The universe of the nobodies is in fact an alternate dimension. You see, when a heartless is created a vessel, in other words his/her body, is left behind retaining almost every scrap of memory that the being had before transforming into a heartless. The longer you stay in a heartless form, the more memories your nobody will inherit.

The universes of the nobodies were the Twilight Town, a place in which the remnants of a being are left behind after transforming into a heartless, thus creating a nobody which is, in fact, a heartless body.

Heartless are beings of pure darkness, they are in fact the purest form of darkness extracted from the hearts and they itself enshroud those hearts in darkness, that explains why twe see hearts being released each time Sora slays one of those heartless. A heart can't survive without a body, if the heart is left free without having any protection, the darkness would end up consuming it thus creating a heartless, because the darkness would try to consume its energy.

Both Twilight Town and The World That Never Was were the locations in which there were huge amounts of nobodies. We can't left behind Castle Oblivion, the place in which Sora seemed to lose the rest of his memories and was thus sealed away by Namine with the sole purpose of restoring his memories.

This KH3 will take place somewhere near a distant past or a possible future. Also remember that part of Xehanort's past remains unknown even to Ansem the Wise himself. Xehanort was found without retaining any memories of his past, yet he possessed a high inteligence that allowed him to become one of Ansem's best apprentices.

Perhaps KH3 will explain a bit more about Xehanort...
 
in one of the trailers in youtube its pointing out the connection between the old man and xenohort he is connected and in another trailer it said 7 years later the chasers are back.. and who was that all black keyblader fighteing the other 3 along side the old man.
 
that person does look very similar to Roxas, but i dont think it's Roxas or Sora's dad, because if was they would have said something that is related to Sora, but doesnt know who it is.
 
Well...i highly doubt it's roxas. But honestly, i think this is either b4 the KH we know or WAAAAAAAY after. But it's just me, i mean, yes he looks alot like roxas but we all know that if you connect every single character of SquareEnix that looks alike we wouldnt finish today. I think it's way after KHII...but i can be completely wrong, since all im doing is taking conclusions from a trailer with no info whatsoever.
 
this is not roxas but a guy i think named van he is Supposedly related by blood to sora but it is uknown. but since kingdom hearts III is going to be a new series it is there is many possibilities

i mean really who looks that much alike and arn't related?!
 
well they both have the same hairstyle (exactly the same, each strand of hair is exactly the same for both)
but i think it has something to do with when a nobody becoming so close to having a heart then it awakens someone
 
that's a good idea maybe there's a part that we don't know about yet (what happens when a person loses their heart and such)
 
well xemnas says something about 'he' awakening when axel touched soras heart
