So, Kuro, what have you been up to?"

"Honestly I've been so tied up with all the crap CC has been sending with I haven't had much time to actually play and make some new friends, How Bout you Ryoku Know anyone who'd wanna join us?" He looked over to Ryoku.

Rieko teleported with white rings falling around his character's body near the Gate. He had only been playing a week after being invited by the cute woman he met. He even bought a new M2D handheld and visor for The World, so he could experience the new graphics engine. As he looked around town, he pushed up his black and gold bandanna right passed his brown eyebrows and brown eyes. His gray and brown hair kept neatly back. The rings died out has he finished the quick teleport, and the blue and red tattoo marks stopped glowing as he materialized. His long stick staff was held in his right hand and looked plain and simple. The crooked staff came up to a hook with a glowing blue crystal ball hovering inside.

"Rieko! RIEKOOOO!" A familiar voice was heard not too long after Rieko signed in. His menu screen showed a member address of his friend already online. It was hard to miss the colors of his coat and robe, but it was even harder to miss the young woman running towards him with the puffy dress and bright cyan hair with a lotus flower on the left side of her head. A character to the side said as the Death Eater came running past, "What kind of weapon is that?" Her scythe didn't even show a blade on its head. It looked like a flower that hasn't bloomed yet on top of a pole. She crashed right into Rieko with a big smile and said, "Ahhhh! I got ya! XD" He wasn't sure what to say, so he quickly replied, "Yeah. You got me." "Guess what, Rieko? There's a new event that was announced called The Hunt of the God. It's new, so we should jump on it."

Rieko looked down towards her face as she let go of him. "I've only done the Beginning Guide Quest. I was thinking of signing for another at the Quest Shop, but that sounds as good as any. Did you do anything with the stuff we found while we were looking for lucky animals?" She looked at him with big innocent eyes and told him, "I sold and traded everything with people in town. I got some really cute cards too. Then, some guy gave me something called an Undine Expansion Gemstone. I didn't know much about it, so I traded it with someone else."

Birds in the area could be seen scattering as Rieko started to have a large tear appear on the side of his head. He shouted, "You did what?! Coco, do you have any idea what that gemstone does?!" Coco had a big grin on her face and said, "Is it an event item? We can get another one later on. Let's do this quest God thing and later search for the Dragon of the Azure Sea. We have to eventually find it."

Rei
~Testing the Waters~

"Phew!"Rei breathed in a sigh of relief. She closed what appeared to be a thick 900 page textbook. She opened her leather messenger bag and reviewed over a handful of course syllabi carefully."...So, that should cover me for the next week or so. Looks like I'll finally get a chance to play 'The World' now without any distractions."

She placed the HMD on her head and adjusted it to her liking. "Hmph. 'The World,' huh? Sounds like this game has got quite an ego."She powered on the device, created a character and proceeded to log in. "This game had better be as unique as the reviews claim it is. Nothing bores me more than a typical storyline and a boring battle system..."

Rei had been teleported into The City of Arcadia. She found the background music to be quite soothing to her ears. Before she was able to fully observe her surroundings, she saw a crowd of players gathered towards the center of the city. A character adorned in a black robe stood at a podium near a tall tower and made the following announcement:

Players of "The World" I am pleased to announce that the Player Wide event, "The Hunt of the God" registry has opened, please register at the Quest Shop to get entered, once entered when the event starts players will be force warped into a dungeon and must traverse it to defeat a God known as Skeith, I look forward to you all participating in this event, this announcement will be located on the sign above the GM Tower for those who missed this announcement.

'That guy must be important somehow...'Rei thought to herself. 'Well, it looks like this game has a good amount of activity after all. So many players...' She grimaced a bit at the thought of having to join with other players to defeat this so-called "God" dubbed Skeith.'It sounds like quite a challenge. Maybe one worth soloing.'

Rei quickly examined the area. On the Eastern side of the city, she saw a set of shops selling a variety of equipment and items. On the Western side was a Colosseum of sorts for players to duel. Towards the far Southern end, she noticed groups of players chatting with one another animatedly. 'Note to self: Avoid the South side of town.'

'I suppose I should check out a few quests and test out the battle system. I think this Aura class has the perfect balance of offense and defense.'She glanced over at a few pairs of players and overheard talk of forming parties to explore the different parts of "The World."

'Can I really travel through this world alone...?' She stood there at The Gate in deep contemplation... //

Ryoku, Kuro, and Alicia now were at a less-populated area, away from people, but near enough to see if anything fishy happens. After all, they were right behind the quest-NPC. Everything was in plain-sight.

He looked over to Alicia, "don't worry, little lady, being a Newbie's not so bad. It gives you a lot more room to improve upon things" he said, confidently.

Looking back on the time when Ryoku was a newbie himself, he wasn't really much of a newbie actually, he adapted to the HMD and the game faster than anyone else could. He's had surprising memory speed and calculations. His brain worked uniquely, unlike any other.

Kuro then asked "How Bout you Ryoku Know anyone who'd wanna join us?"

"Uh, I do know one person. And she herself is a new player to this type of MMO. One second" Ryoku pulled up his UI and clicked on Ami's name, to send her a message entitled -

Questing

The Message read,

Hey,

Ami, it's Ryoku. I have 2 friends who want to go hunting, just outside of Arcadia. We wanna know if you'd like to join us.

With that done, Ryoku closed out his UI and spoked to Kuro again.

"Why not ask those three over there? Can't hurt, can it?" He pointed to the group of Eile, Anzu, and Gozen Matabei nearby where they were at, as they all stood of the many people crowding them.

Ryoku lowered his tone of voice and directed it at Kuro,

"So, CC made this event, and not you, Kuro? Wonder what's so important about it. Lately, if I know, if it's probably another stupid-ass quest with a broken boss that makes everyone glitch out when their near to killing it"

Ami: Thinking

Ami found a bench in the central area of town, the area seemed rather quiet, so she decided to go and chill there. Upon sitting down, Ami took a deep breath and took a look at her surroundings. She could see a number of different Skyscrapers in the background, and she seems to be surrounded by a number of different lights. In front of her were a number of trees, and a patch of grass, she seemed to have found a park. “Seems like a nice place, I wish Tokyo had more places like this” Ami said to herself in a quiet tone.

Ami's Personal Theme begins to play

After sitting down, Ami started thinking to herself about joining the game, and the black hooded guy. ‘I wonder who that guy is, does he know me in anyway, he must know me!’ Ami continues to think to herself ‘But if he knows me, what does he want, do I have something that belongs to him, does he, like me?’ Ami looks to be in a serious look of thought, her face looks all puzzled, like she just seen something that she can’t believe. ‘Who would know me in real life, come on, I got to admit, I have no friends in the real world, it the whole reason that I came here in the first place!’

Ami started thinking of her past in the real fact, the fact that she was stuck to a wheelchair, ‘Oh yeah, that the reason, I almost forgot’ Ami thought to herself. ‘I always been that kid, the one stuck in the wheelchair, the one that just sits there and watch as the other children plays.’ Ami began to shed a tear in her eye, wiping it away, she continues to think to herself ‘That the reason I joined this game, to make friends, interactive with people, be part of the group, and join in.’ Ami finally got off the bench, composed herself, and then gave one final thought ‘I can’t let this get to me, I’m different here, I should be able to handle everything,’ at that moment, A enverlope sign appeared in the corner of her vision again.

“Oh a message,” Ami opened the message, it from Ryoku, the guy she was with before.

Hey,

Ami, it's Ryoku. I have 2 friends who want to go hunting, just outside of Arcadia. We wanna know if you'd like to join us.

“Oh, he wants to go hunting with me and a few friends, sounds fun!” Ami opened the new message window and writes a message out:

Hey Ryoku, it Ami

I would love to, I’m in town at the moment, I’ll get there as fast as my legs will allow me.

See you soon!

With that, Ami sorted herself out, and started taking a walk back to the Quest Shop to meet up with Ryoku and his friends.

OOC: Oh yea, Kirito. I tinkered with the personality tab in my profile to add her voice. It was something i forgot when i was writing. its near the middle of the tab. Also, Do you want each group to go their separate ways first or meet up before the quest?

Gozen Matabei

The more the merrier...

"I think it has something to do with a series of new quests.
Hey, why don't you come with us? You wouldn't mind that, would you Matabei?"

No. I don't think there is any reason why not.

"You sure about that Miss Anzu? You don't mind me coming with you two even though I could possibly ruin the chance of finishing this...thing?"

While the quest did indeed sound tough, Matabei didnt really feel like having Eile coming along would impede them that much. After all, Anzu has been on for about a month, so she knows the basic. As for the quest itself, even if it says God and Hunting, given the stampede at the quest office, there is a lot of people participating.

There is a lot of other people as well as us signing up. If we really DO struggle, then we can probably just team up with another group, so don't worry about it Ms Eile. BUT, until that happens, ill make sure you reach back here in once piece. You have my word.

Matabei thumped her chest in reassurance before letting out a hearty laughter, alarming several bystanders with its volume. Their conversation was interrupted by another surge of players trying to get into the small store.

Hmmmm, i dont think standing around here and chatting s a good idea. We might get pushed around a gain and a few of those behind doesn't seem to appreciate us taking line space just to chat. Lets get out onto the fields right now then? We'll iron out the rusts and get Eile up to speed. How about that?

Rieko walked down the stairs in front of the Gate. He turned towards Coco thinking of the announced event. After looking at his menu, he sent a party invitation. He said, "I don't know how well my skills will work for the event, so we should probably get a third party member. After that, I'll go register." Rieko looked around the Gate area while his character stood in idle. He saw characters he had never seen before running through town. One of them caught his eye who stood alone near the Gate. Rieko thought to himself that it was a cool looking character model. With Coco standing near, Rieko walked up to the character with icy blue hair. She had glasses and looked like she was contemplating about something.

"Excuse me. My name is Rieko." He checked again on his menu and sent a member address to the person standing in front of him. He couldn't tell if she was new or had been playing for a while. The menu showed that Rieko's member address was sent to Rei, in order to get her to sign on as a new friend and to get future party invitations.

Coco started tapping her foot while her green eyes looked towards the left at Rieko and said to him, "Uhm ..." In response to her hint, Rieko continued, "Oh. This is Coco. We were wondering if you'd like to join us on The Hunt of the God event. It will be easier once we get the area words with three people. I don't know what to expect or how long the event is." Rieko looked over her character model and noticed what kind of weapon the icy blue haired woman was holding. He thought that an event like this should be a breeze if the party ended up as two Auras and a Death Eater.

OOC: @Tipsynaruto ,Honestly thats up to you all, if you guys want to come along with us feel free, we'll all have to work together soon anyways so this would be a good chance to get to know everyones traits/character quirks.

Alicia & Kuro

"Why not ask those three over there? Can't hurt, can it?"

"Sure thats fine, we'll have to work together in the Skeith event and I think everyone around here registered to join it, it'd be a good chance to form a nice sized party to take him on with, since we have absolutely no information on him, it'd be wise to fight him with a large group." He answered. "It'll be good to team up with people hell they might even become new friends."

"So, CC made this event, and not you, Kuro? Wonder what's so important about it. Lately, if I know, if it's probably another stupid-ass quest with a broken boss that makes everyone glitch out when their near to killing it"

"Right, CC Corp pushed this event to release fairly early and with hardly any details on it, its not like them to just rush something like this... I dunno if it'll get bugged or anything, CC Corp. won't be releasing details till the hour or two before the event starts, we'll all get a notebook that lists its specs and skills." He answered again. "Also you don't need to whisper, Alicia already knows I'm part of CC Corps staff, its one reason shes able to play right now, I sent her a extra copy I swiped from the company." He laughed a little.

"So can we go meet these people and start hunting, I wanna see what the fields look like in the game, if this city looks so beautiful I can't imagine how beautiful the rest of the game is." Alicia said while having a hyper look on her face.

Kuro looked over and a sweatdrop emote went over his face. "Right, Right... I forgot how spunky you are. Shall we Ryoku?"

Eile Mura: Slow growing confidence.

There is a lot of other people as well as us signing up. If we really DO struggle, then we can probably just team up with another group, so don't worry about it Ms Eile. BUT, until that happens, ill make sure you reach back here in once piece. You have my word.

Eile nodded slightly before flinching due to the loud laughter that followed those words. She looked around a bit as people looked at her. Or more precisely, Matabei for her loud laughter. Soon enough, her laughter died down.

Eile looked at the line behind them and looked back at the two women there before nodding. With no one else offering to help and the other people looking less then kind, Eile found it easier just to stick with Anzu and Matabei. At the very least, they were friendly. Right?

"Ok. I will come with you." Eile whispered as she started to look for the exit to the field.

(@TipsyNaruto I think it's better if we all met up already. So that way, we can have an easier time posting later on. Since we don't have to be strangers to one another after that.)

Ryoku gave Kuro a huge grin, having basically given the green light to go crazy and wild on monsters, soon enough. Ryoku cherished the thought, even if monsters outside of Arcadia are way below his experience level, it's a still nice stress killer.

Before that, though, Ryoku called out to the group of Eile, Anzu, and Gozen. "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYY. You three" Ryoku shouted at the three girls, and he beckoned them to come over to where Alicia, Kuro and Ryoku were. "You guys wanna join us for some combat practice" Ryoku shouting across from the quest-shop.

He then turned back to Alicia and Kuro, "That person I messaged earlier is also coming with us. We'll just have to wait for her. Be on the lookout, her name's Ami. She's in a bright red schoolgirl outfit, she'll be easy to spot."

"So, it seems like we got ourselves a full party, should those three, choose to accept" pointing over at Eile, Anzu and Gozen once more. "So Kuro, where shall we head? A Forest? Cave? Ooooh, I know, VOL-CA-NO!?." Ryoku was too excited, he neglected that there was new person along with him.

"Well, let's get this started, then?"

Ryoku pulled up his UI and sent a party invitation to Kuro and Alicia first.

Then if Gozen's group would come, he'll also send them an invite. For now, he waited on where Kuro wanted to go, and for other party members to start showing up.

In the meanwhile, Ryoku clutched the hilt of his Katana, and drew the blade out of its sheath, in the blink of an eye, much like a samurai would. He tested to see if he still had very fast reaction time, and draw power. Everything was still as is. He spun his Katana around, testing out its weight. "Been a while, old friend" he muttered to himself, talking to the lifeless blade. It was time to put the Katana back to its home, first swinging it to the right, then left, and then with one fast movement, Ryoku twisted his wrist around and the blade found its way to the sheath. Ryoku was a true swordsman when it came to Japanese weaponry. If he was skilled with a light blade, there is no gauging how superb he would be using a normal sword.

Logging on, Name: Cecilly....Password: OmegaLamdat1

In the backround another set of keystrokes is heard

Logging onm Name: Lex....Password: TriezePardon7

Both Cecilly and Lex put on their HMD's before hitting enter. Upon doing so they went through the usual welcome and login screens. Next thing they knew they were gating into the game as they aooeared in a blue light with two golden circles surrounding them, one going up and one going down. They were right next to the arena a place they been at lately, maybe even a bit too much. Before they had a chance on what they wanted to talk about doing they heard an announcement being broadcasted.

"Well this seems like something fun to do, what do you think Cecilly? I mean how often do you get a chance to slay a god?"

Keeping her demeanor cool she just shrugged it off a bit. Just walking to the quest shop to register them she replied, "Might as well, but this is probably gonna force us to team up with other players. If we wait to much longer we might get stuck with someone useless. So let's go find someone we might be able to get along with at least. Well now that we are registered let's go kill some time before this even starts and hopefully we find a decent third wheel." She said this last part with a more exasperated tone as if forcing it. To them they thought they probably wouldn't be able to find anyone to keep up with how aggressive they could be from time to time. Walking up to the gate crystal they found three people, Cecilly just let out a disappointed sigh while Lex srugged his shoulders as Cecilly said, "Might as well try one of them, at least the girl with the blue hair look like an Aura class, may be useful to have another one of those around."

So Lex walked up to the small group and with a slight cross look in his eyes addresses the group, his gaze however stays on the blue haired girl more tying to make it seem like the question he's about to ask is more intended for her.
"So anychance any of you three are gonna participate in this event? My sister and I could use a third member for our group, especially if they force us to team up and it's random groups of people if you don't already have a full party. Honestly since you are an Aura class by the looks of it we were hoping you'd at least join us. We promise to get ya through this event in good standing, we've been playing this game for a while so we're pretty good at what we do." He added the last bit as he pointed to his sister and returned his gaze to the blue haired girl.

Anzu
More Party Members!

Anzu was half paying attention to the discussion between Matabei and Eile, especially now since she knew that Eile would be joining them in the party. But all that thinking in her head was broken when Matabei gave a hearty laugh that caught the eye of anyone and everyone near her in the Quest Shop. Even Anzu couldn't help but smile a little, but the increasingly dense cloud of people signing up meant that this was going to be hard to get back out.

"Ok. I will come with you."

Anzu smiled, "Alright, let's go!" She said cheerily as she would follow Eile out of the Quest Shop, having to try and squeeze her way out through a few incoming people. She barely got out of the way of the incoming crowd when she heard another voice coming from afar. "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYY. You three"

Anzu looked over and saw two people over there, a taller man with dark brown, almost black hair, with a big scythe on his back, and another individual, slightly shorter, with messy black hair and a sheath with two katana. Their username revealed them to be someone named Kuro and Ryoku respectively. Casually walking up to them first, she heard the man speak. "You guys wanna join us for some combat practice?"

Hearing Ryoku say that made Anzu all giddy inside, making her want to scream "More Party Members!" but she already had Eile and Matabei, and she wasn't too sure if she'd mind two more into the party.

Alicia & Kuro - New Party members

"That person I messaged earlier is also coming with us. We'll just have to wait for her. Be on the lookout, her name's Ami. She's in a bright red schoolgirl outfit, she'll be easy to spot."

"Yay! I'm glad to be meeting more new people today, so far its been a great start" Alicia said happily with a big smile on her face.

As usual Ryoku was psyched to fight monsters even if they're weaklings. "So Kuro, where shall we head? A Forest? Cave? Ooooh, I know, VOL-CA-NO!?."

"You still enjoy beating everything senseless don't you." He laughed since he knew what that big grin on Ryoku's face ment. "I figure we'd jump into a random map, since levels aren't really used in this game, the better the monsters the faster everyone progresses skill wise. I'll just set the gate to random and see what pops up."

"Well, let's get this started, then?"

Ryoku pulled up his UI and sent a party invitation to Kuro and Alicia first.

Kuro & Alicia both accepted the party request.

"So is there a limit to how many players can be in a party?" Alicia Asked Kuro.

"Ehh I think you can have around 20-25 members in a single party since the events normally require multiple people to finish it" He Answered.

After that he saw Ryoku drawing his sword and practicing with it.

"Heh, must be really wanting to slice things up huh? Are you sure your not a serial killer in real life or something" Kuro said jokingly.

Rei
~Taking a Chance~

"Excuse me. My name is Rieko." Rei was suddenly awakened from her reverie by a male's voice. She took a brief moment to examine this potential friend or foe. His hair had shades of gray and brown, and his fair skin was adorned with blue and red tattoos. She then noted the staff in his hand.'Looks like he's another Aura... He's got good taste.' She thought with a slight smirk.

Within seconds, Rei received a notification with Rieko's member address. "Uhm ..." Rei turned towards the source of the noise: A girl with cyan-colored hair and green eyes who looked a tad bit peeved at her male companion. She was equipped with a scythe. 'And a Death Eater? This should be interesting.'
"Oh. This is Coco. We were wondering if you'd like to join us on an event, The Hunt of the God. It will be easier once we get the area words with three people. I don't know what to expect or how long the event is."

'Well, that was fairly quick...!' Rei was a tad bit shocked. She had just started her account and already she had been given the opportunity to fight alongside other players; an opportunity that she had initially been very opposed to. However, this Rieko player raised a valid point; it would be much easier with more players fighting together. 'There certainly is power in numbers... as well as a greater chance for chaos,' she mused to herself.

She decided to add his member address followed by Coco's member address. "Well said, Sir Rieko. I will team up with you two then. Whatever will increase the chances of us defeating the God Skeith." She nodded curtly, then briefly introduced herself. "I'm Rei."

Just then, another pair of players approached the newly formed trio. There was a male with a unique set of silvery blue eyes and a striking shade of red hair, accompanied by a tall female with the same shade of red hair and a similar set of eyes. The male appeared to be a Twin Blader, meanwhile the female was also an Aura, but she was equipped with an elaborately designed fan.'Seems like the Aura class is pretty popular around here,' she thought with a hint of disappointment. The Twin Blader spoke up.

"So any chance any of you three are gonna participate in this event? My sister and I could use a third member for our group, especially if they force us to team up and it's random groups of people if you don't already have a full party. Honestly since you are an Aura class by the looks of it we were hoping you'd at least join us. We promise to get ya through this event in good standing, we've been playing this game for a while so we're pretty good at what we do."

The fact that they were experienced players intrigued Rei. Teaming up with them would increase the chances of her successfully navigating through the quest. However... She noticed that the red-headed Twin Blader's invitation was more directed towards her than Coco and Rieko.'Decisions, decisions...' She sighed mentally. 'And this is why playing solo is sometimes the best option.'

Not wanting to abandon her recently established party, she offered an alternate solution. "Sounds like a good plan, but perhaps having three Auras would be even better than two? And I'm sure a Death Eater will come in handy," she explained while gesturing towards the pair next to her. "I'm Rei. The staff-wielding Aura is Rieko and the Death Eater is Coco. And who might you two be?"

Rei couldn't believe it. Here she was introducing herself and joining parties. This is not how she expected her first day playing "The World" to begin. 'For the sake of this quest, I suppose I can take a chance...' //

Rieko stood near the base of the steps with one finger on his lips while staring at Coco. The Death Eater was now standing near the steps to the Gate in a day dream state. The virtual wind flowed a little on her bright sky blue and sea green dress, and her fish net stockings showed a little more on her calves as if she was about to dance. Coco was standing on the tips of her boots and holding her scythe close to her chest. She looked up towards the sky in all its graphic wonder. In her mind, hearts and flowers surrounded her head and arms while in wonder at the feeling the current situation gave to her. Coco thought to herself while drowning the rest of the world away, "Just think of it. I'm running through the fields with him, my hero, and all the people we just got coming our way to help. I can chase down more lucky animals with a party of five or more. I could get all rewarded. Teehee."

Coco was twisting by her waist as if she couldn't wait to move. To Rieko, she was in her own wonder land. There are moments when he can hear her say to herself, "Teehee ... Teehee ..." Rieko said the only thing that could come to mind, "OK." The notification that was sent for the member address was received. He shifted through his menu screen while thinking to himself and turned to walk past the pairing who approached the group. Rieko pressed the toggle switch and sent his member address to the both of them. He headed to the Quest Shop now that the line was over. This was an announced event and not supposed to be a normal quest, so Rieko guessed a second call would come sometime after initial registration.

He headed towards the Gate. Coco noticed at the corner of her eye that he was running her way. She met him at the top of the stairs and prepared to warp. It was now a waiting game. The others will know what to do. Rieko sent a message to Rei through the UI, "You can catch up as soon as you're ready or you can meet us later if there's an event call. The area words are Winding Secret Pinwheel."

Rieko and Coco teleported after entering the area words into the Gate menu. They show up outside of town waiting to see what kind of area they got into. As with any of the times Coco steps into an area outside of town, the same happens. Her character model held out her scythe to the side with her right arm, and the flower design at the end of the pole began to open like a blooming flower. Pieces of what looked like metal and ceramic start to unfold and reform itself like a puzzle. In a second, the full bloom had shown itself with shards of what seemed close to brilliant yellow glass, and pieces of hidden pedals formed into a scythe blade.

Gozen Matabei

... A lot more in fact...

The ball was beginning to roll. The party of three was probably enough to sink a substantial amount of time for Matabei, rather than twiddling her thumb at the tavern. As luck would have it, just as the trio was about to depart from the area, another voice called out for her... or the three of them to be more precise.

"HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYY. You three! You guys wanna join us for some combat practice"

In case he was talking to someone else, Matabei did a quick double check and sure enough, no one else was responding to him. They were the only group of three that was within his pointing line. In fact, said man was also recogniseable. He was Ryoku, one of the ranked players from beta. If he wanted to join up and has a group themselves, that means more people. The more the merrier was always true in Matabei's books.

Well, lucky us. Another group. Lets go join them. After all, the more the merrier. Lets regroup with Anzu Eile.

A few strides later and Matabei was behind Anzu.

Heya guys. Thanks for the invite. Itd be a pleasure to party up. Name, as you can see, is Gozen Matabei, but Matabei will do. This is Anzu and the one coming up is Eile. FYI, I'm a Breaker. Just so you know.

To be honest, it was hard to imagine her as anything else, but just to prove her point, Matabei motioned a bit with her sword. With the blade as long as the handle, it was indeed big, but it was the right ratio to Matabei.

Throw us an invite when you're ready and lets set off. I think Anzu is about to explode with excitment.

Matabei could kind of tell that Anzu was raring to go, given her expression. Ryoku was equally pumped, given that he was already trying to loosen any rust. She couldn't say she was any different. The only thing stopping her from following Ryoku's example is that her weapon was too big to do any practice swing. She'd probably behead someone or some people with it.

Well, not with PVP protection in town, but it'll still annoy people enough.... Just have to wait then.
